"Big thanks to Sister Qiu for always responding to our inquiries and to the boss, Hongbo, for the warm hospitality and care. We had a very comfortable and fun four-day, three-night stay (Dec 27-30) in Snow Valley. The warm beds, hot meals, and enjoying all the entertainment activities in Snow Valley and Snow Village gave our group of four an extraordinary winter experience. At Xiongling in Snow Valley, we tried snowmobiling, snow tubing, skiing, and snow drifting (super thrilling!). **Friendly reminder**: Please wear sunglasses, a mask, and a snow hat. This will help prevent the cold snow from hitting your face when you're snow drifting. The snow hitting your face is incredibly, unbelievably cold! For the Yangcaoshan itinerary, I recommend buying tickets for the horse-drawn sled and taking the snowmobile all the way up the mountain. Hiking would be a very long and time-consuming distance. For the second half, we opted to hike down to Snow Village, and the snow scenery along the way was absolutely spectacular, perfect for photos. You can also buy a small sled to enjoy some exciting mini snow runs on the way down. **The only drawback**: The shower head in the bathroom had low water pressure, so it took a bit longer to shower."

"Brother Bo and his sister are warm and thoughtful. They were very warm and enthusiastic when they contacted us on WeChat before they came. You can ask them anything you want to know. They also help to book the car from Harbin. The inn is fully equipped. There is a small supermarket in the lobby. There are all kinds of things to play, use, eat and drink! The location is convenient, close to the big stage, and you can walk to the main street. You can also eat the sister's free frozen pears and frozen persimmons in the inn, and there are supper at night, which is so comfortable! The pot-wrapped pork here is very delicious, and there is a small barbecue (I experienced it myself, and it was very fragrant). The most important thing is to live in peace. Tell the brother and sister what you want. If you accidentally leave something on the bus, you can get it back for you (I also thank the bus staff here. I got it back on the same day if I fell into the water cup. Thank you ❤️) I will also give suggestions if I don’t understand the itinerary. I can often chat around the table with other guests at night. This experience is very good. I will stay here next time I come to Xuegu 😁"

"I rarely write such detailed reviews, but this trip to Harbin, especially the arrangements in Xuegu, was truly a highlight. This guesthouse we booked was perfect for enjoying the snow. Just 30 meters from the entrance, there's a huge snowy field, and behind it, a mountain for hiking to see rime ice. The guesthouse is newly renovated but has no unpleasant smell. The room was spacious, very clean, and soundproofing was excellent; even with fireworks going off outside, I couldn't hear a thing, so I slept wonderfully for both nights. For such an affordable price, breakfast was included. The sweet potato porridge was delicious and fragrant, and there were also eggs, steamed buns, pickles, melon seeds, sugar tangerines, and frozen pears – all you can eat. Plus, there were free fireworks displays in the evening! The landlady was incredibly warm and helpful, answering all our questions and even providing us with lots of travel tips. Both the adults and kids had a fantastic time during our two days in Xuegu. I hope to come back again and have already recommended it to my friends!"

"This hotel is great, it feels like staying at a relative's house in the countryside. It's a bit far from the shops as it's at the end of the village (but if you want to buy things or eat at restaurants, it's not a long walk). The location is fantastic because you open the door to beautiful mountain views. Right next door there's an activity area with a slider and ice skiing. It's not crowded, so it feels very private. There's also a waterfall near the hotel. You can spend all day at the hotel without getting bored because there are activities to do and beautiful views for photos. The hotel food is delicious, and breakfast is free. It's mainly rice porridge, eggs, pickled vegetables, and plain steamed buns. If you want other things, you can order à la carte. Hot pot is also available but costs extra. You can buy snacks or drinks at the hotel if you don't want to walk to the village shops. Prices are reasonable, and you can pay by QR code or cash. The rooms are in the same building as the lobby, so if guests in the lobby are loud, you'll hear them. I recommend booking a room further from the lobby if you want peace and quiet. The bed is wide and comfortable, not cramped. It's a heated bed. There's a hanger for clothes. There's no air conditioning in the room, but the weather is cold so it's not really needed. The only issue is when you're fully dressed, you might feel hot and uncomfortable, but it's fine once you step out of the room. The bathroom has a wet/dry separation with a curtain. The bathroom floor is a bit slippery, but the hotel provides slippers which help prevent slipping. There's no bidet spray in the bathroom, but the showerhead has a small sprayer that can be used instead. The bathroom has hot water, a heater, and ventilation. Towels are disposable. There's a toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and a hairdryer, but no conditioner. If anything runs out, you can ask the hotel. The owner and staff are very attentive. You can book tickets for mountain activities directly with the accommodation. However, there's no signal on the mountain, so you need to bring cash or exchange money at the hotel. When going to the mountain, the hotel provides a pick-up and drop-off service, and a hotel staff member accompanies you to guide you through all the activities, making sure you have fun, haha! It's very worthwhile. Overall, it's excellent. It might not be a luxury hotel, but everything combined – the location and the beautiful views – is well worth the room price. If I come again, I'll book here."

