"The room was clean, the service was good, the breakfast was good, the good choice for a day off, I accidentally broke a glass and didn’t let me compensate. I forgot the power bank and called the hotel to ask and quickly helped find it."

"We stayed at a hotel right next to Skógafoss, and you can drive directly into the Skógafoss parking lot, which makes access extremely convenient. We had two rooms with views of the mountains and the waterfall, which was truly special. The rooms were a little on the smaller side, but they were very clean and the beds were comfortable. A useful note: the cold water in the room is safe for drinking, while the hot water comes from natural hot springs (which may have a slight sulfur smell, as is common in Iceland). Breakfast had a smaller selection, but the taste and quality were good. I would also recommend trying the hotel restaurant at least once during your stay—the food was quite enjoyable. We were fortunate to catch the northern lights on both nights. On the first night, there was a strong, dancing aurora (around KP 6–7 / G3 storm) right outside the hotel in the parking area. On the second night (around KP 3), I woke up in the middle of the night and was still able to capture it on my phone despite some light pollution from the hotel. One small thing to note is that the main entrance doors close after 11 PM, so we had to use the side entrance when returning late at night."

"💯💯💯 recommend Lindartun Guesthouse! Stayed here for 1 night on 1st October 2024 after our drive to Highlands and got here when it was already dark but i loved the drive to the junction from the main road to the guesthouse. It was pretty dark around the area which we thought we could be lucky for aurora sightings but it was cloudy. Luckily, I asked the owner when was the last aurora sighting at the guesthouse and she immediately opened her laptop and that’s when I found put there’s aurora forecast website in Iceland. She was the one that let us know there’s higher chance to spot aurora on the upcoming friday due to clear sky. Oh btw, for our check-in process, when I first arrived and entered the guesthouse, please take off your shoes by the entrance, and go to reception area infront of the kitchen and take the house phone to call the owner. We booked room no. 5 which cones with a sofa bed and the long toom was so cute and cozy. This is the cutest guesthouse room design among all 13 accoms across the country during our trip. I really loved it a lot as the room was long and spacious. The common dining area was really nice and big which I didn’t really spend time here. But I used the kitchen the next morning to boil hot water and make myself my hot chocolate and instant mushroom soup. Worth my money. Will book again if I visit Iceland again next time! "Had such a great stay at the garage, super scenic spot. The room was just perfect and it was quite a treat to arrive to fresh baked banana bread and chocolate cake the day we arrived. The owner was very accommodating and there to answer any questions. My boys, ages 11 and 13 were able to explore the property up to the waterfall behind the home which was an extra special treat. Especially when her dogs followed us along the trail I think that made their day. We even got to take advantage of the hot tub after our day of hiking. Looking back I would have booked 2 nights here as we really loved it and could have easily stayed 2 days and done some of our tours venturing out from there. ."

"It’s a nice boutique hotel and with welcoming staffs. The food is good esp the curry, excellent. The room size is perfect but the toilet is a bit too small. But well, it’s obvious nth we can do with that."

"First of all, the image currently used by Trip.com shows a different hotel. The Hotel Skoga has a dark, sloping roof and is now quite run-down. This, along with the price, is the biggest criticism. Offering an old building with small rooms for this price is simply outrageous, even by Icelandic standards. Aside from the condition of the building, the small rooms, and the price, there was nothing to complain about; the cleanliness and breakfast were fine. For €50 less per night, it might even be worth recommending, but not under these circumstances."

"Very comfortable cabin, very suitable for couples or families, can accommodate 4 people. The environment is clean and tidy, making people want to live for a few more days."

"It was past 8 when I arrived at the hotel that night, the restaurant was closed, and the waiter took out a simple map and patiently explained the location of the nearby restaurant. Breakfast is buffet style, richer than expected and very satisfying. The hotel layout is very chic, many hiccups. There is free parking space, convenient location, only 5 minutes away from the lava exhibition hall Lava Centre ."

"The view is excellent, at the foot of a mountain, it should be a cabin to see the aurora, but unfortunately we did not see the aurora in summer. The location is not far from Scoga Falls, Seriyaran Falls and Vic Black Beach, these three attractions can choose from here. The house facilities are very new, the heating is turned on in advance, the Icelanders really don't know how to advertise, and the good house is like a rough house. The housekeeper's English is not good, but the communication is still clear. Other comments are helpful, you can call the password until they answer the phone, if you can't, you can also take a chance on the spot, and you will see the women who clean up the house working nearby."
