"I was really glad I booked this hotel. Aside from the fact that it is cheaper than other hotels, it was near Pratunam market which is why I considered booking it. There is a 500baht deposit but it was immediately refunded after checkout. It also has a daily room cleaning and towels are changed everyday. I requested a room with 2 single beds and it was granted. If I go back to Bangkok, I will definitely book this hotel again."

"I stayed at Youyen Hostel DMK recently. The room and bathroom were reasonably clean, which was good, and they also provided shampoo and shower gel. However, there were a few things that could definitely be improved. When I arrived in the afternoon, I had to wait around 30 minutes because nobody was at the reception. There were also other guests waiting at the same time. During my stay, I noticed the reception desk was often empty, so getting help usually meant waiting for someone to come back. The breakfast was quite basic, more like a light snack than a proper breakfast. Another issue was the air conditioning, which does not run all the time and only works during certain hours. The shower in my bathroom was also broken. Overall, the hostel is decent for a short stay near DMK airport, especially if you just need a budget-friendly place, but the service and facilities could be managed better."

"Basic, but it's my second time choosing this place. The location is excellent, and it's quiet. There's a nice small green area. Your window might overlook... other windows. The hot water is plentiful, even without the heater on full power. It does get a bit stuffy with just a fan and no AC, but for a private room in this location, it's budget-friendly. In the common area, there's a fridge, kettle, and microwave – very convenient! This particular room could really use some hooks or hangers for clothes, but it's not a deal-breaker. Just remember to bring your own shampoo and soap from home (or your previous hotel). It's super easy to get to and from the airport using the S1 bus; the stop is very close!"

GGuest UserStaffs are very kind and helpful. Hotel is small but feel clean and cozy. Location is also not bad, you can walk to Rathachewi bts staion, Siam Paragon, Centralworld and Big C or if you don’t like to walk can also take BTS with just 1 station. Near Phaya station which can direct to Airport. Just one weak point is the street in front of hotel is quite dirty. And go to nearest 711 have to thru under the bridge which quite smelly and dirty. Overall, it’s good, staffs are very very nice!

AAnonymous UserThis was my second time booking an all-female dorm, and it was very clean and comfortable. However, that's just the nature of hostels – your experience isn't just about the facilities and service, but also largely depends on your roommates. Unfortunately, on the night of May 4, 2016, in the female dorm, some girls were playing short videos on their phones without headphones. Then, two other Chinese girls excitedly chatted loudly in Mandarin until 11:30 PM. They then proceeded to shower and blow-dry their hair until past midnight. You could hear their showering, chatting, loud laughter, and hair-drying from floors above and below at that late hour. It was truly embarrassing. They clearly have no regard for public etiquette. As a Chinese girl myself, I felt incredibly ashamed and embarrassed by their behavior. In the future, I'll remember to choose hostels that are less frequented by Chinese travelers. It's a real shame.

GGuest UserThis is a youth hostel, and we were traveling with our parents. Although there wasn't a kettle in the room, there's one on the first floor where you can get hot water for free. There's also a security gate on each floor, which makes it very safe – people who aren't staying here can't go up. There's no elevator, but the staff were really enthusiastic and helped us carry our luggage upstairs, which we really appreciated! The family room had an inner window, so ventilation wasn't great, but it was nice and quiet. The overall decor is very new and the style is simple. The common areas are quite well-equipped, with a kitchen, laundry room, dining area, tea tables and chairs, and computers. The front desk offers 24-hour service. There's a 400 deposit, which the staff returns after checking the room at checkout.

