"Returned to this hotel. My flight was at 5:45 PM, and I arrived in Vientiane from Pakse at 8 AM. So, I booked a room again to rest, store my luggage, do laundry, and shower. Since I hadn't showered for two nights on the bus, it was a huge relief when the hotel immediately washed my clothes. By the time I checked out at 2 PM, everything was dry. I called the hotel and spoke to someone at the front desk who spoke Chinese. I was able to arrange an early check-in for the morning (my flight was the night before) and a late check-out until 2 PM, for which I paid the standard fee. When I was checking in, the other staff members didn't seem to understand and kept searching for today's booking, saying they couldn't find it, and initially refused the late check-out. Luckily, a Chinese guest I had met during my previous stay was still there and helped communicate in English. They eventually allowed me to check in but still insisted on a 12 PM check-out. However, I didn't actually use the bed, so they didn't need to clean it; I just took a shower and sat in the lobby until 2 PM. This hotel offers great value for money, and the food is delicious. I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Vientiane."

"The hotel is very old, with antique parquet floors, but you have to be aware of that when booking at a budget price. The shower with hot water is excellent, the bed is comfortable, but after sleeping, everything itched, as if there were miniature bedbugs, but we couldn't see anything. The hotel management should treat the rooms for bedbugs and other insects, but overall, it's livable. We stayed for two nights, and it's generally tolerable, especially when you're not in the room."

"The hostel was super clean, incredibly affordable, and the staff were so friendly. They even let me check out more than an hour late without charging any extra fee, which I really appreciated. For such a budget-friendly price, they even provide a hairdryer. Honestly, one of the best places I’ve stayed. Highly recommended!"

"It's run by a relative from Hunan province. The owner is very welcoming and the location is great, with convenient transportation and a street full of food. He even helped another traveler arrange a car early in the morning. The room pictures are accurate, but the room is about 12 square meters, not 20. The window faces the hallway, so it's a bit noisy. Overall, it's quite good."

"Close to the city center and facing the cultural center, it is advantageous for beginners who are not familiar with geography. The hostel owner is fluent in English, but the staff speaks little English. Everyone in Laos is very friendly. One downside is that the dust inside the room is so heavy that it is dirty enough to take off your shoes, probably because it is under construction. Even after the construction, if the price is the same, it is a hostel that I want to use for my next visit."

"A cheap stay, good for our one night only. Room had no natural light and the lights flickered. Bathrooms were fine and mostly tidy, shared with everyone else. No shampoo or body wash in shower and no towel provided. Breakfast was fine, bread and some potatoes with egg. Super central to the night market and close enough to the Mekong. Good stay for the one night only."

"Not located in the city centre but convenient enough to walk to. However, you get the space in exchange, which I prefer. The bed was comfortable and its curtain provided privacy. The staff were nice warm and courteous. Wifi worked well. Water dispenser was available. I highly recommend Venn Hostel."

"We stayed for four nights. You can get to Hola from the airport by taxi or bus. As expected from reviews, the owner was very kind and treated us to food and drinks. (Just be careful not to drink too much! 🍺⚠️) The people are so friendly! Be careful, as toilet paper is sometimes available in the bathroom and sometimes not. The shower water pressure and temperature were fine. There is a place to hang out your laundry on the second floor! The air conditioning is turned off periodically because it gets cold. They sell bus tickets to destinations like Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang, so it's easy to get around outside of Vientiane! I took a bus to Nong Khai in Thailand from the nearby bus center and crossed the Lao-Thai Friendship Bridge for a day trip to Thailand! 🇱🇦×🇹🇭"
