Rest Chinatown Hotel

walls are thin, can hear sounds in the middle of the night. hard to sleep with disturbance entrance of hotel difficult to locate smart tv service is only catered for guests that understand chinese lighting is nice :)

honestly, nothing much to complain. location wise is perfect, just 2 mins walk to MRT station. food is everywhere near the hotel.

Nice Room. Super friendly and helpful staff. Especially when we check out the room. Reception staff will remind me any i**es might be left behind(in sfaety box and bathroom). So sweet. That's why we went to this hotel since the name Hotel 1888 until they changed to Rest Chinatown Hotel. By the way, dont missed out the 2nd floor dim sum restaurant "Yum Cha".

Cozy and comfy boutique hotel in the heart of Chinatown. Comes recommended. Fairly priced and overall room design is chic.

Location is not far from train station but far from the shopping malls. The walls are thin so the noises can be heard easily. Other than that, good stay!

The hotel is located in a very central location and it is value for money considering how expensive accommodation are in Singapore. The room is small but it is comfortable and you have everything needed.

The hotel is located in middle of Chinatown! Easy to find everything around there and the price is reasonable but a bit small. What I love is the room is nice even it is small, service was good. Near street has a nice drawing wall, good spot for you and friends :)

Very good location for going anywhere in SG also good food around there for Chinese’s food thanks and will see you next time

The guy at the front desk with long straight hair covering half his face is one of the most unpleasant persons I have ever met. Extremely disagreeable, rude and rigid. He is completely unsuitable to be in the service sector. The room is much more dinghy than the pics look. Everything is old and worn out. Couldn’t sleep as the aircon was not cold enough. By morning, it was blowing hot air, almost as if someone had turned off the aircon compressor, and it was just the fan function. Maybe the hotel did this on purpose to save money? The toilet is badly/cheaply designed as the glass is transparent, so you can see the toilet bowl when lying in bed. Very unpleasant. Thought the glass can be blurred, but it can’t. The “hotel” even tried to save on the cheap translucent film, and only used this in the double room. So singles have to look at the toilet bowl all night. Be warned also that the toilet door doesn’t go all the way to the ceiling, so the air from the toilet flows freely into the bed area. You will be breathing/smelling everything from the toilet while sleeping.
