I love a spacious room, and when it comes with a view, it only gets better! Having stayed with a view of the Dal Lake during all of my trips to Srinagar, this time we decided to explore further, and with Radisson's first Collection property in India, we booked without thinking twice, and here's what I loved. * the staff is so welcoming & warm, they make you feel at home. Big ups to Ms. Sabina Akhtar from Guest Relations who truly makes you feel comfortable in the first few minutes of knowing her. Mr. Imran & Mr. Gowar from the Restaurant / In Room dining, and the larger team of the hotel. * the hotel, and the rooms are modern, chic and so contemporary with elements of Kashmiri design, it comes as a breather from the usual that you'll see in Srinagar. * we stayed at the One Bedroom Suite which comes with a LONG balcony, and a peaceful view of the Jhelum River, and we were lucky enough to see fresh snow in the morning from the room. * the washroom is spacious, the powder room is ideal to get ready at, and they have thought of the finer details, like a full size mirror in the room for a quick fit check before you head out. * while we didn't get a chance to eat too many meals in the hotel, the breakfast concept was interesting with an option of 'Pack & Go', and a select display with everything else on table order, that means fresh & warm food to start the day. We also happened to do a quick dinner at their Indian restaurant, and for someone who has eaten Dum Aloo for years, the one they prepped was great! * they offer an indoor pool, a gym and a spa - couldn't use either of the three but took a stroll around. Apparently, they're also coming up with their bar soon called Mehfil. * proximity to the airport is great, around 25 minutes, and about 10 minutes to Lal Chowk. Dal takes about 30 minutes but once you're out and about, movement is swift. Glad to have stayed here, and can't wait to be back with the fam!
