"The wind chime jingled as I pushed open the door. The front desk attendant looked up, smiled, and said, ”You're here.” It was as if she knew I was coming and had been waiting for me for a long time. Soft music played in the lobby. Someone was reading by the window, another person was napping with the sunlight warming their back. **Cleanliness:** The bedsheets smelled of laundry detergent, not that stuffy disinfectant smell. The corners were swept impeccably clean, and there were no water stains in the bathroom. I'm a bit of a clean freak, but I slept soundly here. When I came back at night, the auntie had already mopped the common areas again, the floor still slightly glistening. **Location:** It's in Liuxing Street, so Apple Alley is just a short walk away. To the left, there's Grandpa's baked buns, to the right, Grandma's ice cream, and across the street, Uncle's拌面 (mixed noodles) – all just a few steps away. In the evening, I took a stroll to the Alexander Accordion Museum, and on the way back, I bought two freshly baked, still-warm breads from the bakery. If I wanted coffee, it was convenient too, just around the corner. **Service:** The front desk attendant poured me a hot tea and said, ”Take a rest first.” Knowing I was traveling alone, she even asked if I wanted to join them for a trip to the surroundings tomorrow. In the evening, a few guys were sharing a meal in the courtyard and invited me to eat with them, without even asking if I'd pay. This kind of natural warmth really touched my heart. **Facilities:** The bed was large, and with the curtain pulled, it became my own little world. Each bed had an outlet and a lamp, so no fighting over them. The hot water was plentiful and had good pressure. The restaurant had a microwave and a water dispenser, so hot water was always available – so important for our Chinese stomachs! As for the atmosphere, everyone sat in the courtyard in the evening. Someone played the guitar, someone drank Wusu beer, and someone who had just returned from Mount Kailash shared stories of the snow and stars on the mountain. I just listened nearby, feeling that this was probably the meaning of travel – meeting people, hearing stories, and then continuing on your own path. As I left, the wind chime jingled again. The front desk attendant was busy, but still looked up and said, ”Travel safely.” As if she knew I'd be back."

"I stayed for 8 nights and absolutely loved every moment of it. The room was really clean and comfortable. It had a lot of space (even for me to do yoga in the room), and it had a lot of sunlight. The amount of sunlight was really important for me because I was working for about half the time there and spent a lot of time in the room. The desk made it very convenient for working. Now for the much more important part - the host was amazing. I was sad to leave because we formed a bond in the short time that we were there. She took us to the local bazaars, treated us to local delicacies, and showed us so much generosity and warmth. The food at the guesthouse is also amazing. I had many meals there because I was busy working and found all the dishes to be delicious and the portions very generous. I would come back to Yining just for this. I would be lucky if I had the opportunity to stay here again."

"This hostel in Yining is a hidden gem! With a balcony room and heartwarming service, I could stay for ten days and still not want to leave. I stayed at Backpackers 10 Years Hostel, right by Yining Railway Station, for almost ten days, and the experience was incredible! I have to recommend my favorite room – it comes with a small balcony. In the mornings, I'd curl up in a chair, soaking in the sun and reading. In the afternoons, I'd simply relax in the warm light. It was so gentle and therapeutic, making for an incredibly relaxing stay. The hostel environment also exceeded my expectations: the rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. The ground floor common area was fully equipped with billiards, table tennis, and a reading nook, making leisure and entertainment super convenient. What touched me the most was the human touch! I sprained my ankle hiking (unrelated to the hostel), and the front desk, owner, and customer service staff were all incredibly kind. They actively checked in on me, brought hot water, and even gave me safflower oil. The hostel's dog also quietly stayed by my side. The kindness I received in a foreign land was truly moving. The location is close to the train station, making travel convenient. The cleanliness, service, and value for money were all top-notch. This place doesn't feel like a hostel; it's more like a warm little harbor. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Yining! Highly recommended! ❤️"

