"I visited with my 18-month-old baby. I chose this room because it didn't have a bed guard, which was perfect. The location was excellent, and the view was fantastic. Being right in front of Sokcho Beach, we could easily go for walks, and parking wasn't bad either – it was all wonderful. We were able to lay down a mat in the living room and sleep with the baby. There was plenty of bedding, which I was satisfied with. I didn't have high expectations for cleanliness, so it was decent. The ocean-view side elevator was also not bad as it was mostly used by fewer people. I'd probably go again if I get the chance."

"Only issue was faint odor of cigarettes- 3rd hand smoke. Room did have vent fan over the bed.. I've never seen that before. It did seem to help. ”Non-smoking room”. Other than that, the bathroom was enormous and brand new. Bed was comfortable. Room was extremely romantic motif. Staff is extremely friendly. A/C worked good. Potable water dispenser in lobby. Decent location. Without the slight cigarette odor it is a great place."

We spent two wonderful days here and were absolutely thrilled. Check-in was completely contactless, which was incredibly convenient: we registered immediately via phone, and all the necessary information and access were promptly provided. This was a huge plus, making the check-in process as comfortable and modern as possible. The room itself was simply beautiful—clean, modern, cozy, with a comfortable bed and everything needed for a relaxing stay. When we booked, we specifically requested a room with a nice view, and they truly delivered a room with a stunning view that exceeded all expectations. Our stay here was one of the most comfortable and enjoyable of our entire trip. The sunsets we watched from the window were simply incredible—we took countless beautiful photos for our social media. "I booked this hotel because I wanted a room with an ocean and sunrise view, and it was absolutely wonderful. Even better, I arrived a bit late, past the check-in deadline, after getting off work, but the owner kindly welcomed me, which I really appreciated. They even upgraded my room from what I originally booked, making it so much easier to accommodate my parents. Thank you again for that! If I ever visit Sokcho again, I'll definitely stay here! "I spent three nights at this hotel located not far from the entrance to Seorak National Park. So let's start at the beginning by stating that this was one of the main criteria that guided my choice and helped me narrow down the wide range of hotels in Sokcho. I wanted to be within easy reach of the reserve since I'm a hiking enthusiast. A word of advice, though: take a taxi, which will likely drop you off below the parking area. This way, you'll be sure to arrive well warmed up before your trekking session. But I'm getting further away from the hotel... A second element, logically related to the above, if, like me, you were looking for a quiet and peaceful place to rest after your workout, you've found it. A true haven of peace... perfect for a good night's sleep, except in exceptional circumstances, since the first night I had a serious snorer, and since the walls aren't very thick... I won't draw you a picture. Breakfast is available by informing reception the night before. For the price, don't miss out. Room cleaning is also available, just request it in the lobby. The rooms are remarkably clean, although not very spacious. But the hotel offers almost all the usual amenities one would expect in addition to the room amenities: toiletries, free 5G internet access, bottled water, French coffee pods (be careful, there's a catch) and green tea... Unfortunately, when it came time to extend my stay by one night to rest in the dry - the weather is very bad in Korea right now - reservations were fully booked due to Chuseok - Korean Thanksgiving - a major family reunion event where ancestors are honored... needless to say, this is also the most difficult time to find accommodation and, of course, the most expensive for us as guests. Prices easily double. Keep this in mind if you come to Korea, and especially if possible, book in advance during the fall holidays. Unfortunately, shortly after booking elsewhere, a room became available... And where I landed, I quickly found myself in a completely different world, with a clientele and atmosphere that were the opposite of what I had so enjoyed at the Amaranth Hotel. So British in a very nice way...isn't it?"

"I have stayed here before to hike Seoraksan. This time, I had a nicer room; however, because it is near the mountains and older, there was a huge house centipede on the ceiling when I got there. Luckily, the bug spray they had worked on it. Other than that, there were some small stains on the bedding, but everything else was clean. The bed was comfortable, and the location is about 55 minutes walking distance from Seoraksan National Park. It's only about an 8 minute taxi drive there if not too much traffic. There is a beautiful river/stream nearby. This place is also only about a 16 minute drive from the Sokcho Express Bus Terminal. Obviously, I like this place enough to stay again. Breakfast was toast, cereal, and you could make eggs/a toast sandwich I believe."

"The service was excellent!! The pictures matched the actual hotel perfectly! The location was also very convenient, right next to the express bus station, with several convenience stores and restaurants nearby! Many Koreans also stayed in this building (although I'm not sure if it's the same hotel). I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Sokcho!! There was a small hiccup though... The hotel required check-in before 9 PM, but Ctrip didn't mention that, saying it was 24-hour check-in. I landed after 8 PM that day, and the journey from Incheon to Sokcho takes almost 3 hours. The hotel kept trying to contact me to explain the situation; when I received their message, I thought I was going to have to sleep on the streets. Later, I called the hotel directly to communicate, and finally checked in online via KakaoTalk. During this time, I contacted Ctrip for feedback, and they told me there was a language barrier and it would take an hour to get a response... I'm so impressed! I even managed to get through to them myself by phone 😅 The shop owner was incredibly patient, staying in touch and communicating constantly. Even when I accidentally checked out at 11 PM and needed to contact them urgently, they answered the phone quickly and without the slightest impatience ㅜㅜ They were truly amazing!!"

"The Location and view were great. We had a nice sea view and we were close to the middle of Sokcho. The room itself could use some improvements tho. Some things were old and in need for readjustments. The bathroom could be cleaner and it could use a little more decoration, but for a night or two it is alright. We mainly stayed for the view and location"

"The hostel was really nice from the exterior to the room. I felt the courtesy of each prop and I was ready for the perfect guest. The second floor lounge had a disposable plate of ice water that could be used by itself, so it was good to use it in the room. There seemed to be no breakfast in the room details, but the first floor and the per cafe were allowed to operate together. There was a sandwich coffee t coupon as many as the number of people, and I ate it using the coupon in the morning, and it was so delicious. The location was also in the center of Saemaeul-gil, so it was close to the beach and there were shops in front of it. It was a good experience that was hard to experience in other words Ah, mobile keys were used well through the , but my friend's phone was not certified. The staff didn't update it a few times, so I used it as a card key reserve. Highly recommended"
