Hôtel Elite

We stayed here only one night as the main hotel we wanted to stay at was fully booked on the first day we arrived in Sion. It was conveniently close to the train station (about a 10 min walk) and well located for cafes and restaurants in the old town, which were only a short walk away. The reception is really only a tiny desk in a corner of a restaurant - not very impressive! And there is a very small and old fashioned lift that takes you up to the rooms, just enough to squeeze in 2 people with luggage. Our room was very small and compact, which we didn't mind for a single night's stay. However there was no air conditioning, and in 30+ C heat, the room felt like an oven. They provided a cooler/humidifier in the room which we were compelled to use, but the noise from the machine kept us awake at night. Opening the windows was a no-no because of the noise from the street which went on until quite late (there is a bar/restaurant right below). The bathroom is also only just a glass cubicle in a corner of the room - very cramped, although the shower was decent. The beds were also soft, and generally the room felt stuffy and cramped. OK for a single night, but definitely not for much longer. We did not have breakfast at the hotel as there were cheaper and good options just a few minutes away. When we checked out, they gave us a small bottle of wine, which was a nice touch. It could be OK for a night or two, but definitely NOT in the summer when it's too hot in the room to sleep. They also insisted on us giving our phone number to have the WiFi password texted to us - not a good idea to give out phone numbers like this for obvious reasons, so we did not use the WiFi here at all. On the overall, not a wonderful experience, sad to say.

Very friendly staff and clean rooms with comfortable beds. Good shower and working desk with excellent WIFI connection. Breakfast buffet is very good and starts already at 6.30Hr. It is a 5 minute walk from the train station and bus station for all regional buses.

Wir waren mit Freunden 1 Nacht. Die Zimmer sind zum Teil in die Jahre gekommen und WC/Dusche sind sehr eng. Ich persönlich hatte ein neueres Zimmer, aber auch WC/Dusche zu eng Die Zimmer waren alle sauber Das Frühstück war gut und hatte verschiedene Sachen

Notre chambre empestait la fumée (la précédente cliente avait fumé à l intérieur durant 3 jours, sans que le personnel ne reagisse). Toutes nos affaires se sont imprégnées de l'odeur et nous avons dû dormir les fenetres ouvertes par 2 degrés. La direction a refusé de faire un geste financier. Pour couronner le tout, un des trois lits était en réalité un canapé-lit inconfortable et il y avait des taches très douteuses sur les coussins des deux autres lits.

Chambre très petite, chaleur insupportable et pas de climatisation (nous n’avons pas pu dormir même avec fenêtre ouverte), personnel odieux qui préfère rester à boire des coups en terrasse avec ses amis que régler notre problème de coffre qui ne marche pas. Inimaginable qu’il existe encore ce type d’hôtel. A éviter

Doppelte Buchung wurde einfach hingenommen und nicht einmal beim checkin/checkout etwas gesagt und im beide Zimmer wurde voll verrechnet (1 zum voraus und das 2. im Nachhinein!). Auf Reklamation deswegen wurde nur erwidert, dass halt doppelt gebucht wurde (auf den selben Namen!) - absolut kein Entgegenkommen! Das Zimmer war sehr klein und das Frühstück unterklassig.... Nie mehr in dieses Hotel!
