They also offer a shuttle service to Lijiang, which is really cost-effective and convenient. They pick you up right at the entrance. "The location was super easy to find; just hailed a taxi using the navigation and got there directly. Check-in was smooth. The landlady was a lovely, friendly, and very enthusiastic lady, always serving with a smile. The room had large floor-to-ceiling windows, was very spacious, and offered direct views of Erhai Lake. The smart home features were also very convenient, and the projector had excellent clarity. Both the bathtub and shower had perfectly adjustable water temperatures, making them very comfortable. If you're visiting Dali, staying here is really pleasant. It's right next to Ideal State and also very close to Wenbi Village."

The first floor of the guesthouse is absolutely beautiful! 😍 And the rooftop patio is amazing – you can relax on the swing, gaze at Cangshan Mountain in the distance, and admire the old town. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing! I highly recommend booking here! It's super close to the South Gate of the old town, which is perfect for an evening stroll and experiencing the night market. "First off, the hotel's location is pretty central, roughly equidistant from the Ancient City and Erhai Lake, making it excellent value for money. It's super convenient that you can rent and return electric scooters right outside the hotel entrance. Taxis also drop you off directly at the hotel door. I'd highly recommend the electric scooters – they're powerful and fast, but do be careful! The hotel's interior, especially the garden, is very clean and elegant, and it has a really warm vibe. Secondly, the service here is genuinely outstanding. From the moment we arrived (we took a taxi directly into the underground garage, and since there's no elevator, a hotel staff member immediately appeared to help us with our luggage – super prompt response!). During check-in, they brought us tea and water, then personally escorted us to our room, explaining Dalian's attractions and local delicacies along the way. Their attention to detail was exceptional. Throughout our stay, whenever we went downstairs to the common areas, the owner was incredibly welcoming. We booked rooms with fantastic views multiple times; on clear days, the clouds over Cangshan Mountain are breathtaking. It was a very comfortable stay. You can just go downstairs, chat with the owner, have some tea, or simply relax – the pace is wonderfully slow and enjoyable. If I ever come back to Dalian, this is the only place I'll stay!"

We arrived late, and they upgraded our room directly since the one we originally booked wasn't ideal, which was a fantastic experience. For the Bai tie-dye experience: The instructor was excellent and very kind. Knowing it was our honeymoon trip, they went out of their way to help us complete a very challenging tie-dye piece, which was incredibly meaningful!"

AAnonymous UserThe B&B was super clean and comfortable, the room was spacious, and it felt just like home – so cozy! The owner was also incredibly warm and attentive. They even showed us how to rent an electric scooter to explore the ancient city, which was super convenient. Dali Ancient City is right across the street. We also found lots of local snacks at Sanyue Street. There's even a washing machine available upstairs for laundry. And the best part? We had a view of the snowy mountains from our room. Basically, if you're not planning on going to the eastern route, you don't need to hire a private car; an electric scooter is enough. If you're planning on driving yourself, remember to apply for an international driving permit in advance.

The owner seems to be a local, and since it was my parents' first time in Dali, they gave us tons of really helpful travel tips. My parents and I felt very comfortable and at ease staying here. I highly recommend it to everyone!

GGuest UserThe B&B was spotless and well-maintained with excellent facilities. The environment was beautiful, and the rooftop terrace offered stunning views of the Cangshan sunrise and sunset, overlooking the ancient city – truly delightful. The room was bathed in warm sunlight, and enjoying tea while gazing at the ancient city from the bay window was a real treat. The owners were incredibly kind, warm, and genuine, always ready to help with any request. They gave us practical tips and food recommendations that didn't disappoint. There's also a very friendly dog named Wangcai and two adorable cats. When we left, they even helped us with our checked luggage, showing genuine care for their guests. I'll definitely recommend this place to friends and will choose it again if I ever return. I'm currently in a Lijiang B&B, unable to sleep, and the contrast makes me miss that place even more – it had a special kind of warmth.

Yes, a disadvantage being remote from the city areas (not walkable), but if you want to enjoy the serenity of waking up right by the lake, this is a great choice! I loved how our first-floor room had a view of the lake - very close by! Also, you can see the sunrise from this side of the lake! Very peaceful in the mornings. We coordinated with the guesthouse via Wechat beforehand, and they even helped arrange a complimentary pickup with a driver from the train station (since we were staying 3 nights). Later, we also arranged a full day with the driver to drive down Haidong (east side) from Shuanglang ancient town and southward, which was worth it, since otherwise it'd be hard to get to those locations. Cars cannot come to the guesthouse area, so the guesthouse drove a little cart to pick us and our luggage up; they also helped us when we departed. Didi from this area (from a spot ~100-200m away) takes a bit of time for the drivers to come in, but not too long. The breakfast was lightly spicy mi xian noodles, served by some aunties, with condiments like pickled vegetables, also corn, hard-boiled eggs, and banana available. I would also recommend taking time to bike along the lake - it seems there's an option to rent one for 20RMB somewhere but I couldn't find the location. A more convenient option (good for shorter bike rides) are the many shared bikes that can be scanned along the lake. If you go northward by foot or bike along the lake, there are many other guesthouses and nice cafes (including some very popular, picture-perfect wang hong cafes), along with some green fields that are nice to check out. Behind the guesthouse is a small village area; we walked here and got a late lunch on one of the days, but there doesn't seem to be as many options. Traveled here with my mom, and we were quite satisfied. I feel that relaxing inside the hotel and nearby is already pretty nice. Great stay with helpful staff!

