⭐ 5/5 — A Truly Exceptional, Warm-Hearted Stay at Zengcuo’an Village ⭐ I travel often and have experienced many different types of hotels and accommodations over the years. From 25 Nov 2025, I stayed at Hua Cai Xiao Zhu · Florich 民宿 (环岛南路曾厝垵店) for 12 nights, and extended my stay by another 3 nights because it genuinely felt like home. That alone says everything. 😊 From the moment I arrived, the experience was not just comfortable, but deeply warm and reassuring, thanks to the owner and housekeeper who went out of their way to make sure every detail of my stay was taken care of. 🙏 I stayed in the Huacai Balcony Tub Room on the 5th level. I believe this is the only accommodation in Zengcuo'an that has an elevator. The room was very clean, modern, and thoughtfully equipped. The large bathtub and giant HD projector made every evening wonderfully relaxing. The balcony overlooks Zengcuo’an Village and is just 50 metres from the village church. I even enjoyed a beautiful sunrise at around 6:30am right from my room. 🌄 The location is outstanding. It’s about 200 metres from the main entrance of Zengcuo’an Village, surrounded by everything you could possibly need. There are countless eateries nearby, including my personal favourite right in front of the accommodation — 福鼎肉片小吃店, run by the warm and amiable 美金姐, a 56-year-old local lady (highly recommended!). 😋😋 Convenience stores, fashion and accessory shops, souvenir stalls, luggage shops, spas, travel agencies — and even a McDonald’s — are all within easy reach. 👍👍 Several attractions are also within walking distance, including Pearl Public Beach and Music Square. One of the smartest ways to explore Xiamen is the CNY 50 hop-on hop-off sightseeing bus (24 stops), with the bus stop conveniently located right in front of the village on the right side. It’s honestly the most affordable and efficient way to see the city. What truly made this stay exceptional, however, were the people. 👬👭 The owner, 许老板, is incredibly kind, attentive, and genuinely caring. He patiently gave directions, recommended places to visit, pointed out nearby essentials like the bank and pharmacy, and even allowed me to store my luggage while I was away for a few days. When I checked out, I was down with a cold — he not only helped with my luggage, but also personally drove me to the airport, making sure I arrived safely. That level of care is rare. 💯💯💯 The housekeeper, 秀容, is equally wonderful. Always smiling, always attentive, she made sure I was comfortable every single day — from providing extra water, tissues, and towels to quietly checking that everything was in order. Her warmth made the entire stay feel effortless and homely. . One last tip: don’t miss the sunset. Walk across the overhead bridge from the village and enjoy the beach scene between 4:30pm and 6:30pm — it’s absolutely unforgettable.🌻🌷 Overall: highly, highly recommended. I absolutely loved my stay at Yunhai Yuxi Hotel Apartment! The room was spotless, so clean and beautifully maintained. It felt incredibly cozy, with a calm, home-like atmosphere that made it hard to leave. The view from the apartment was stunning day or night, it’s something you’ll always remember. What really made the experience special was the owner and the staff at the reception, so gentle, kind, and genuinely hospitable. From the warm welcome to the small thoughtful gestures throughout our stay, it felt less like checking into a hotel and more like being cared for by friends. And honestly, for the quality, comfort, and experience, the price is far below the value you get here. It’s a hidden gem that deserves more recognition. Highly recommended I’ll definitely stay again! 🌸

Originally, I was greedy for being close to the dental hospital, but I was uncomfortable throughout the stay and would not come again next time. It is an apartment in the rental community. There is a small balcony with one bedroom, one living room, one kitchen and one bathroom. The facilities are complete but we can't use it for a day. There is a side door in the community that is broken, and outsiders can enter and exit at will. Opposite the community is the construction site, and the construction started early in the morning. The next morning, I found that the corridor was full of materials, and I knew that the apartment was still being renovated and it was not completely complete. Check-in needs to be registered at the front desk at the gate of the community, not the same building, if it rains, it is inconvenient. Travelers are required to register and brush their faces according to the homestay system, so it is not a hotel. The basement smells very heavy, my lover can't stand to vomit, and lick the nose throughout. The first time the front desk kindly gave us a room that no one had stayed in, but found that there was no waste cleaning at all. The rooms were gray, the sinks were dirty, and there was oil on the table. Changed to the next room, the health is better, but the house may have just been renovated, there is still a smell, and the bathroom is water, it is a smell. The bathroom wall is not a brick, it is a plastic board, I don't know if the plastic board has a taste. Just added the customer service butler WeChat and sent the license plate, but the next day I went out and found that I didn't record the system. WeChat didn't return, the phone was busy, the car behind was blocked by me, and finally I could return the license plate directly to the garage and wait for the license plate to be recorded. Going back to the room to check out, found that the password lock can not enter, a while invalid can not record or password error, the front desk still insisted on me to enter the old password, but it was useless at all, no one came to help, tossed for ten minutes, and finally sent a new password to successfully return the room.

This hotel is closest to Piano Wharf and not far from Sanqiutian Wharf. It's very close to the shore, yet tucked away in a quiet spot. On the way, you'll pass the Gulangyu Museum. My room was on the first floor and was well-decorated and very clean. Overall, I was very satisfied with my stay.

