Arrived very late quick reception service got us into our room very quick We were upgraded which is always good . The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly. The ground to the hotel is the best I’ve seen very floral and green . Would definitely recommend

We chose this due to it being self catering. Could just about plug the kettle in. No plugs in kitchen. No plugs in bedroom to do hair. For self catering it needs to be kitted out to offer self catering!

So stayed at these apartments prior to getting married in crete.we had let the owners know our plans.the apartment we were given was stuck at the back with no balcony and a small yard at the back with a a wall for a view.there was no shade so u couldn't sit out.self catering but bare minimal essentials in kitchen.stopped serving bar food early with no signage advising of this.bar closed early on a night.not many staff on duty at any one time.u have to use an underpass down from apartments to get to the beach.seemed to cater for mostly Dutch guests.room was kept clean every second day shower terrible with plastic curtain.bathroom smell not pleasant.air con over one bed ??.all in all will not be going back.disapointed to say the least.

The apartment overall although small was adequate. The bathroom was one of the best I have had especially the shower it was fantastic.there was a couple of points that weren’t good you needed cash for nearly everything and the buffet was rather dull and boring toaster took ages as there wasn’t one in room.the biggest disappointment was on the last day we had booked a day trip but had to cancel it as we couldn’t keep the room till six o’clock as we had booked but could only get it till three as they said they had a last minute booking

We wanted a lovely hotel, quiet and away from the main area, and we got it. Maria Lambis ticks all the boxes. Staff can't do enough to help, rooms and grounds lovely with flowers and stunning cactus all around. The bar is a great place to spend some time in the daytime, and even better in the evening. We had a small issue which was down to Jet2 but hotel went out of their way to sort it. Its worth paying the extra for a superior studio that sleeps 3 even if you are a couple, they are all on high floors so you get more breeze coming through. We have had a rough couple of months for health reasons and we just need 2 weeks of relaxation, lovely walks, great food and ice cold beer, Maria Lambis and Stalida gave us that in bucket loads. To the right of the hotel is a supermarket at the bottom of the hill (First time we have ever found Caffeine free coke in Greece) and several underpasses to get under the road, 2 for pedestrians only and 2 for cars and pedestrians (Watch your head on the car ones) to the left is another closer supermarket and 2 more underpasses to the sea Thank you Maria Lambis, Vicky, Nikos, Manos and all the other staff, we will be back!

If it's peace & quiet you are searching for, Maria Lambis is a good choice, we had a lovely stay here, we arrived late to be greeted by Manos, who checked us in quickly and helped us up to our room as there is no lift, a little heads up if you are less mobile, this probably isn't the place for you, there are a lot of steps everywhere. We booked a superior suite, which was above the breakfast area and overlooks the mountains, nice kitchen area fully equipped, although a little toaster would be nice, lots of storage for your clothes, the bathroom, well that was just wonderful, the shower area is huge with glass sliding doors, and lots of space to put all of your makeup, and shower gels etc. The pool area is so pretty with all of the flowers, and we never struggled to get a sun bed. Breakfast....there is definitely room for improvement here, we only had breakfast once, scrambled or boiled egg, fried ham, fresh tomatoes, and some bread, jams and honey, we noticed it was the same every day, and was not worth 8 euro's, you can definitely get better options just down the road. The cleanliness was excellent and the staff lovely. Would we stay again, yes absolutely. See you next year Maria Lambis

The Maria stalis is lovely hotel clean spacious the staff are excellent The shower was fantastic best shower ever The pool lovely but very cold it's a bit of a walking so if your fit it's OK but if you have walking difficulties don't stay there but it's clean

A good basic, budget venue. Emphasis on basic. A pleasant pool, clean rooms, nice grounds and a small bar. 10 minute walk to the beach and town which is OK. Friendly and helpful staff. Free WiFi only in bar / reception area or at a supplement in your room. Good for the price.

We spent 2 weeks here. Our room, room 16 was great, lovely recently renovated bathroom, everything else basic but functional, it was a studio and the only thing that would improve the self catering would be a toaster, we had a kettle, fridge, 2 ring electric hob. We never spent more than one afternoon beside the pool so cannot comment on that. The price of drinks, 4 Euros for a large beer, more than in the main resort which I suppose is to be expected, we only had food on the last day waiting for pick up, 2 burgers and fries, everything was from the freezer including the bread, very poor quality. The distance from the heart of the nightlife in Stalis is about a 10 - 15 minute walk, via the underpass, it's not a bad walk in the day, not great in the evening after a good night in the bars. To summarise, as stated in a previous review, the hotel is clean and basic, it's a bit out of the way, the staff are impersonal and not helpful, you would not leave here looking for a repeat booking on the way to the airport.
