Kanapitsa Mare Hotel

Hotel terribile per arrivare alle stanze ci sono corridoi all'aperto paragonabili ad un centro di detenzione con ascensori montacarichi e una puzza di disinfettante ed altro che ti attacca la gola. Situato tutto in salita scomodo per le valigie pieno di scale alcune stanze offrono una vista sul mare peccato si veda un tetto dell'edificio tutto coperto malamente e abbandonato di copertura tipo asfalto e ile camere con questa vista hanno il balcone con la struttura per non cadere completamente arrugginiti che si muovono con il rischio di fare un bel volo in avanti e condizionatore situato in balcone arrugginito. Le camere di cui la maggior parte vecchie con infissi che non si aprono e macchie di muffa vengono scambiate per nuove, un lato piccolo dell'hotel e stato ristrutturato peccato che una parte è completamente in costruzione a cielo aperto. L'odore forte anche nella nostra camera di disinfettante e fogna , che fatto presente alla signorina della reception più volte lei come risposta ci ha fatto vedere uno spruzzino per l'acqua per rinfrescare l'aria. La piscina di colore verde non si vede il fondo, trattamenti non adeguati. Mentre si fa la colazione mediocre non si può non guardare fuori da porte finestre grandi ma che purtroppo i vetri essendo completamente opacizzare dall'intervento di qualche ristrutturazionie alla meno peggio quindi rovinati completamente. Il direttore o qualsivoglia proprietario o responsabile chissà di cosa visto che poverino non sa come affrontare la situazione quindi ogni cosa la prende veramente male e risolve facendoti un dispetto uno dietro l'altro. Naturalmente non consiglio vivamente di soggiornare in tale hotel visto i prezzi di poco inferiori ad un resort 5 stelle!

La nostra vacanza di una settimana in questa isola paradisiaca è stata fantastica per tanti aspetti e naturalmente la permanenza nell’hotel kanapista ha avuto il suo ruolo. In primis abbiamo apprezzato la cortesia,gentilezza e disponibilità smisurate dell’intero staff, inoltre la comodità della location praticamente a metà tra il centro del paese e le spiagge ci ha permesso di visitare la maggior parte delle spiagge e di frequentare la movida notturna del centro. Inoltre abbiamo apprezzato le colazioni sempre abbondanti e diverse,arricchite da ricette locali e da un’ampia scelta tra dolce e salato. Le stanze anche se datate sono pulitissime e funzionali, con verandina dotata di stendino davvero comodissima. Infine la zona piscina con affaccio sul bar regala momenti di puro relax.

Our stay was perfectly ok but some focus on attention to detail would have made such a difference with relatively little effort. Positives - The hotel was spotlessly clean throughout. Breakfast was first class, as were the breakfast team. Our room (303) was also exceptionally quiet, great view and not overlooked by anyone. Negatives - No glasses or kettle in our room. We asked for glasses twice, they never arrived. The overflow from the condenser on the air conditioner was never emptied (we did it ourselves) and next doors overflowed onto our balcony. Perhaps this could be on housekeeping’s list of jobs? The drains in the bathroom were particularly pungent, eye wateringly so overnight! The smell from the waste tank at the bottom of the drive was also most unwelcoming. Some tended planting in the flower beds and balcony planters would also make a real difference. Small things but easily remedied. That said, we had a fabulous holiday, thank you.

My Mum and I have been coming to this hotel for over 10 years and we can’t wait to return in 2024. The hotel is in a great location with a beautiful beach and several great tavernas within easy walking distance. There is a great bar, which serves the best drinks and cocktails, and there is a lovely clean pool, which is never overcrowded (bonus). There is an excellent selection of food at breakfast, and the rooms we have stayed in have always been clean with a stunning sea view. The hotel has recently refurbished several of the rooms - we stayed in one of these rooms last year and it was absolutely fantastic! The air conditioning unit was new and so were the beds, which were extremely comfortable. What really makes this hotel stand out is the staff, who are always so friendly and helpful - nothing is too much trouble. Whenever we return to this hotel, we get the warmest welcome and feel as though we are coming home. See you soon! :-)

Brilliant Hotel, very friendly staff, couldn’t do enough for us. View from our balcony was amazing.Lovely choices for breakfast. Great location . 15 mins on bus to Skiathos town, and short walk to beach . Would definitely recommend.

After reading reviews we were extremely concerned as this was our first holiday abroad since 2019. We were extremely surprised when we arrived to be greeted with extremely lovely efficient staff and a really lovely hotel. None of the horror stories that we had read just prior to our departure. A very warm welcome awaited us. Lovely clean spacious room, big comfy bed, lovely white sheets and super pillows. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice each morning, beautifully supervised by the lovely bubbly Anastasia. Pool area was lovely with plenty of sun beds. Bar area next to pool expertly run by Marios and his team of lovely ladies. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for such a lovely holiday.

Superb views with stunning sunrise. Excellent air conditioning and very comfortable bed. Our first visit and would definitely book here again. Staff are fantastic and cannot do enough to help you. Very friendly and relaxed a**osphere. Pool and bar great and food fantastic. Great position for bus stop or water taxi to Town. Close to sandy beaches and tavernas. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We were there in the first week of July just before the busier period on the island. It was quiet and relaxed and set just up the hill in Kanapista. You really have to take the time to appreciate the beautiful setting with views over the bay and peninsula, the lovely entrance hall, large swimming pool and terrace and bar area built into the mountain rocks, surrounded by pine trees. The breakfast is wide ranging up to 11 am which is great for lazy mornings. The staff are very friendly and keen to help with any issues. There were a couple of little things but these were easily sorted. The room was big enough with balcony views across the Aegean (recommended), an extremely comfortable bed and very efficient air conditioning. Kanapista has 2 beaches and we felt no need to travel wider with a brilliant beachside taverna (must visit) and a first class restaurant (Johnny’s) and just one supermarket. So much quieter and more chilled than many locations but enough a**osphere to keep you in tune. There is a hotel restaurant in its early stages of development which could benefit from some wider and more traditional Greek vegetarian options (meze) and perhaps some music evenings to boost the later evening vibes. There’s a bus service on the door stop for travelling across the island and an ace water taxi for getting to Skiathos town for more vibrant and energetic evenings if you want them. We were fully satisfied with all aspects of the location and the hotel and the whole experience. Ignore any negative reviews - highly recommended - we’ll be back. The lifts alone are unique - all very uplifting. 😀 Thanks to all staff. 😎

Ok but nothing special. Pool was unclean, I didn’t use it once and a pool is why I choose to go on holidays. We actually used pools in different hotels. Most of the staff seemed nice enough. Rooms weren’t clean and no safe provided. One of the cleaners left our balcony door open all day so there were bugs everywhere. No entertainment and zero a**osphere after 9pm. Location is good!
