"I genuinely recommend the Hohhot Railway Hotel! If you're arriving in Hohhot by train, staying here is incredibly convenient. The location is absolutely fantastic. It's just a few minutes' walk from Hohhot Station, there's a bus stop right downstairs, and the subway station is also very close. It's super easy to get to Dazhao Temple, Kuan Alley Food Street, and Princess Mansion Park. No need to rush for an early train, and you save the hassle of taking taxis back and forth. The front desk staff are warm and attentive. Check-in was very quick, and they patiently answered questions about directions and stored our luggage. They even proactively recommended local specialty foods and sightseeing routes, which was a thoughtful touch. They also support check-in with an electronic ID, which is great for travelers who might forget their physical ID. Room cleanliness is excellent; the floor, bathroom, and bedding were all spotless. The hot water was stable and plentiful, the mattress was soft and comfortable, and the soundproofing was effective. Even though it's on a main street, you can't hear the noisy traffic, so you can get a good rest after a long day of travel. The Wi-Fi speed is fast and smooth, perfect for work or streaming videos without lag. They offer a wide variety of room types, including singles, doubles, and family triples, making it suitable for solo travelers or families. The amenities are very practical. They have free parking for guests arriving by car, 24-hour front desk, free luggage storage, a self-service laundry room, and wake-up calls – everything you need. The restaurant on the first floor serves both regular meals and a buffet breakfast, with authentic local Mongolian breakfast options that taste great. Overall, the value for money is outstanding. The price is affordable, and the transportation, cleanliness, and service are all top-notch. If you're coming to Hohhot by train, this is definitely the best choice. I'll stay here again next time!"

"Pros: Great location, with a subway station, supermarket, and fruit stand right downstairs. The room was quite spacious and quiet. The price was very affordable. So, if these two points are important to you, you can overlook the cons. Plus, there's a massage place nearby called 'Yuanqi Tui Tui' that's excellent! My legs were dead from walking, and I went twice. It was so comfortable! The fruit downstairs is delicious and cheap. Large shopping malls are all nearby. Cons: The lobby and rooms are on the same floor, and you can't talk in the common areas after 11 PM. One day, I was talking to newly made friends at a normal volume and was complained about by three people in an 8-bed dorm. The overhead camera directly criticized us. It's not a conventional hostel. If you're looking to socialize and use common spaces, I don't recommend this place. Other minor details also affected the stay, such as no screens in the living room and broken screens in the room. Without a fan or air conditioning, sleeping wasn't very comfortable (of course, this might also be because I'm prone to mosquito bites, and coming from the South to the North, with hot and cold days, I'm not used to it). Also, there are only two showers, and they have electric water heaters. If someone just showered, and you go in right after to wash your hair and body, there won't be enough hot water."

I’d booked 3 standard windowless rooms, but the facility manager proactively upgraded us to windowed rooms on arrival - no extra charge, no request needed. That kind of unprompted service is rare these days. The property itself is well maintained and clearly recently renovated. Rooms are clean, quiet, and the facilities work as they should - no “out of order” signs or maintenance issues, which I’ve come to expect more of at this price point. Staff stood out. Genuinely friendly, responsive, and they’d even arranged small gifts for our kids without us asking. Those little touches matter when you’re traveling with family. For the price, it’s exceptional value. If you’re visiting Hohhot and want a comfortable, hassle-free base without paying for a big chain, Bo Ai Hotel delivers. "My stay here far exceeded expectations, definitely a five-star review! The hotel's location is super convenient, with a convenience store and restaurants right downstairs. As soon as I entered the room, it was clear how meticulously clean everything was – no dust or water stains on the floors or in the bathroom corners. The bedding was fresh and fluffy, the mattress was just right (not too soft, not too hard), and the soundproofing was excellent; I couldn't hear any hallway noise at night. The front desk staff were very pleasant and handled check-in and check-out quickly. Any requests were promptly addressed, and the toiletries, hot water, and internet all worked perfectly. To get such a great accommodation environment at this price is truly rare. It's perfect whether you're traveling for business or leisure.
