This is a very new homestay. The location is in the most prosperous area in the city. It is only two small streets away. There are three independent units in the whole homestay. The layout of the three units is similar. If you are traveling by car, the homestay has a parking location. Check-in is convenient and simple. It takes about 5 to 10 minutes to complete. After completion, the door lock password will be sent, which is simple and convenient than using the key. Don't be afraid of losing. The unit is divided into two floors, the lower floor is two bedrooms (this is very important, luggage does not need to be moved to the 2nd floor), one has two double beds in the western style, the other has three tatami mats in the room, the 2nd floor is a living room with open kitchen, separate toilet and bathroom, laundry and dryer is also here. Overall, this time a family of four lives here is very comfortable, if you choose to stay in Asahikawa City, it is highly recommended to choose here! If you are hard to find shortcomings, the stairs are a bit slanted, and the other point is that there are no attractions in Asahikawa City.

Our family really enjoyed our stay, though the bed was a bit small. The breakfast was plentiful and varied. They offered ice cream and probiotic drinks daily, plus free ramen in the evenings. The hotel genuinely cares about its guests with such thoughtful services. The natural hot spring was also very relaxing; we could enjoy the falling snow on our faces while soaking in the courtyard. We'll definitely stay here again next time.

We chose this ryokan for its proximity to Asahikawa Zoo. With a rental car, its location was convenient. The room featured traditional tatami mats and futons for our family of four. The highlight was the in-house ‘onsen’ bath, which we enjoyed without any additional fees. The attentive staff surprised us by clearing the snow off our car after a heavy snowstorm. Senshoen gets my highest recommendation for its service, comfort, and lovely garden.

Besides the separate male and female bathrooms, it's very thoughtful that the female shower rooms have an extra password lock, which makes you feel very secure. I tested them and they were all very clean 👍👍. The ground floor houses a restaurant, and the reception staff are quite friendly. The room space is a bit small; if you open two 20-inch suitcases, you basically can't walk around. Another slight drawback is that while the hotel has its own parking lot, it still requires an additional fee, which is the same as the parking lot next to the hotel. The main point is that the parking lot close to the hotel is more expensive than those across the street.

We stayed here for two nights towards the end of our Hokkaido trip. We called ahead to arrange parking for our rental car, and the staff member we spoke with was incredibly helpful and pleasant over the phone, ensuring a smooth parking experience. While the hotel itself is a bit dated, we found it to be exceptionally clean and well-maintained. Happy hour offered complimentary drinks and curry rice. We immediately toasted with beer, followed by a satisfying curry rice to round it off! The breakfast buffet also had a wide variety of options, and we were very satisfied! We would definitely want to stay here again if we ever return to Asahikawa! Highly recommended!

Due to frequent JR cancellations during my arrival, I considered canceling my Asahikawa trip. Despite multiple attempts to communicate with the hotel and the platform, and providing JR's official cancellation notice, the hotel's firm refusal to issue a refund was truly disappointing. The hotel itself is decent; its strengths are its direct visibility from Asahikawa Station and the spacious rooms. There's a more famous hotel across the street, but overall, the hotel's facilities are quite old, and the experience wasn't particularly cozy. It's acceptable as a stopover for exploring the surrounding areas.

Very professional hotel and the rooms have a cool layout. I love that the windows actually open so you can get fresh air. The mattresses are very firm (good for your back) but the pillows are kind of weird memory foam blocks, so that was a bit awkward. I put a shirt under one pillow to bring it up to normal height for my neck. They are too low otherwise but stacking two of them is way too much, I would suggest putting a mixture of fluffy normal pillows and these memory foam things. Otherwise the hotel is pretty great, relaxed atmosphere, right on the main street and very close to two different Lawson kombinis, and a Mister Donut is literally right next door and stays open late. So you're in a great spot. You can do anything at R Hotels. I felt really good energy and the staff were super professional and friendly. Will definitely stay here again on my next trip.

This is a traditional, family-run inn that truly excels in hospitality and personal charm. I booked a room with a private bath; it was exceptionally spacious at nearly 40 square meters, and we had the entire floor to ourselves. Our private bath was conveniently located directly on the rooftop, situated at the highest point of the small hill, offering an amazing soaking experience. The family operates their own restaurant, and both breakfast and dinner were delightful. This was our children's favorite hotel of the entire trip, providing fantastic value for money. They even have a nostalgic 90s-era arcade! It's definitely a top choice for travelers on a self-drive trip. The owner and staff were incredibly warm, enthusiastic, and kind. A huge thank you once again for their wonderful hospitality!

It was convenient since it’s not that far from the station. It was clean and had a great stay for a night. There is also a convenience store nearby so it’s a plus especially if you nees anything or just wanted to buy some necessities.