RRubyT.nzsgI booked this place after reading the reviews about the above and beyond service, and the connection that guests were able to make with the owner of the accommodation. When there are hundreds of hotels to choose from, I value getting to know the humans behind a business. Unfortunately during my stay the main owner whom the reviews refer to, was away. The staff that was in place was helpful, but I felt gave me the one simplest solution to any question I had, rather than the best possible solution, or even options, for what I needed help with. I probably had an anomaly of an experience. The room was spacious and fairly clean. There was a bathroom window in the room that had no blinds or curtains, and the courtyard lights would stream into the room past 10pm, which meant that the room was not completely dark. I included a photo - the light is a lot more obvious and pervasive in a dark room. I had to sleep with an eye mask on, which thankfully, I had. I would suggest to the owners to put a curtain or some blinds up in the bathroom window. I would still recommend this hotel for its quiet location and proximity to the ancient city (8-10yuan Didi ride). Hopefully you'll have the lady boss around during your stay.

GGuest UserI booked two nights next to the ancient city of Dali. After staying there for one night, my kids said it was not fun just to walk around. I canceled the reservation at midnight and booked a hotel at Time Inn next to the ancient city. After arriving, I felt that both kids were very satisfied. The courtyard is very beautiful and warm, and the boss sister is very enthusiastic (their family came here from their hometown in Chongqing to play here before, but they couldn't take care of it and so they ended up living here permanently). We originally only booked it for one night, but the kids didn't have enough fun and stayed here for two days in a row. ! The eldest brother likes to eat the dinner cooked by the boss very much, it is delicious! (He had a bit of a problem with his mouth, but he said it tasted delicious. It must be better than what I made😋) About 100 meters away is Erhai Lake. We went cycling as soon as we arrived. I accidentally broke my knee, and the boss bought me iodine and povidone. He took anti-inflammatory ***** and enthusiastically took my two children to play on the beach. I was very touched! On the third day today, after having dinner with my sister's family, we rode the boss's tricycle to go for a walk on the Erhai Lake. Bashi's board! In the future, when we come to Erhai Lake, we will still book at my sister’s house. It’s very comfortable! (The tricycle is owned by the owner, so you don’t need to pay for it.) All kinds of travel ladies will arrange a comfortable one for us. We must give it a big thumbs up 👍

--atahuolan-Had a wonderful week in Dali. The hostel had such a great vibe, and the courtyard was so cozy. There were so many adorable cats – I absolutely loved them! Now I have to head back, and I'm so reluctant to leave. I've practically been crying all day 😭. I also made some friends and created so many wonderful memories... Wandering around Dali with my roommates, and even celebrated a birthday with a foreign friend I met. Saying goodbye was also very emotional 😢. Until we meet again, my friends! I hope we can all live our lives the way we truly love. I'll definitely be back.

There are a lot of food options and convenience stores just right outside the hotel both during the day and at night. The service was inpeccable, with the hotel owner helping to carry my luggage to my room or to the car, or to help me with transport arrangements etc. The room was also clean and cosy, with all the listed amenities. Would recommend for sure!

GGuest UserThe hotel is just 3 km from Dali Railway Station.If you are using the train,this hotel is one of the best options. I booked a room facing the lake. The view is awesome. There is a lift. The room and toilet are clean. There are basic amenities like body shower, toothbrush,hair shampoo,comb, mineral water,kettle and tv provided. I get free breakfast. They serve plain porridge with condiments, boiled egg,steam corn and sweet potatoes,bread and buns,fresh fruits and warm soy milk.The food is yummy and delicious. Didi is available all the time and easy to assess from the hotel.You may also be greeted by fresh fruit sellers outside the hotel.We do buy some fresh grapes. The hotel reception Ms Xiao Yang is very friendly and helpful.She helped to book Didi to Muslim restaurant for us.We also asked her for help to order a packed lunch because it was raining and we couldn't get out. Despite her work shift ending,she still waited for us to make sure we were safely back to the railway station. I hope her boss will recognise the hospitality she showed. I recommend this hotel to tourists. You will not hear the noise outside the hotel during your stay. Hopefully the management can put the hotel name signboard in english so it is easier for tourists to book Didi. Overall I was satisfied with the room and the warm hospitality the hotel provides.
