Chalk and Cheese

Whilst it may not be to everyone's liking, we had a fabulous time. Such an amazing place. Full of antiquities. Hosts were such lovely warm people, we were made to feel very welcome in their home. Breakfast was enjoyable and varied. I think it's fair to say we didn't want to leave, happily could have stayed longer having felt well rested. Situated in a beautiful village with a lovely pub serving great food. The family pets were a bonus has we both love animals. The icing on the cake was the lovely weather, it couldn't have been more perfect. We will most definitely return.

Initially we were staying just one night but extended to two as we loved the place so much. Very friendly welcome, including Harry the beautiful ginger tom! We stayed in The Workshop, a separate cabin conveniently beside the card park (but quiet). The heater warmed up the room very quickly and is controlled by the occupants, so you can make it as warm or cool as you like. Very comfy bed I didn't want to get out of! Fridge and toaster in the room for convenience. Well equipped shower room with toiletries. Breakfast was splendid and unhurried. Most accommodating and welcoming hosts who went out of their way to make you feel at home, including leaving a whisky glass for my fiancé after seeing we had a bottle in our room! Recommend and would stay again if in the area. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Extremely welcoming and accommodating hosts, nothing too much trouble. We had a lovely short stay at this unusual and quirky place. Breakfast absolutely brilliant We would throughly recommend Sue and Adrian Lee

The Chalk and Cheese is an absolutely amazing find. Just a couple of miles from Marham base if you are visiting relatives there. Very dog friendly. In fact dogs are positively welcomed. Amazing hosts and the most superb breakfast. Recommend you phone them direct instead of going through a booking agency. We will be back.

The owners were welcoming and the room we stayed in (the Workshop} was separate from the main building and beautifully quiet. The shower room was spacious and tea and coffee were provided along with some yummy biscuits. We had a really comfortable night's stay.

A great B&B with lots of character and set in a pretty little village. Nice room. Lovely cooked breakfast every morning, and very friendly owners who even helped me to sort out a flat tyre on my arrival! Would definitely recommend.

We stayed at the chalk & cheese b&b for valentines ❤️ What an amazing place to stay in, so much hard work to restore this place, that Bridget & Andrew have created. Their belongings in every corner of this old school house is mind blowing. Andrew’s bar is something to behold . Lottie your full of life & charm (the dog) Bridget thank you also for giving up your fire when we returned home early . Breakfast was absolutely delicious cooked by Andrew a man to my heart wearing a pinny to cook .. We had a fun , relaxing comfortable stay. Thank you 😊

Our stay was in the four poster room, at the back of the house and accessed through the hosts' main living area. Their large and very friendly labrador accompanied us into the room and seemed reluctant to leave, which was a little awkward when trying to settle in. The bed was comfortable but the bathroom was a disappoin**ent, being unventilated and equipped with mismatched towels that were well past their use-by date: thin, and with tears across the binding. I couldn't find a hair dryer. The conservatory breakfast area was delightful and breakfast itself very good. If the local pub is closed, the next nearest dinner option is a 15 minute drive away.

Incredibly eclectic place (the outside does not give you an inkling of what awaits inside!) with a lovely couple who have been running it for many years. Lovely cooked breakfast. There are 2 dogs too, great if you are a dog lover as they are free to roam. The local pub is a real local and serves a good dinner.
