The Ark Stanley Luxury Bed and Breakfast

Such a fantastic B&B and great hosts - loved our two night stay. Everything you could think of needing in a room was there - the little touches were appreciated. Hosts were really friendly and helpful - highly recommend staying here when visiting the north west.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at The Ark Stanley. Lovely quality accommodation, very well located and superb breakfasts to get our day off to a great start. We would happily stay there again. Our hosts were communicative, friendly and informative as well as serving up some great tucker!

The Ark at Stanley has to be one of the very best B&Bs we’ve stayed at. The quality of the rooms, the location, the breakfasts and the friendly helpful hosts Rhonda and Chris made our stay awesome, couldn’t fault a single thing. Highly recommend.

This cute house is easy walking distance to everything. We saw penguins hiding in the rocks straight across the road. The owners Chris & Rhonda cooked us a beautiful breakfast and chatted easily to us in their kitchen while they cooked. The upstairs admiral room is huge with great views overlooking the water. We arrived at The Ark and thought it was too good to be true. Wow, what a property and what a location. We were fortunate to stay in The Admiral Suite, a very spacious and comfortable piece of heaven with a few Swedish tokens, artistically on display. So comfortable was the bed, that it encouraged sleep and discouraged getting up early! The proximity to other scenic landmarks was awesome. Yes, Stanley is a small place, but so much to see and do. Our favorite was watching the tiny penguins coming home from a day spent at sea. When we met the hosts, there was no doubt that this would be one of our greatest Tasmania memories. They love to cook, which worked out so well, because we love to eat. A hearty yet astonishingly well balanced breakfast of color and substance complete with homemade yogurt, preserves, bread and a very skillful presentation of sautéed mushrooms and greenery. Various ripe fruits for the grabbing, and a brilliant eye opening coffee press. If you chat with them, you will quickly learn which one is from Sweden. He even had Cloudberry jam at the ready. We spent an enchanted two nights out of a 10-day sweep through Tas. This lodging and all that goes with it, were GRAND in every way.

Enjoyed our one night stay at the Ark, room was large and clean. You can walk to the hotel for dinner in seven minutes.

Beautifully clean, gorgeous view, comfortable and quiet. The owner was lovely to deal with and very helpful. It is a short walk to all lovely Stanley has to offer. You really couldn’t ask for more. We’ll certainly be back next time we are there.

We enjoyed the top floor space which was huge, welcoming and comfortable. Our hosts were great. Great location. Delicious breakfast. Laundry was handy. Easy parking even with our Prado with bikes on the back! There is more to do in the area than we realized. Our only regret was not staying for longer.

Beautiful room with delightful friendly hosts. Everything was very clean and well presented with everything provided. Gorgeous homemade cooked and continental breakfast which was complimentary. I would thoroughly recommend this place in the pretty town of Stanley.
