Porto Azzurro Aparthotel

On est resté 5 jours dans une chambre avec cuisine, le séjour s’est très bien passé. La chambre était très bien, agréable, spacieuse. Le côté cuisine était parfait, four, four micro-onde, plaque de cuisson, bouilloire, frigo, congélateur, etc. Le quartier est sympa mais il n’y a pas grand chose, on recommande la location d’une voiture.

J'ai pris une chambre avec formule petit déjeuner (qui est bien marqué lors de la réservation sur le site) + justificatif sur mon reçu mais on m'a dit que le petit déjeuner n'est pas compris. J'ai bel est bien montré le reçu indiquant cela mais l'information que l'hôtel a reçue n'est pas correcte indiquant que pas de petit déjeuner. Ils ne veulent pas trop entendre. Bref, pour ne pas faire d'histoire sur cela, j'ai dit OK. Si je l'ai su, j'ai pris une autre formule. Un peu décevant de la part de trip.com

old hotel falling apart! how dirty, with **** everywhere. the towels smelled like ****, and had hair from other guests! everything dirty. stupid-looking employees. I've never seen anything like it. this is the real hotel hell!

Personale gentile, prezzo molto buono.. Posizione a circa 10 minuti dalla zona con più vita e vicinissima a tutte le spiegge più conosciute

Well I love this apart hotel firstly it's reasonable, I love the location asxi always rent a car...Its away from crowd...The pool is amazing... Property is bit old but not bad..they really try to manage and maintain well

We stayed at the Porto Azzuro hotel in Xemxija for 1 week. Having read all the reviews pryer to going we knew that it was 2/3* accommodation so wasnt expecting too much. First..the Positives, Very helpful on reception booked in no problem, there was a nice lady on reception most days who was very nice helpful giving us information on buses etc. Our room was on top floor and we were pleased with the size of room and the lovely large balcony looking over the sea to the side and also pool and countryside. Ok the room especially some of the kitchen equipment very dated could do with updating but in working order so did the job. Now to the beds lets just say if you are ok with a very firm mattress with absolutely no give in it your be fine, personally it was way too hard and the lack of sleep due to this didnt help my husband and me. Toppers could help abit if new mattresses were not an option. Cons.. Breakfast we have stayed in a few 3* accommodations in the past but never had to pay extra for different type eggs ie fried or scrambled, fruit, and cereal all extra money ontop of what we already paid for b / b. The breakfast was very poor and COLD in future we would not opt for b/b just self catering unless staying in a 4/5* hotel. Saying all this if you want somewhere to stay for a few days at reasonable price close to bus stops its ideal we opted for a bus pass and went all over the place but be warned buses can be very very packed be prepared to stand. We paid 50euros for 2 passes and easily recooped the money by end of week. One more thing Xemxija is very quite (apart from the traffic) as in not many places to eat if you want night life Bugibba is the place to go or Sliema. We found a great restaurant /bar called the Hatch in the Ushuaia boutique hotel about 400 metres up the road, also a great little chinese restaurant around the bay very popular so book, there is a curry house which we didnt try and a coffee bar also which is ok for drinks ie beer, coffee, but did not rate food. This was our 2nd trip to Malta some lovely places to visit if you like history and architecture. Alot of building work being done everywhere which is a shame.

We booked to stay at this hotel at the start of April. Our first impressions weren’t good, we arrived at the reception and there was staff basically arguing at the reception desk. But after that, the staff were generally ok. The room security systems are largely dated, they’re manual lock and key which you have to leave and collect from the hotel every time you come back. In our room we had a fan in the ceiling which was wobbling like it was going to come off the ceiling, but generally the room was dated, bathroom was good. The breakfast at this hotel is not great, we just had toast and tea every morning, that’s how bad it is, they even served burnt croissants which is shocking. All in all, it’s an ok base but I would recommend just staying with a self catering option. There are definitely better hotels which are more central in St Paul’s bay which would only cost slightly more. There isn’t many shops locally in this area. I would say the hotel is in a peaceful area with a bus stop not far away which you can use to get around the island.

Vergane glorie. Verschrikkelijk oudbollig. Oude kamers. Wordt skecht of niet schoon gemaakt. Skechte bedden. Geen water in buitenzwembad. Vreselijk ongezellig. Zijn geen faciliteiten. Is eigenlijk schandalig dat ze dit verhuren. Ligt in st Paul's bay. Is zeeer druk met verkeer.
