"We stayed in a little hut which was very cosy and warm even though it was quite cold outside. The hut was equipped with hot water, stove, water boiler and cutlery. Unfortunately no oven but that was totally fine. The location was perfect: a few minutes drive outside Hvollsvollür. Would totally stay there again ＜3"

"The hotel is in a good location, right near the waterfall, and the environment is open and quiet. The hotel is similar to a family-style hotel, with self-check-in, and is very cozy. It is very warm to provide free coffee and chocolate. The room is clean and the bedding is comfortable. The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Although it was a last-minute reservation, we were very satisfied with the tour and even saw the Northern Lights at midnight."

"Very close to the Seri Yalan Waterfall, about ten minutes drive. We stayed here on the return trip. The room was a bit cold at night. The flour outside at sunrise in the morning was very good. Breakfast was basic."

"The newest hotel on our Iceland adventure, it opened in July 2025. You walk in and can smell how new it is... very modern facilities, spacious rooms, a comfortable bed, Smart TV, and a very complete breakfast. I highly recommend it!"

"We stayed at a hotel right next to Skógafoss, and you can drive directly into the Skógafoss parking lot, which makes access extremely convenient. We had two rooms with views of the mountains and the waterfall, which was truly special. The rooms were a little on the smaller side, but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. A useful note: the cold water in the room is safe for drinking, while the hot water comes from natural hot springs (which may have a slight sulfur smell, as is common in Iceland). Breakfast had a smaller selection, but the taste and quality were good. I would also recommend trying the hotel restaurant at least once during your stay—the food was quite enjoyable. We were fortunate to catch the northern lights on both nights. On the first night, there was a strong, dancing aurora (around KP 6–7 / G3 storm) right outside the hotel in the parking area. On the second night (around KP 3), I woke up in the middle of the night and was still able to capture it on my phone despite some light pollution from the hotel. One small thing to note is that the main entrance doors close after 11 PM, so we had to use the side entrance when returning late at night."

"💯💯💯 recommend Lindartun Guesthouse! Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse. It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky. Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner. We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious. The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup. Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time!
