The Crabtree Inn

I always stay at the Crabtree when I visit Shoreham. 6 times this year. I love it. The pub atmosphere with the bands is excellent. They treat me very well. It’s very child friendly. The food is excellent and you’re very close to Shoreham to get anything you need or have forgotten eg Boots for a hairbrush! The room I stay in is en-suite and very comfortable. It’s very close to the train station and buses stop outside. Also they serve Chardonnay which is quite rare. I lived in Sussex for many years and base myself there when people are visiting me.

Staff friendly! Whole of pub is very dated and a bit cluttered. Thought breakfast was included as advertised, but no breakfast! Should have been informed and reduction offered. A little noisy due to railway in close proximity, paintwork in toilet very, very dusty.

Dreadful place cannot believe they can charge 90 for this, cold, rotting windows, carpet in bathroom!!!, 4 mins for hot water to come through, and even a rentokil box in room, in this dy and age this place is a,disgrace and has very misleading photos

Recently renovated and upgraded. Clean and comfortable rooms with a friendly welcome. We did not eat in but returned to a Irish jam night which was a lot of fun. New landlady has introduced a lot of music and community events. Well worth a visit.

Mick, Claire, Janes and the other members of staff could not have been nicer, more welcoming or more helpful. Good pub grub for dinner, a comfy traditional large room (room 1) everything I needed. Superb traditional guest ales, live music- I’ve enjoyed my stay here immensely. Very highly recommended indeed I will definitely be back, thanks guys David

Only stayed one night, but really nice friendly welcome from staff and dogs. Lovely room and shower and less one minute from the railway station and 3 minutes from the town centre. We didn't book breakfast but so easy to find a variety of breakfasts in town.

Been here loads always great service and friendly staff, good beer selection and the food is also very good, they offer a great variety to suit any dietary requirements and also do specials aswell. Always something going on with live music on almost every week. Rooms are clean and tidy and very reasonably priced! had a great nights sleep. Will definitely be back keep it up !

Pros - Amazingly comfy beds and pillows, nice pub, lovely friendly staff who made us very welcome - train station pretty much just outside - great for travel to Brighton. Tea and coffee facilities and ear plugs incase the trains annoy you. Breakfast was nice as we didn’t realise it was included Cons- we had a problem with the toilet not flushing and ended and using the shared toilet - washing left drying on the stairs made it look shabby (the staircase when clear was actually a beautiful feature) and the toilets / bathroom had carpet on the floor which is just not great for hygiene This place has the potential to be lovely with a little money spent on it, I think they have been doing some refurbishments but in the mean time I think it’s expensive for what you get.
