Il Duomo

Small hotel very close to Il Duoma in the Ortigia section of Siracusa. Fantastic location, close to everything in Ortigia. Very friendly and helpful owners and staff. The included breakfast is one of the best included hotel breakfasts we have had. The facility itself is fine but by no means luxurious. Most rooms are at the top of a long staircase, although staff will gladly help with heavy bags.

Fantastic gem of a B&B hotel in a superb location. Stefano and his Wife who own and run the hotel could not be more helpful and friendly. They were both delightful and knowledgeable. All the staff from the wonderful Lady who prepared the excellent breakfast each morning to the House Keeping staff were the same. The rooms are comfortable and immaculately clean. Great value and good fun using the secret door in the main Piazza to entry the hotel. Awesome place to stay.

We had a fantastic stay, I highly recommend! The couple running the hotel are wonderful and warm, and very helpful. The room was impeccable and super comfortable. It was also quiet, which is very rare for Ortigia. There was also a free breakfast with an amazing selection of sweet and savoury food. As for the location, you can't beat it!

The location was excellent: less than 100 metres from the Cathedral, with shops, bars and restaurants all around. The couple who run the hotel are easily the most helpful hotel managers ever: they helped us park the car a few hundred metres from the hotel, brought our luggage up from the car park and into our room. When we checked out, they fetched our car. The managers could not have done more to help us enjoy Syracuse. Our room was spacious, good bathroom, and an excellent bra,Alfa’s t including some hot dishes.

Location couldn’t have been more central than this. Close to the Cathedral and its square, the coast, interesting shops and restaurants. All outshone by the fabulous hosts. They helped us park the car and even fixed some broken sunglasses. Stay here.

We were second time in Syracuse and this hotel will be one reason why perhaps we come third time. Owners were so kind and arranged everything we asked. Also breakfast and the crew there were excellent. It couldn't be better location, all you need is in walking distance.

We stayed here for 2 nights - the owners were so helpful and inviting- they parked my car for me and we were invited for a special breakfast. They were wonderful and caring hosts. If you come to Syracuse you must stay here you won’t be disappointed! So many restaurants to choose from all in walking distance- have a drink down by the sea!

Stefano offers an unbeatable location with fabulous value. It is located in a secure and charming building simply steps away from the Cathedral. You are surrounded by the sites, sounds and smells of Ortigia. Stefano is very helpful in arranging parking (not an easy task in Ortigia). The breakfast was top notch as well. The price point is so very good - simply unbeatable! We go to visit relatives very often and stay in Ortigia each time. This was the first time with Il Duomo as our usual choice was booked. We will be sure to come back and make Il Duomo our first choice going forward!

Very kind helpfull even for parking he helped us that was really nice great fresh break fast and very very clean good location he even gave us the room early as we needed a shower room very quite and comfortable beds. The place is amazing i will be back some other time for sure