The room offered excellent value for money, possibly because it was the off-season, and the staff member directly upgraded my room type. It even came with an electric heater, which was especially comfortable given we were in the south. The towels and bath towels were all disposable, which was a nice touch. The best part is that many popular TV shows in the room could be watched for free without needing a subscription! The location is also superb; downstairs, there are plenty of highly-rated local snacks, and it's not far from Xingfu Road. The subway station is also within walking distance. There's an amazing sour bamboo shoot noodle place in a nearby alley! I'll definitely eat there again next time I visit.

Came to Xiamen to see the sea and stayed at this apartment. It was a really heartwarming experience. First off, the hygiene was impeccable, and secondly, the price was very affordable for most people, around a hundred yuan, which is incredible value for money. The provided dryer was particularly practical; it meant I didn't have to carry a bunch of extra clothes while traveling, which was super convenient. Downstairs, there's a shopping area, making it easy to get around. The owner's service was also very warm and appropriate. Overall, a very comfortable experience.

My stay here was excellent! The hotel's location is fantastic, making it easy to get around, and there are plenty of amenities nearby. The room was clean, spacious, and odor-free, with great natural light. The bedding was soft and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and attentive, responding quickly to any requests. The self-service laundry and free parking were a nice touch. The overall environment was quiet with good soundproofing, allowing for a very restful sleep. It's great value for money and a hotel I would highly recommend!

This is an apartment located a 6 min drive to the port to kinmen. The area itself is enclosed in like a yacht club boating area. Depending on the season many things maybe closed but it's good if you want to walk along the pier enjoy nature, have a ferry or plane to catch. I am going to review this as an Airbnb style apartment. Since it is an actual apartment your renting. They were a little confused at check in giving us two rooms and having us find our visa in our passport for them to take the photos. The apartment overall is very good for a short stay with a nice view, great TV and quite a lot of space. My husband's phone was able to connect to the internet and it was very good my phone however wouldn't connect. Typical problem with non Chinese phones. Bathroom is also very updated and nice. The bed was also very nice. So as this is an apartment somethings could be improved for longer stays. 1) while there is a huge fridge they don't provide you a second key so the fridge will actually stay on when you leave. Typically I leave one key in and turn off everything manually but they said not possible. So if your staying for awhile everytime you leave your fridge will go off. 2) While there is a stove which is great there isn't any way to cook no small pot pan plate nothing. Which is strange because why is there a stove then. This is clearly an apartment which could be better supplied like an Airbnb. 3) While there is a washer which is amazing and washing powder which is a huge plus there is no way to dry the clothes. There is no drying rack, no fan and the two windows don't provide enough air for drying. There was only 6 hangers as well. 4) While it was quite clean the cabinets in the kitchen, the insulation inside the fridge were not clean at all. You could tell they had recently mopped and we arrived nearly 8pm. The ceiling in certain areas had visable black mold which could be a bigger problem. The faucet in the bathroom also was very loose. However the apartment is great and could be able to accommodate longer stays if these areas are fixed. Modeling more of an Airbnb type stay. As someone who's lived in Airbnb the past 7 years I'm just trying to help. So it you are going for a night or a week and these things don't bother you I can recommend it. For me it was great for short stay.

It's just so-so. Aside from the good location, everything else is pretty bad. They charge an extra 15 yuan to use the air conditioning, and honestly, after paying over a hundred for the room, who'd want to stay here? It's only cheap. Even with the windows closed, there were tons of mosquitoes, and the room always had a strange, unpleasant smell (and no, it wasn't my shoes, I was wearing sandals without socks and noticed it as soon as I walked in). They also didn't let us use the washing machine.

Really grateful for the free airport pickup. Added their number to my wechat and called them using wechat. Was given directions where to be picked up and asked to send a picture of how I look like. waited at the pickup point and even message them at exactly which location I'm at. Received a call later to ask where am I and also messaged me the car plate number. As the pickup point only allow 8mins of wait time, the driver was pretty pissed when I arrived. I mean, couldn't you have sent a picture of the car and the car plate number earlier? Driver was smoking all the way while driving and I'm unfortunately seated behind him, breathing in all his smelly smoke. He opened his window but that didn't help, the wind has kept blowing the smoke into my face. Luckily it was a short drive. I feel that the hotel should educate their drivers not to smoke while driving. This is so selfish. I got upgraded to a bigger room because they wanted me to give a good review. My room has a big window with the street view. Room was clean and nice. Slippers given. Toilet was badly designed. the shower head faces the toilet bowl and the sewage system is not good. After showering, the toilet flooded. I only realised the next morning that there are some buttons that you can switch on for ventilation in the toilet. The toilet was still flooded in the morning but I think if I have known about the buttons earlier, it would have been dried in the morning. The buttons are in chinese characters. Ask for help to decipher them. The room has a projector but nothing was watchable. You need to have accounts to sign on to their various content provider. The hotel is near a small street market with awesome and cheap food. There was also some supermarkets opened late into the night. Cannot expect much from sound proofing as dead into the night, you can still hear food delivery rider delivering their food to occupants. The driver in the morning did not smoke but when I told him that nobody asked me which terminal I'm going to, he insisted that it is impossible for them not to ask. I also cannot be bothered to argue. Why would I sabotage my own departure plans? Suggest that before the driver drives off, stressed which terminal you are going to. Terminal 3 for International flights, Terminal 4 for domestic flights. And they are not close to one another apparently. Otherwise, the bed was quite comfy. The socket above the bedside table is almost falling off the wall.
