"We loved that the place is right in the center of Coron, super convenient for walking around to restaurants and souvenir shops. We also availed their Super Ultimate Tour, which we really enjoyed! There’s a convenience store right beside the property, which was great for grabbing food and water. The Wi-Fi connection was very reliable, we were able to work at night and still go on a tour in the morning without any issues haha. The room is very spacious, clean, and comfortable. Overall, a great stay and we would definitely recommend this place!"

"I really recommend this hotel, we stayed 5days, near to the foodstalls and all, they also have anything you need, from hot and cold shower, ice-cold airconditioning, make-up room service and pickup and dropoff to and from busuanga airport with a fee. They also have in-house tours which are partnered with JY Travel and Tours, they will pick and drop you at the hotel for free if you avail to them. Overall, our stay is very peaceful and smooth. Will definitely book this hotel next time."

"The hotel is just a little difficult to find, when I saw the reception I was worried because the place is under renovation, but as soon as I saw the rooms I loved them. Extremely clean environment, well located, on the main street, amenities, and very friendly staff, but the friendliest employee was a little dog who always greeted us with joy every day, he made my trip and my stay much happier ❤️"

"If you are looking for a cost-efficient place to stay in Coron, Coron Visitors Hotel is highly recommended. Out from the busy town center but it’s only 10 minutes walk . Rooms are clean and comfortable and WiFi is reliable. The staff are very friendly and helpful at all times. They will help with everything you need during your stay from transport, tours, laundry and cooking service. Coffee, tea and water is free."

"Great location and good view from the pool/restaurant area. But, the bright blue paint in the pool stained my skin and ruined my swimsuit. The wifi did not work in my room at all. There was a window in my room but it had been covered up so I couldn’t see out of it. However, it let light in and there was a bright light right outside the window making it difficult to sleep. If I had known there wouldn’t be a proper window I definitely would have booked somewhere else."

"Upon arrival, we found out that the Ricardo Hotel was fully booked, so we had to stay in a half-empty building next door. Overall, the room wasn't bad. It had a balcony and hot water. However, there was no shower kit provided. The room description mentioned a hairdryer, but there wasn't one at all. The sink drained very slowly! On our last day, there was no water in the toilet. Tom, a staff member, was very helpful and tried his best to assist us with everything we asked for. Big thanks to him 🙏. And that rooster crowing at midnight – that's a special kind of crazy! 😂 I think he's ready for the soup pot! 🙈 The hotel's location isn't ideal, but there's a 24-hour McDonald's nearby. Getting from the hotel to the town center and the pier (where boats depart for tours) costs 50-60 Philippine pesos for two people on a tricycle. The hotel staff booked a tricycle transfer for us to the pier in the morning, for our boat to El Nido. However, the driver quoted an excessively high price, comparable to what we paid for a minivan from the airport. Considering it's not a long ride at all, it was quite unpleasant. All in all, it's livable, especially considering the cost. We booked our stay not long before check-in, so we didn't have many other options."

"I went on a 13-day trip around Palawan and Coron was my first stop from Cebu. In Coron, I stayed in Dayon Hostel. I was alone for the duration of my three-night stay in the six-bed female dorm. You can choose to lock the door at night for security. I made sure that I turned off the AC every time I went out. The restrooms are clean especially the toilets although the shower rooms need to be upgraded as some showerheads do not function that well. It will also be nice if they do a thorough cleaning of the shower rooms and the sinks as they looked dirty and unkempt. There is a restaurant on the rooftop but the options are limited. If you exit through the back, it leads you the main road where you will find a wonderful cafe that serves good sausage meals. There are also several local options available if you want affordable options. The price I paid was worth the quality of the stay. The hostel is known by tour operators and guides and so it was not a challenge when it was time for pick-up and drop off. I loved the staff especially when I had to leave early in the morning to head to the port for my trip to El Nido. They arranged my transportation and made sure that I left the hostel on time. Will I go back? Maybe not and it's not because I don't like it. It's just that I felt that my next stay should be in a private room for another worthwhile experience in Coron. But for those solo travelers on a budget, Dayon Hostel is your best bet in Coron in as far as affordable sleeping option is concerned."

"A great hotel for your money. If you are a budget traveler and have come literally for a couple of three days, you can accommodate. The only substantial minus is the condition of the air conditioners. They are very noisy. And there is no way to set up the mode - either to turn on or to turn off. So it was always either hot or cold. But we left the door open for the night and turned off the air conditioner and everything was okay"

Downside had front facing room which meant a little noisy.  Thought it was expensive for really basic room with no tea/coffee facilities poor bathroom..but it was survivable.  Staff friendly ..wouldn’t choose to stay again but on the whole survivable"

VVictoria&JessiMy overall experience is good! I'm the type of person who prefers active travelling, so the hotel is needed literally just for sleep, shower and storing stuff. My requirements for the hotel were good proximity to the city center and nice room with hot shower. Well, the location is truly good, it's a bit on the hill so to get to the city center you just need to come down. In the same building there is a great cafe DAYO who offer 10% discount per day for the Oceana Bay hotel's guests. During our trip to Philippines, Coron was the last destination and the 4th hotel we stayed at, and that was the only one with some room facilities issues. When we checked-in it turned out there is no water in the shower, the staff truly tried to be helpful, the receptionist girl offered us to stay in another upgraded room before the problem will be solved. The thing is when one day later we had to return to the room the problem with the water wasn't solved, we had to contact staff all the time which for sure was absolutely inconvenient, especially when water could be cut off during taking shower. At that point nobody cared already, there were no offers to change the room or to offer us a discount. The siphon from the sink was leaking, so every time you wash your hands, the bathroom floor is immediately in water. The AC is truly loud, but this is absolutely normal for Philippines, as well as the absence of hair dryer. Nice thing that the hotel unlimitedly provides drinking water in the hall. The hotel also offers tours, bike rent, transfer to the airport, but I'd suggest to check it out in the city first, we've found more convenient and better price offers there.

