This hotel is located near many of Zhanjiang's attractions including Inch Golden Park, Taishan Temple and Chikan Old Street. This hotel makes a great place to kick back and relax after a long day of sightseeing. Guests of this Zhanjiang hotel can make use of the parking facilities. Our guests consider this hotel to have excellent service. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling with families.
"It's about a 30-minute drive from both Zhanjiang West and North Stations, so the transportation is very convenient. Plus, it's only a 10-15 minute walk to Chikan Old Street. There are also plenty of late-night snack options in the nearby small streets.
The bedding in the room was very clean, and the cleaning lady was wonderful. We were traveling with a child and asked her for extra bottles of water both days, and she was always very enthusiastic.
Don't bother going to the restaurant across the street. The pictures look great, but it's a huge rip-off. The Zhanjiang chicken wasn't even cooked through and was impossible to chew, and a plate of vegetables cost 28 yuan..."

"The hotel is super convenient in the old town, close to everything, with many great restaurants within walking distance. I slept really well at night; it was quiet, and the room was very clean. The bathroom was spacious, and the shower had excellent water pressure – very refreshing. The in-room button controls were very advanced, much better than other hotels where the panel lights stay on and disturb sleep. The hotel offers laundry service; just a call to the front desk and a staff member from your floor will pick up your clothes, wash them until they're fragrant, and bring them back to your room. Parking is available in roadside spots very close by and convenient. The breakfast quality was also good, and the timing was perfect from 7 AM to 10 AM, allowing for a lie-in.
The only, and I mean only, drawback is that, perhaps in pursuit of high water pressure, you can hear everything clearly from adjacent rooms when they use water, especially the sink. You can even feel the walls vibrating. I stayed for two nights, and luckily, my neighbors slept early and woke late, so there wasn't much disturbance after 9 PM. However, if you happen to have neighbors who sleep late and wake early, it could be quite uncomfortable.
Oh, and the two young ladies at the front desk were both very warm and excellent!"

"The hotel felt quite old overall, even the TV was hard to operate! 😂 However, the location is excellent. Considering it was 800 a night during the May Day holiday, everyone can decide for themselves if it's worth it.
Cons:
1. We had a partial sea view room on the 9th floor, directly facing the Garden Hotel's pool. So it wasn't a full sea view. You could get a full sea view in photos, but for a better view, I'd recommend trying to get a higher floor.
2. No mini-fridge in the room.
3. It's a storage water heater, so the water pressure is low, and you need to time your showers carefully to ensure you have enough hot water.
4. The facilities are genuinely outdated.
Pros:
1. The location is fantastic. There are two malls nearby with plenty of food options and a large supermarket. Just cross the road, and you're at Jinshawan Beach."

"I really have to praise the service, Xiao Qin and Xiao Jia deserve a huge thumbs up! 👍👍👍
When I called to request an early check-in, Xiao Qin learned that I was traveling with two 80-year-old seniors. She thoughtfully suggested I spend a little extra to upgrade to a gold card, which would include benefits like a room upgrade, breakfast, early check-in, and late check-out. I accepted, and looking back, it was such a wise decision! We got two beds, a very spacious room, and a large table perfect for making tea and chatting.
Later, my cousin felt the bed was a bit too soft (she's always particular about her sleep but usually doesn't want to bother people, so she just puts up with it, especially since we all found it quite comfortable). Because Xiao Qin had left such a great impression on me, I mentioned it to her. Since all the beds are standard, Xiao Qin couldn't resolve it immediately, but she didn't just dismiss it as impossible. Instead, she reported it to Xiao Jia, who is incredibly capable. Xiao Jia somehow managed to find a firm mattress, and my cousin finally had a wonderful night's sleep. I'm truly grateful, knowing that in similar situations before, she would have just endured it for the night.
The hotel has just been renovated. The lobby has a very pleasant aroma, and there's a free self-service laundry and drying room, which is a lifesaver for lazy people like me. The room design is a simple, smart, and comfortable style that young people would appreciate, complete with elegant tea sets and high-quality toiletries. It all brings a smile to your face.

"Whenever I'm in Zhanjiang for business, Joyland Hotel is my top choice. Its excellent location makes commuting a breeze. Guest UserHotel is plush. Just keep in mind this is rural. You'll be next to rice paddies. Dont let the locals rip you off for transportation. It's 4 yuan to go to the beach on the local bus and not 50. They'll also tell you you cant get back to Mazhangxizhan,but a bus comes every two hours and can be tracked with the chelaile app.Hot tip stay at Greentree Inn. That whole street has restaurants,a supermarket and other hotel and is even closer to Longhaitian.

Guest UserBus 6 will take you very close to this hotel,but some trains arrive late and taxi drivers like vultures will hover and ***** when you wont pay their ridiculous fare to go a mere 4.5KM. Zhanjiang is an armpit. A video on line made it seem so modern. It took more than an hour to cross this bombed out city to get train tickets at the south station. I also went on to Donghaidao. Overall with 9mil people you'd think they'd organize this disaster. Move on to Guangzhou,Zhuhai or Shenzhen.

MochadoufuThe price/performance ratio is very high. There is a 4-person LOFT duplex on the upper and lower floors, with a 1.8-meter-sized bed on each upper and lower floor. The price is only 200+, and the location is absolutely great! ! Across the road is Jinshawan Beach, the Cosmopolitan Buildings, and the downstairs are full of places to eat, play, and shop. Regarding the fact that there are no windows, I spent the day at the beach, playing outside, and came back to check in at night. As far as I am concerned, whether there are windows or not, the impact here is not big. I went directly to the beach to see the sea view. If there are many people coming to play, this hotel will be my first choice. The disadvantage of the room is that the stairs are too high, making it inconvenient to go up and down, especially for the elderly.

SatalawangshichongWe were passing by Hainan and stayed for one night. The room was large, clean and tidy, and the front desk staff provided good service. We had our own parking lot. The staff in the parking lot were very enthusiastic and helped us carry our suitcases. Thank you very much! Rich breakfast. The disadvantage is that the quilt is too thick, heavy and hot, so I didn't sleep well at night. Now the quilts in various hotels have been replaced by thin ones. Newly renovated, clean, spacious rooms, and basic amenities—all the standard Hanting offers. However, like most Hanting hotels, the soundproofing is somewhat poor; if your neighbors aren't particularly noisy, it shouldn't be a problem. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious, excellent value for money. The staff are polite. There are private parking spaces available, but not many; you might have trouble if you arrive late. Overall, I'm satisfied and would stay here again if I'm in Zhanjiang. Highly recommended.

The hotel is relatively clean, the room front desk service is good, free upgrade my room, the washing machine is not noisy on the top floor, the two machines are not queued, the restaurant on the top of the building is rich in dishes, and it is highly recommended to drive to Haikou. Close to the port, very convenient!

20250207-08 Struggling to find reception, as on 2nd floor in building of shopping centre. They do not understand! Just keep saying don't understand: ”wǒ tīng bù dǒng”. Not helpful at all! Just keep on typing on translator and not in WeChat.
Very difficult to know where to park in parking garage beneath the shopping centre building. After driving around, found a sign to hotel, but not at entrance to parking garage.
Morning staff as unfriendly as evening staff. Just shouting at me! I kept on saying ”Weixin”. Lateron she registered...
The trip.com awards were for 2020 and 2022 - definitely not for reception staff in 2025! 😰
