"We arrived at the hotel very late and it was very inconvenient to pick up our suitcases. Although the boss helped us with our luggage when we left, the quality of the tissues was very poor. Half an hour after checking in, the air conditioner plug suddenly became loose and broke. When we changed rooms in the middle of the night, the boss gave us another one. Bigger room, but the toilet has no door... it's very inconvenient to go to the toilet, and it's not cleaned when you come back during the day"

"I couldn’t say enough about how good my stay in Xidi was. The hostel has such a special atmosphere that you can’t help but relax. It’s just a few minutes’ walk from the center of town, and the girls from the staff are so nice and attentive. I didn’t want to leave! Besides the lovely place where the hostel is located, the touristic part of Xidi is just amazing—it feels like the whole area is one huge artwork - just go and see it for yourself! Notes: The place isn’t difficult to find if you have a map on your phone, but be careful with the ditches if you arrive at night: although they’re illuminated, they have no railings. The 10-bed room doesn’t have a toilet, only a latrine. Every tourist must pay a fee of 52 yuan to enter the town, regardless of where they are staying."

GGuest UserThe courtyard is obviously well designed, with winding paths and everything you need. The room is decorated with great texture, it seems very spacious when you move in, and the bedding and bathroom are also very clean. The scenery is beautiful when sitting in the courtyard. There are rape flowers in front of you and a stream flowing in front of the door. Many students sketching are also here, which has become another scenic spot. It is very convenient to go to other parts of the village from here, as well as to climb to the top to see the whole picture of the village. The key is that the proprietress is warm and cheerful, and some of her cooking skills are great. I had the most sumptuous and delicious breakfast here. It felt like visiting relatives and I was reluctant to leave. If vacations could be unlimited, I really want to stay here for a few months, basking in the sun, petting cats, tasting the boss lady's cooking, digging wild vegetables and bamboo shoots. It would be so beautiful.

LlilyThis is a duplex apartment overlooking Nanhu Lake in the scenic area, very close to the entrance. The second-floor window offers a view of Nanhu Lake. Picture five shows the view in the early morning. Parking is difficult during holidays, but the young man helped me find a spot. The best time to take photos in Hongcun is in the early morning when there are fewer people; the photos turn out beautifully, no matter how casually you take them. No wonder it's so famous.

MMLFooEverything is excellent. The owner came out to the entrance and drove our luggage to the hotel. He did the same when we left. So our big luggage bags weren’t a problem. We had a very comfortable stay for 3 nights. They have a washer for laundry which suits our needs. The owner also has a very quaint cafe just around the corner. We had a great time chilling there for 2 afternoons and even had dinner there. Highly recommended!

GGuest UserI loved this inn and the warm welcome I received from the owner and his family. The inn is a historic Huizhou style house with a quiet courtyard; Bishan is a great village with a mix of traditional livelihoods and new cultural activity - I really want to come again in the warmer weather. Transport is spotty but the owners can help arrange cars as needed. Note to foreign friends: No English is spoken but the hosts are very welcoming and you could get along just fine with a translation app. Come visit and experience the real Anhui!

Although the soundproofing of the century-old wooden house is not good, everyone consciously goes to bed before ten o'clock. The village is very quiet. It was a two-day rest after coming down from Huangshan Mountain. It's great! Super five-star praise!

They helped with the way into and out of the scenic area and even checked in my luggage. They also gave me a souvenir before I checked out.

The room was exquisitely decorated, every detail revealing the owner's thoughtfulness and taste. The bed was soft and comfortable, and after a good night's sleep, I felt completely refreshed. I was also very satisfied with the host's service; they were welcoming but not overly intrusive, and their recommendations for nearby restaurants were excellent. I'll definitely stay here again! XxoolisaBeautiful house located in a quiet part of the ancient village. As you’ll read in many reviews, the host provides excellent service, and I felt like I was meeting a friend. He took me to and from the gate of the village to the house and helped me carry my luggage. He also helped me arrange a ride back to the train station - there were some issues and he took the time to sort it out with the drivers on my behalf, which was above and beyond. The host and I talked about traveling and I could tell he was someone who was genuine and wanted to be as helpful as possible. The room is beautiful with huge windows and lots of thoughtful details. I had wonderful rests here while it was too hot outside. From the window you can see some rooftops of Hui architecture. The village isn’t big, so all the sights are nearby

YYipianleierThe owner is really nice, warm and easy to talk to. You can tell he's dedicated to running the business. I'm giving this rating purely to encourage him to improve some of the issues and grow the business. The shop's ambiance is actually quite stunning, brimming with Anhui style, antique charm, and a captivating atmosphere. But I was completely surprised to see a major issue with the basic drainage system. In the shower, within seconds, water began to accumulate like a fish pond beneath my feet. Even the washbasin was severely clogged, overflowing quickly. At first, I thought it was a common problem with old Anhui-style houses, but when I asked my parents where they live, they said they had no such issue. It seems like encountering this kind of problem is really just a matter of luck; if you're unlucky, you'll just have to deal with a terrible water blockage. I hope the owner can resolve this issue quickly so everyone can enjoy a comfortable stay.