"I often see some special offers for accommodation in Xinjiang on the Internet, and I thought that prices here were not expensive. But when I came here, I found that the special offers were either very poor and old, or very remote and inconvenient. This is the one with the best value for money that I could find after trying my best. Although I know that more expensive hotels are more cost-effective, I still want to save some money and visit more places. The front desk has a very good attitude. People sleep there and are at the front desk almost 24 hours a day. My large single room has a 1.2-meter bed, private bathroom, air conditioning, password lock, and water heater, all of which are good. Of course, I didn't use the air conditioning. It costs 77 yuan a night and is on the third floor. The soundproofing is also good, and I can store my luggage for free. The only drawback of my room is that there is a problem with the light. It turns off and on by itself for no reason. I have already reported this to the boss. His light switch is different from others and you won't notice it unless you stay here for a long time. There are rooms on the -1 floor here, and living on the 3rd floor is more reassuring. At night, the lights kept turning on and off by themselves. I didn't feel scared, but just a little annoyed. BBulaitengbahekalaThis was the second unique B&B I stayed at on our trip! I initially thought it was Uyghur-style, but the owner said it was Russian-style. It was so beautiful! It was no wonder I booked this B&B a month in advance. 😎 We were at Sayram Lake the day we went, and we arrived at the hotel at 12:00 PM, and the owner was still waiting for us. I was so touched. 😭 The B&B is located in the Kazanqi Folk Tourism Area, about a 5-kilometer drive from Liuxing Street. I had a wonderful birthday with everyone at the B&B that night, drinking wine and chatting together. I didn't want to go home at all. I really liked the cherry drink that the owner made herself. It was just like the taste of childhood, so delicious. There's also a different breakfast every morning. My favorite is the Madeleine jam with bread. One is enough to fill me up! Happiness is always short-lived. I look forward to seeing you next time. 😊

The room is clean and tidy, with complete facilities. The owner is warm and hospitable and helps plan travel routes. Having stayed in so many B&Bs, this one really stands out! Good location, close to surrounding attractions and food. The room is decorated in style and full of details, and you can see that a lot of thought has gone into it. The service is impeccable, the staff are always available and responsive. It was a very comfortable stay, highly recommended!

GGuest UserIt was my second time staying here, the place is beautiful and I met so many nice girls who I ended up hanging out with while I was in Yining. The Kazanqi area around the hostel is lovely, walking distance from great restaurants and shops. I was able to put things I the fridge and freezer and use the kitchen at the hostel. The courtyard and balcony are such nice places to sit and do work or eat there was also a puppy which was so cute!! The rooms were clean and comfortable, with cute decor and the toilet/shower room in the room is modern and clean. I definitely recommend!

SSam-ThaddeusWe had a nice stay here which we used as a base to explore sayram lake. The rooms are clean, large and comfortable and the lady owner who comes in at noon and works till morning is nice and helped the 2 of us book the transport by bus to sayram lake. It’s a comfortable walk by turning right and then right to Liu Xing street - along the way you have a nice cafe/bakery which operates till 11pm. The lady owners parents also help us to fix the alipay transport pass for taking a bus at 1 yuan for each trip. Apologies as I didn’t take any photos of the room.

MMattGuzmanThe best hostel in the city, i did 2 hostel in this city and this one is by far the best. The room is so nice with Xinjiang carpet i love it so much. The yard is big with everything as washing machine or kitchen, and a place for rest with a cute cat and a mulberry tree with free natural mulberry. The location is so nice close to the best place in Yining. All the girls at the reception are so nice and welcoming with a very good english. When i will comeback in the city i will book again this place without hesitation. I hope to see foreigners there in the future.

PPupuzhangThe owner was incredibly kind, almost to the point of being embarrassing. They helped us store our luggage in advance and even carried our suitcases upstairs during check-in. When we came back in the middle of the night, they even let us use a different room to shower, and they didn't treat us any differently just because we booked a special offer room. Their hospitality really made me feel much more positive about this city. The inn is conveniently located not far from the entrance of Liuxing Street and also close to the bus station, making it very easy for transportation and transfers. This was especially convenient after a long day of sightseeing; being able to walk straight upstairs after strolling down Liuxing Street, even past midnight, was a huge plus. The hallway and room have a nostalgic feel, reminding me of guesthouses from my childhood. The air conditioning and walls, however, are very new. I could tell they take hygiene seriously from the bathroom; the cleaning supplies were very comprehensive.
