Anemon Grand Adana Otel

BERBAT-BERBAT-BERBAT, UZAK DURUN 10 Aralık 2022 tarihinde evlendik. İlk gecemizde otelde konaklamak istediğimiz için daha önce Samsun Anemon Oteldeki memnun kaldığımız deneyimimize güvenerek düğün gecemizde Adana Anemon Otelde konaklamayı tercih ettik. Düğünden birkaç gün önce otele giderek o gün gelin ve damat olarak geleceğimizi bildirdik. Resepsiyondaki görevli iyi ki haber verdiniz not alıyorum dedi. Gece 00.15 sıralarında otele geldik. Aracımızı Park etmemize yardım edecek bir vale yoktu. Araçtan indik yanımıza gelen hiçkimse olmadı. Gelinlik ve damatlıkla ellerimizde valizler, askıda giysilerle otele giriş yaptık. Otomatik döner kapı çalışmadığı için bir de elimizdeki eşyalarla yan taraftaki kapıyı açmakla uğraştık. Bu arada ortalıkta bir Bell boy, ya da hoşgeldiniz diyen başka bir görevli görmedik. Resepsiyona geldiğimizde resepsiyonist telefonda müşterilerden birine oda servisimiz yok beyefendi diyordu. Check in işleminden sonra resepsiyondaki görevli eşyalarımızı taşıyacak kimse olmadığını beklememiz gerektiğini söyledi. Beklemek istemediğimiz için eşyaları odaya kendimiz taşıyarak ve hiç de memnun olmayarak odamıza çıktık. Mini bar bomboştu. Bildiğiniz bomboş. Resepsiyonu arayıp bu nasıl iş diye sordum. İstediğiniz birşey varsa odaya gönderebilirim dedi. O kızgınlıkla hiçbirşey istemedik. Ertesi sabah arabadan birşey almak için odadan çıktım. Döndüğümde kapıyı çaldım. Eşim kapıyı açmadan önce kapı deliğinden bakacağı için şaka yapmak için birşey göremesin diye gözümü kapı deliğini kapatacak şekilde yaklaştırdım. O da ne? Delikten bakınca odanın içini görüyordum. Kapı deliğinden mercek düşmüş. Resmen kapıda dışarıdan bakınca içeriyi kabak gibi görebileceğiniz bir delik var. İnsanlar o odada giyinip soyunuyor. Bu kadarına yuh dedik artık. Oda no 4004. Eminim hala aynı durumdadır. Çünkü bununla ilgilenecek bir zihniyet göremedik. Bu yorumun üstüne hala kalacaklar varsa dikkatli olsun. Ancak ılık diyeceğimiz bir çay ile vasat bir kahvaltı yaptık. Kahvaltı sırasında görevliler kahvaltı salonundaki herkesin duyacağı kadar yüksek sesle sohbet ettikleri için ayağa kalkıp uyarmak zorunda kaldım. Erken saatte yaptığımız kahvaltıdan sonra daha çok kalarak sinirlerimiz bozulmasın diye içimizden lanet ederek otelden ayrıldık.

Normally Anemon in Turkey is really good…Adana location deserves a hard pass! Room was filthy, a/c not working and we were told all the other residents wanted the heat on (lies!) room smelled of smoke and it was supposed to be non-smoking. Bathroom was nasty and dim lighting, hot water barely worked. There is no carpet in the room and my feet were black on the bottom so the cleanliness level is very bad. Please save your money and pay a little extra for a hotel like Divan or Ibis. This place needs to either get their sh*t together or close down.

On recommendation my husband and I booked a table at the hotel’s restaurant for our wedding anniversary. Despite it looking like a nice restaurant, the food on offer was just the same as that on offer in any ocakbaşı in Adana. The room was disapointingly empty but for us and another couple (and a big black fly that wouldn’t leave our table). A bottle of sweet dessert white wine was produced and shown to my husband (who doesn’t really drink wine) and served served in huge glasses. While we were still obviously eating our mezes, they were cleared away for our main course …mine chicken breast. With the first bite I started to burn up as it was overly spicy. The waiter removed it and a loud argument started in the kitchen with the chef saying that the guest should ask for the meal to not be spicy. After 20 minutes, the replacement chicken came back but unbelievably salty. We paid 735tl and left. PS..We sat by the window to the terrace where, apparently, the staff go to have a cigarette. PPS…this place obviously thinks that the actual room, decor and having a waiter pull out the lady’s chair is all that is required to charge a fortune for the experience. PPPS…during our time there, I used the restroom….it was difficult to find as it was in a dark hallway. I had to enter a room to turn on the light after guessing it could be the ladies’ which it thankfully was.

I booked Anymon as a transit hotel while traveling from Istanbul to Iraq, so I was prepared for anything, but I was pleasantly pleased by the hotel's outstanding services, setting, and overall quality. If I end up in Adana again, I'll absolutely recommend it and visit again.

When I saw the reviews of others, I was a little concerned about staying at this hotel. Regarding place of hotel, it is not in city center, it is near to the highway which is helpful if you have to travel surrounding places rather than visiting inside the city. There is a shopping mall just across the hotel. Regarding rooms, I stayed in a double bed room, which was quite spacious. The bathroom was spacious as well with a duche not with a tube. The water was hot so no problem regarding using the bath. The windows were not easy to open, a little force was required. The air-conditioning was working but it is without any noise, so you may think it is not working. The room was clean. The television was rather small but there was DVD player as an asset. There is no carpet in the room which is good for allergic people. There is enough space to put your bags and luggage. There is a study corner with desk, internet connection and a desk lamp. The breakfast was good and hygienic. For restaurant I would say, there could be more choices. The menu was weak. In short it is a good choice for staying with a compatible price. I have stayed several times in Hilton in Adana and I can say that with a lower price you miss nothing. One thing I did not like was, there was no connecting room for families. Also double bed rooms and twin bed rooms were on different floors. Consider this when you stay in more than one rooms as a family.

The room was clean, but felt more like a meeting room than a hotel room. The staff was helpful and friendly. Breakfast was not special and some of the vegetables seemed to be from the previous day.

Save your money and pay a little extra for somewhere late like Divan hotel. Hotel looks nice on the outside but inside the room floor was dirty and there is no carpet. The picture when we booked the hotel must be old. It was not as it seemed (really small tv), only heat worked and hotel said they would not turn on air conditioner (I think this is a lie) and I think it’s broken. It’s also extremely loud outside. We heard dogs barking all night and cars honking. Also, when I booked the room it said no smoking but I could smell smoke in the room from past residents. The bathroom felt filthy and the flimsy slippers were useless. The refrigerator also didn’t keep anything cold. The bed only had 2 pillows, 2 for each person 😐. The hotel also seems really dead…like a ghost town maybe and this is a bad sign. Too bad my reservation was non-refundable, now I know why! Pro tip, ladies if you plan to do makeup you’re out of luck. The bathroom light is so dim you can’t see much. Hotel is listed as “5 stars” but it’s a joke. I regret staying here so badly. 😩