TThatgurlThe location was nice, not too noisy but still very close to the center. People at reception are very nice and helpful. They can help you book different things such as ferry tickets, transportation and activities. Bathroom was not super clean and some pipes was leaking. They provide one towel and there is a tube of shampoo in the bathroom if you don’t have anything it’s helpful. There is bathroom and toilet in your room but also some in common area if needed. The room was ok, there is curtains to protect from light and people passing. It’s also quite easy to go on the upper bed. AC is not too strong and you can ask reception to regulate. Globally, it’s a good hostel and for the price it really worth it.

MmischiefSai AestravThe Casa's location is just up ahead from the Coron main road which you can take tricycle to go anywhere in the Coron Town Proper, it is also near the St. Agustin Church, and near to BPI, Andoks, Pacifico, Maria L's Cake House and Café. The Casa is basically and technically near to popular places, you only need to walk down to the Coron main road and grab a tricycle and jist tell the driver the place you want to go. The room I was in were good to sleep in, the aircondition works, I basically turned off the AC when the room cool enough then open the electric fan. You can use their kitchen which I discovered late but it's fine since I always out touring, I just wish that the care taker orient me ahead on what can I access or use. I spoke to the owner ober the phone, he is not here in the Casa but still helped me to be picked up from and to the airport and the Casa. There are no staff to fully accomodate you since this is not a hotel but more like a house where you rent room to stay in to sleep and bathe, but you can ask people who were staying here probably the care taker of the house to ask for assistance. The place were not yet known to all because during my stay here and I had a booked tour the van couldn't find the Casa, probably it has no visible sign that the driver or the guide could see. There's a sign outside the gate but it needed more visibility and a repaint so that everyone know what is this place and its location. The place cannot be seen in Google Maps since it was not yet updated to recent view so even if you virtually travel the streets, the area where this place is, is inaccessible on the map. So far a good place to stay in to relax after a long day of tour activities and probably one of the cheapest.

GGuest UserGreat location - short walking distance to many restaurants, bars, coffee shops, ATM/banks, harbour for island hopping, tour agencies, market, etc. The staff are helpful, welcoming and accommodating. They serve a decent Filipino buffet breakfast (6:30-9:00am) that will surely fill you up for your adventures. This hotel has an elevator, which is convenient. They offer a safe for your valuables at the reception (not in the rooms), and they keep them safely. The only downside is the WiFi is only available in the lobby and dining area and not in the rooms, but this wasn’t a problem for us. One problem for us is the smell from the pipes in the bathroom (sometimes), but the overall cleanliness is good. I would go back and stay in this property again. FYI, we stayed in Room SK, which was quite big with a balcony (great for hanging your wet stuff from island hopping - ask for a portable stand hanger).

TTibayshinWe enjoyed their restaurant coz the staff was kind, generous, and helpful. The food was delicious, despite sisig was costly mischiefed (it was more expensive than in menu prices), it has a free videoki and disco, and water. We had plenty fun dancing at the disco and having fun with the other local people. The music was awesome and lovely. There most lovely thing is there is security (at both restaurants and hotel) that guards and guides. The room we had was awful. There was no soap, no tissue, neither shampoo, a miserable room with cockroaches and ants, but we checked out earlier by mistake and we were checked in an upgraded room. The room was exclusive. Thanks for that.

CCherminatorThe room was okay. No cockroaches identified. The swimming pool is fine. Reception is approachable, a bit hectic but helpful if you insist. Development areas: the hotel did not respond to my calls, messages via Trip.com, email, or WhatsApp despite many attempts. I did it in advance and a day before the check-in - full ignorance. Only after arrival they shared another WhatsApp number that they use: +63 968 406 0479. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from the city center. On one side there is a big school, on the other - a huge construction of another hotel. Be ready to enjoy either the children’s screaming or the sounds of construction from 7:30 a.m. The only thing that helped here is the old-school through-the-wall air conditioner (PTAC) that is noisy enough to drown out the sounds from the street. If you are courageous or desperate enough to book this hotel, at least ask for a side-view room. The elevator stopped working after a couple of days, which made us fit to go up to the 5th floor by stairs. The breakfast is extremely poor and deserves to be missed.

GGuest UserReview for Ginto Residence in El Nido – 4/5 Stars Ginto Residence is a fantastic place to stay in El Nido if you’re looking for a central location. This small property with only four rooms feels more like an Airbnb than a traditional hotel, which adds to its charm. The staff are extremely friendly and polite, and communication is easy via WhatsApp. The amenities are thoughtful – free water, hot coffee, and tea are always available. The rooms are freshly renovated and very clean. The location is exceptional, right in the heart of Corong-Corong, with plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance. If you’re in an upper-floor room, the balcony provides a great view of the street below – but keep in mind, you’ll also hear the street noise quite clearly. This makes it ideal for guests who want to be in the middle of the action, but perhaps not for those seeking peace and quiet. Breakfast is served in a local Filipino restaurant nearby and features delicious, authentic Filipino cuisine. The internet connection is excellent and very stable, which was a huge plus. One suggestion for improvement would be to add a refrigerator in the rooms, as this would be very convenient for guests. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again. It’s a great option for its location, friendly service, and modern amenities. Four stars!