SSTUART GOODALLBeat Warii has become the place to beat for me here in Bangkok. First and foremost, it offers great value and that counts for everything. The location on the riverside is central, convenient and scenic with a constant kaleidoscope of things happening right outside. You have access to piers, boats, buses and e-hailing services/cabs. The famous temples and most beautiful Watsuttiwaram and Yannawa are within working distance, and the world's most beautiful Mall (IconSiam)is a very short boat ride away for a minimal amount, but you can choose to walk there too. Asiatique the entertainment and riverfront development is within easy reach and offers complimentary transport via boat or shuttle. The area around the Hostel houses the largest fish market and seafood buffet restaurant. Within a few minutes' walk is a multitude of local places to eat that offer unique cuisine as well a selection of international food as well. The Hostel has a basketball court, laundry and ironing facilities, lots of space over 7 Floors, co-walking areas, lockers for shoes and valuable, capsule type dormitory beds, private rooms, a shared kitchen space, social areas, a cozy roof top with wow views, branded merchandize, places to hang and dry clothes, good AC and fans throughout, Comfy linen (crisp white duvets and sheets/pillows and a towel), adequate lights and plugs at bedside, laminated flooring, bean bags to chill, dedicated smoking space, local cats to play with, filtered water (hot and cold) , complimentary coffee all day, storage space for luggage, no refundable deposits requested, good maintenance, great showers and toilets throughout and staff that is professional, helpful, kind and friendly. There are no elevators, but this provides a daily workout for you. There is generally a good vibe and a nice mix of international guests around and yes, you can walk to a few Seven 11's easily as well as Little Big C. Yes, there is a fishy smell outside and it feels very local and wet in the surrounding area, but it does not affect your stay or experience at the actual Hostel, and it adds character to the entire environment. For where it is and the quality and selection of services and features you receive, Beat Warii is the best choice overall.

11WanderAwayI recently enjoyed another delightful stay at Yakthai Poshtel, marking my fourth visit to this charming establishment. I checked in at 1:30am and was warmly greeted by Wishai, the evening front desk staff member, who made the late check-in process smooth and hassle-free. The front daytime desk staff, Pan and the newly hired Beau, were exceptionally friendly and helpful during my check-out, leaving a positive lasting impression. Peiw, the housekeeper, ensured that everything was immaculately clean, maintaining the high standards I’ve come to expect here. The poshtel offers private rooms with shared toilets and showers, and the added comfort of being able to control your own air conditioning made my stay even more enjoyable. Yakthai Poshtel also features a small, cozy café downstairs where you can buy coffees and teas, and that serves a simple free breakfast for guests. I appreciated the convenience of having souvenirs available for purchase and the unique option to rent traditional Thai costumes for events or memorable photos. The poshtel's location is ideal, situated in a quiet area directly across from the stunning Wat Ratchabophit temple. Each stay reaffirms my decision to keep returning, as the friendly and helpful staff truly make Yakthai Poshtel feel like a home away from home.

NNan19The accommodation was clean. It wasn't hard for us to find because there's a Tiger Laundry shop downstairs 🐯. Inside, there's a separate door for the accommodation with shoe storage. Check-in was convenient for introverts. There are tons of food options around, but the alley is very narrow and difficult to walk through. There was a bit of noise disturbance from the street in the alley. Drinking water, shampoo, and conditioner were all provided, and they were good quality organic brands. The air conditioning was cool and comfortable. The bed wasn't super soft but it was clean. It really depends on luck whether you get polite roommates. On the day I stayed, someone stayed up late and was quite noisy, which woke me up a bit. I didn't get a completely restful sleep. There are two toilets and two showers (on the accommodation floor), and it seems they aren't separated by gender.

There’s a restaurant on the ground floor that’s convenient and serves decent food, especially after a long day out. Location near Khao San Road is great if you want to be close to everything. a solid option for the budget with no major issues.

GGuest UserOverall Experience: This hotel is a decent option, especially if you want to escape the city's hustle and bustle. The rooftop room I booked was incredibly spacious and cozy, perfect for a relaxing night even when it rained. The location is a bit tricky, with no parking and a narrow alleyway leading to the entrance, but it's worth it for the peace and quiet. The highlight was definitely the rooftop room. It felt so open and comfortable. However, the open-air bathroom might not be for everyone, especially if you're shy. For me, it was completely fine. Just be aware there’s no elevator, and if you’re on the 6th floor like I was, be ready for a bit of a climb! Bringing snacks and drinks up with you is a good idea to avoid going up and down too often. The view from the top floor room was absolutely amazing. It was a great reward after the climb. haha! P.s..I’d recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a unique and quiet experience and doesn't mind a bit of a workout to get to their room. The view and the rooftop room are fantastic. :)
