Weekend visit here - 2 adults one child. Room was clean, warm and comfortable. Staff were exceptional. Very welcoming and knowledgeable. Breakfast was fab - lots of choice and really tasty. Breakfast room staff super friendly - Asha and chef were great. Team work at its best. Thank you.

Good location - walking distance to restaurants and supermarkets. Clean and tidy room. Good size bathroom. Loads of hot water. Room temperature good. Staff very friendly, especially Asha and Brooke. Our kids also received a free notebook, pencil and toy. Would definitely stay again.

Just got back from a overnight stay at the Hotel.Where do i start the reception were great very helpful.The room was spotless credit to the cleaners.The overhall stay was like a 5 star stay couldn't fault a thing.The restuarant next door is closed but at reception they have made a list of local places to eat to suit everyone.If we ever go back to South Shields the hotel will be first on are list.

A pit stop on our way home North, booked very last minute on a Saturday night to arrive within the hour, so we were surprised we managed to secure such last minute availability, especially on a weekend! A great wee Premier Inn, the Premier Plus room was lovely, loved the walk in rain-shower, new toiletries and the fridge facility, well worth upgrading for a few quid. The bed was very hard for our liking, but other than that, a perfect overnighter on what was a long journey. It did what it said on the tin, continuity is what is guaranteed at Premier Inn, you know and appreciate what you are getting. The only thing missing in this hotel was a communal bar area, it would have been nice to have had a drink at a hotel bar after such a tiring journey, but a 10 mins taxi ride to Coleman’s Seafood Temple made up for the lack of hotel facilities. Receptionist, I think her name was Kim, first class! Thank you Port of Tyne Premier Inn, North East service with a Geordie smile! We would not hesitate to use again when in town.

Pleasant staff, fantastic new breakfast room with a full range. Very clean all round. We came for a weekend with family and got a great price. Reception and breakfast staff very helpful. Quiet for a good night's sleep. Will definitely use again.

Excellent room. Very comfortable and everything we would expect plus a lot more. At breakfast Brook and Asha were excellent. Brook prepared perfect porridge for my other half, and Asha was friendly, welcoming, never stopped smiling, and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a great stay. Would highly recommend.

We have stayed here years ago and it was great but the quality of the hotel has now been upgraded the rooms are excellent and the walkin shower a great addition and supurb. Location is very good and a great nights sleep.The location was great for us as meeting for a family occasion

After a year of two of looking a bit tired, hotel is recently refurbished and rooms are lovely. Looks like a boutique hotel room. Bathroom has huge walk in shower. New breakfast room is open so you can, after 2 years, actually have breakfast there. Food was lovely and couldn't fault anything. Staff, as always, are really very friendless and helpful. Reception is last area awaiting refurbishment, but still looks nice.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was nice and warm and not noisy. The room was also spacious for a family of 4. The bathroom was clean. The breakfast was yummy with a good selection and not busy like other premier inns. Brooke and Valerie are both lovely.
