"The room was newly renovated, and the amenities were basic but perfectly functional. The staff provided warm and friendly service. My only minor gripes were a slight lingering smell from the renovation and that I was disturbed twice by street noise, around 1 AM and 3 AM, as my room was street-facing. Nevertheless, it was a decent stay overall."

The beautiful proprietress was very careful and recommended nearby food. Our family of three had a pleasant weekend in Hebei. So close, so beautiful, it is worth coming to Hebei on weekends! This is the third time I have come to Chengde. The impression is very good. I leave a very good memory every time. Thank you, the boss, I highly recommend the winner homestay!"

The room feels refreshing as soon as it comes in, full marks. The theme of the room is too suitable for our young people, and it is too comfortable to watch a movie."

"We had a perfect stay at the Tuke Light hotel. The hotel was conveniently close to the railway station, as well as to several bus stops, which we could use to get around town. The room was comfy, clean, modern, and everything worked just as expected. We used the complimentary laundry facility, and also there everything was new and clean. The hotel staff was the perfect addition to this already good hotel: they were kind, helpful, and went out of their way to help us have a pleasant stay and enjoy as much time as we could in Chengde. Really recommended!!"

"The small courtyard halfway up the mountain is unique. There are tables and chairs in the courtyard for guests to drink tea and chat. It should be very comfortable in summer. There are three accommodation rooms in total. On the second floor, there is a swing at the top of the stairs, which children like very much. It was very peaceful to sleep at night. In the morning, I opened the curtains and let the sunlight shine in. The baby went out to play on the swing wearing slippers😄 The boss, Brother Li, was very enthusiastic. He not only helped us solve the ticketing problem, but also sent us food guides, travel notes, etc. Thank you very much. The recommended barbecue was very delicious. We ordered it twice (we asked for an errand and it was delivered in 20 minutes). Da, very convenient)😋 Finally, I suggest everyone to arrive a day early during the holidays. We arrived at the courtyard at around 10pm on the 30th, and went to the summer resort early on May 1st, which was perfect to avoid the crowds😁"

GGuest UserOur stay at Shanhai Premium Guesthouse was an incredibly peaceful and rejuvenating experience! The mountain surroundings were absolutely breathtaking, with fresh crisp air that immediately washed away all our city stress. The room was cozy and well-designed, featuring traditional Chinese elements blended with modern amenities. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was perfect for exploring the Wuling Mountain area, and we loved waking up to the sound of birds and seeing the misty mountain views every morning. The hiking trails nearby were well-maintained and offered stunning views of the landscape. Although it was a bit remote, that was exactly what we were looking for - a true escape from urban life. The local breakfast was delicious and featured fresh, organic ingredients from the area. We particularly enjoyed the evening stargazing, as the night sky was crystal clear away from city lights. This place is absolutely perfect for couples seeking a romantic getaway or anyone looking to reconnect with nature. We would definitely recommend this hidden gem to all our friends and family, and we plan to return again in the different seasons to experience the changing beauty of the mountains. GGuest UserWe hiked the Great Wall of China from Gubeikou to Jinshanling and chose this hotel to rest after the day. The accommodation is ideally located, right next to the entrance gate to the Wall. The host was very welcoming, and the room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. All the beautiful photos you see of his establishment were taken by the host himself! Since we were there during the off-season and most shops were closed, the host offered to cook dinner and breakfast for us. He is a delicious cook. He also offers taxi services and was able to take us to Gubeikou train station the next morning for our return trip to Beijing. We are extremely grateful for this wonderful stay in Jinshanling and would gladly return!

GGuest UserLove their home cooked dishes! We rather go back to hotel for meal after Gubei water town. The couple bosses were so sweet to let us indicate spiciness and accommodate our minor diet restriction. They dun have noodles but they used alternative ingredients to make some gourd dish that tasted close to noodles. The rooms were big, in SG standard, one bed was queen size and the other was super single. Their bathroom was newly renovated and love their heater installed at shower cubicle, making it more comfortable to shower in cold weather. The couple bosses provided great tips on local transport to help us get to/fro Jinshanling for sunset and sunrise opportunities. They are situated around 5min drive from Jinshanling ticketing. Love the room doorstep views overlooking the geese and house dog. We will choose this hotel next time!

The location is excellent, just a short walk to the ticket booth. 2. The hostess upgraded us to a deluxe room, which was newly renovated with great facilities, and the environment was very clean and tidy. 3. The hostess's cooking was also delicious and reasonably priced. 4. The owner, hostess, and their son were all warm and hospitable, providing thoughtful service and answering all our questions. Five-star rating!

KKnufbergstravelThe Hotel is located at a busy central road. Lots of shops around and a good popular grocery store. The staff is welcoming and helpful as it can be. 5 stars. The room is small but okay. The bed is comfortable like most chinese beds. The bathroom is super tiny and had some plumbing problems also the grey water from the shower runs across the floor to the sink, bear in bind when you put dowm a towel for your feet. The light in all rooms is very dark and everything in the room was laying under a urine smell caused by the aircon. That's the reason we would not stay here again. The breakfast is great but the room is too small to fit all guests, so it gets super busy. Plus point: you can tale your bicycle to the rooms.

GGuest UserThis place was the best after our long walk along the Great Wall. We started in Gubekiou and walked the wall until Jinshanling. The farmhouse was only about a 20 min walk from the entrance of the Great Wall which we were happy about. As soon as we walked up the owner ran up and welcomed us and showed us to our rooms. Each of our rooms had two small beds and a bathroom w a shower. Great value for your money. The family running it fed us delicious food for breakfast and dinner, were so welcoming and even helped us plan our next day hike. Would stay here again!

GGuest UserThe location is very close to the ticketing office. If you want to visit for sunrise, just tell the staff you need the “two-entry” ticket — it’s the same price. The hike is easy. We went up from 后川口 and came down via 砖垛口 after enjoying the sunset at 西五眼楼. The cable car isn’t necessary. The room was spacious and clean, and the owner was very welcoming and friendly!

Uun_guillouVery friendly youth hostel in the center of Chengde. The location is excellent and you can do almost anything by feet. The bar is a nice touch as they have good beers and I was able to play dice with other guests. The atmosphere was nice and evrybody left before I went to bed at midnight. The staff is great and helpful as they allowed me to change room in order to flee a very rude guest that would listen to videos on his phone without earphones very loudly. I also was able to do my laundry for a cheap price but they could invest in more hangers.