"Staying in a snow-view room was absolutely stunning! The pictures I've attached are real, and frankly, they don't do it justice – seeing it in person is even more beautiful! The owners were incredibly welcoming and warm. The elder brother (Da Ge) took us to Xiong Ling (Bear Ridge), helped us shoot videos, and created some truly precious memories for us. We genuinely didn't want to leave this place. I carefully selected this guesthouse. I'd read some reviews saying it was quite a distance from the 'Big Stage,' and I was initially worried it might be too remote. But!!! Once we arrived, I absolutely loved this 'remoteness.' The surroundings are filled with beautiful, expansive snowy landscapes, completely free of any commercial feel – this is exactly the Snow Valley I had imagined! In the evening, Da Ge drove us to the Big Stage for free, and that area was indeed quite commercialized! So, I'm glad we chose this place. Right outside the guesthouse (pictures 5-9) are three slides that you can use freely! I compared it with other places, and this one had the most slides right at its doorstep, plus a swing. There's also a huge snowy area in front of the guesthouse. That afternoon, it was just my friend and me playing there, and we had an absolute blast! In the evening, Da Ge taught us how to do 'water splashing into ice.' He showed us hand-by-hand, and if it didn't work the first time, we'd try again. He even provided lighting to make sure we got great photos – it was truly heartwarming 😭 Oh! And the homemade dishes here were all delicious too! The stewed pork with vermicelli was so tasty we had it twice! And the portions were generous. This review might be a bit disorganized, I'm just writing as things come to mind, but it's all from the heart. In short, this guesthouse made our trip to Snow Valley absolutely perfect. We hope to see you again next time, okay? 😭😭😭"

"I highly, highly, highly recommend this guesthouse! We really value cleanliness, and this place absolutely nailed it. There wasn't a single strange smell when we walked in, and the floors were sparkling clean – everything looked super reassuring. The facilities were thoughtfully provided too. I finally got to experience sleeping on a traditional 'kang' (heated bed) from Northeast China, hahaha! I was a bit worried about the cold in the Northeast, but the room temperature was just perfect, very warm. The 24-hour hot water was incredibly convenient; it felt amazing to take a hot shower after being out in the snow. Charging outlets, a hairdryer, all these little essentials were well-stocked and incredibly handy. The service was absolutely outstanding. The owners were genuinely warm and welcoming. They proactively helped us with our luggage when we got out of the car, let us borrow traditional floral cotton coats for free, and even taught us the 'splashing water into ice' trick. When we went to Wusongling (Rime Island), the owner came along, recorded videos for us with their 360 camera, and personally sent them to us. The service was truly superb! Thanks for giving us such a wonderful trip experience in Northeast China. I'll definitely recommend this to all my friends!"

"We stayed at Kuolanting Inn for two nights and had a truly memorable experience. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by three friendly women. Although language was sometimes a barrier, we always felt well taken care of. The hosts patiently used a translator whenever we needed anything, which made communication smooth and reassuring. Mr. Gang was exceptional. Even before our arrival, he provided us with all the information we needed. He managed all our transportation—from Harbin to Snow Village and back to Harbin—and even arranged our transfers between Snow Village and Snow Town seamlessly. During our stay, he joined us in activities and recorded our moments using his 360° camera, which was such a thoughtful and special touch. The lady who cooked for us was lovely, and every meal she prepared was absolutely delicious. We felt full, comfortable, and genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Would I recommend this place? Certainly,yes!"

"The inn is located in the Snow Valley Scenic Area. The rooms are spacious, the characteristic kang is very comfortable, there is a private bathroom, 24-hour hot water, the owner is enthusiastic and will recommend preferential travel guides. I am very satisfied with the stay and the fun"

"No welcome whatsoever. After checking in, I had to drag my own luggage to the room. No one offered to help; the staff just stood there, looking and smiling, without offering any assistance. There were also no activity recommendations. That's enough for me. I stayed here for two consecutive years, but I won't be coming back again. #Villa 4"

"Fortunately, I chose to stay at Ruixue B&B for two nights this time, seizing the tail end of winter and appreciating the culture and scenery of the Snow Valley. First of all, I could feel the enthusiasm and friendliness of the boss lady from the phone call before check-in. She helped me book the bus ticket from Harbin to Xuegu in advance, and arranged the itinerary for Xuegu the next day and the ticket to Yanji on the check-out day. I am dazzled by reading Xiaohongshu, but I don’t have to worry about joining a ”bad” group and ruining my fun, nor do I have to spend extra time buying tickets myself. I can rest assured and let the B&B owner arrange the itinerary. Secondly, when we arrived on the same day, the young lady and her family were also very warm and hospitable. Not only did they give me a warm welcome, they also served me hot tea, which made me feel as if I was home instead of away from home. I could rest comfortably in the homestay, chat with them about everything under the sun, and learn more stories about life in Snow Valley (or just chat about daily life). Although it was our first meeting, I felt like I was happily getting along with friends I had known for years. The homestay room is warmly decorated and matches the photos. In addition to the warm beds, hot water is provided and there is a Dyson hair dryer. There is really nothing to say about the attentiveness of every detail! You don't have to worry about finding food, as it only takes about 5-10 minutes to walk to the main street. You can also choose to order food directly from the B&B. In addition to Northeastern specialties, there are many dishes that are not usually easy to see. The basil roe deer and sauerkraut shreds I tried this time are not only reasonably priced, but also very delicious and large in portion. It is a good choice without having to go out and get cold! As for the arranged Snow Valley entertainment itinerary, there are three projects in total, including soaking in the open-air hot springs in the snow at night (experience the stimulation of alternating hot and cold), Wusong Ridge (watching the beautiful rime and snow scenery on the top of the mountain, playing in the snow, riding a snowmobile, snow rafting, dragon boat, ice skating, etc.), and Yangcao Mountain (following the route crossed by the brave, taking a horse-drawn sleigh and snowmobile from the Snow Valley to the top of Yangcao Mountain). It can fully meet the expectations of southerners coming to the north for ice and snow, and there is no congestion in the snow town. I really thank the boss lady for her hard work again. From my personal experience of frequent travel, her meticulous and considerate service is definitely five-star. Although the drive from big cities (such as Harbin) to the Snow Valley is not short, the beauty of the Snow Valley in winter and the goodness of the Ruixue B&B are definitely worth experiencing in person, and I will definitely visit again if I have the chance!"
