Overall not great. We booked a week stay here as part of a package holiday but left early. First warning was the receptionist would only give us one key card for the room. When I said "but there are 4 of us" (couple and two teenagers) she shouted that she had 200 guests and could not give more than one key per room. We never felt we could ask her for any advice or information about the area. She made us feel as if we were a nuisance. Secondly, the 'indoor pool' is hilariously small, like a children's pool and the outdoor pool was only cleaned on the third day of our stay. Also, the maid knocked on our door to clean the room early each morning even when we told her that we were getting ready to go out for the day and just needed a little time. The decor is shabby and in need of updating. Our room was a little dark and depressing, with the smallest TV I've seen in years, about the the size of a laptop. The breakfast wasn't of great quality although there was a lot of choice. As for the positives, the little balcony was nice and it looks quite pleasant from the outside. Most of the other staff, at reception and in the breakfast room were polite and helpful. It's not in a great area but it is a short walk to the local bus terminus and the promenade is close by. There are also lots of coffee shops and restaurants in the area. It's definitely not a 4 star hotel and badly needs an upgrade to bring it out of the 1980s. If you are just planning to sleep here for a few nights, and get out every day for day trips it should be OK, but if you have notions of relaxing by the pool or having a few drinks in the bar, forget it. The one night we got back from a long day out I ordered a drink and the barman asked if I wanted another before he closed;it was 10pm! We booked a B&B for the last 2 nights of our stay, which was lovely by comparison.
