"Not the first time staying here, and will go back again. Location is perfect, all the necessities can be found within a walking distance. Amenities: All the important amenities are available except for hand towels and you have to beg for towels and pretty much the replenishment of amenities after the room is cleaned, far different from the last time when it was still Belmont. First room we were given had a very mouldy smell and which gave the kids and I instant headaches. They eventually changed it after about 4 hours of waiting and intervention by Trip.com. This really put a damper on things. Breakfast: Great, the variety is good, but it’s the same pretty much everyday. The beach: Within 5 minutes walk, but don’t you dare lose of misplace the beach pass paper tag, they’re very uptight about it. The beach if not the best beach, very rocky which makes swimming pretty uncomfortable. However, the pool area is awesome and there are sun loungers all around and that makes up for the unpleasant beach. They provide swimming towels too! I must say it has developed a lot since the last time I was here and I can only hope they will keep improving."

"Excellent Stay! I recently stayed at this accomodation and was really impressed. The room was well-equipped — it had a coffee maker, rice cooker, induction cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine…and even a garment steamer! There was a steady supply of drinking water, a big TV, and fast, reliable Wi-Fi. I also appreciated the bathrobes provided — a nice touch of comfort. It also had a gym and a pool but unfortunately, I stayed on a Monfay and its closed for cleaning and maintenance. The place is quiet since it’s located away from the city noise but still conveniently close to the airport. The only small issue I had was figuring out how the hot shower works, but everything else was perfect. Overall, it was a great stay and I’d definitely come back!"

"We stayed at the Waterfront for one night to attend the Hillsong concert, and our experience was absolutely wonderful! The room was stunning—I fell in love with its charming vintage ambiance. It was impeccably clean, beautifully scented, and wonderfully soundproof. To our delight, we were upgraded from a standard room to a Superior—thank you, Waterfront! The staff truly made our stay exceptional, especially the front desk team. Check-in and check-out were effortless, smooth, and welcoming. Breakfasts were a delight, offering a fantastic start to our day. The Wi-Fi was a bit congested, likely due to the concert that evening, but thankfully we had our backup ready—no worries there! A special shoutout to the Christmas tree—it’s absolutely breathtaking and added such a magical touch to our stay. Overall, a memorable one-night stay, and we can’t wait to return!"

"We booked for a two bedroom unit, but they gave us only one bedroom unit. We needed to pay additional fee just to be transferred to the right room which we booked. In the room, the aircon is so noisy. It blows directly to your face because it’s just beside the bed. You either turn it off to avoid the noise and the inconvenience brought by direct blowing of the aircon on your face or suffer from too much heat. It was so uncomfortable. There is no rug and broom provided. We booked for five nights and the room become very dirty because there is no broom and rug provided for the room."

"Breakfast was unfortunately not very good. Few options of western breakfast - at least some bread but no sausage or cheese. The staff is great tho. The elevator times are always very long - from the ground and on your room level. Otherwise the hotel is totally fine - enough space - and the pool is good as well. Next to the hotel is a 7/11, so a snack is never far away ;)"

"Booked a deluxe twin room for my two-day, one-night free and easy trip to Cebu. It was great value for money. The hotel is tucked away in a quiet spot despite being in a busy area. The breakfast buffet was good, and there's a huge mall next door with a food court and a big supermarket. I even found some local Cebu specialties like dark chocolate-covered dried mangoes, which were more than half the price compared to Manila airport. However, the city center of Cebu isn't the best environment, though it felt safe enough."

"I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. Poor service. First time in my life I got to use the bidet as shower. We called the receptionist for our complain about the unbearable hot temperature of their shower and we are told that they will call the engineering dept.to respond to the issue. But after almost an hour of waiting (imagine, I already got my body pre-showered,because I stopped when I felt that the water is so hot) we got a call asking if we will be extending our stay. And luckily, it was my husband who answered the call. And calmly replied, “No, we will be checking out in a moment”. Because if I were the one who got the chance to answer the call, then I will say “we will definitely not extending our stay. And never to come again.” I decided to just use the bidet as shower so we can leave the place. I hope this will not happen to anybody. Their price doesnt justify the means. NEVER AGAIN! 😌"

However, there are a few drawbacks: the bathroom is tiny, the soundproofing in the rooms isn't great, and the breakfast selection is quite limited. If these issues were improved, it would easily be a five-star hotel.

AAnonymous UserAfter reading the description on the hotel website, seeing the pictures and reading the reviews, I have to admit that we were quite disappointed. We booked the „Royal Bungalow“ located directly at the private beach of the resort for 3 nights . The description promised: „With only 4 Royal Bungalows available, you’ll experience a heightened level of privacy and personalized service during your stay.“ We did not experience any personalized service or privacy. The beach was very crowded and noisy and people were having their picnic directly in front of our veranda. We also had the impression that there were quite a few day-guests at the beach. On the second night, the dinner was at the beach in front of our bungalow, with music blasting until 9pm, which wasn’t so nice with little children who wanted to sleep. On the third day, there was even a bouncing castle with a noisy motor next to the veranda (see pictures for the view from our bungalow). Our understanding of privacy and exclusivity differs considerably from what we experienced. Also, on the first day, our bungalow was only cleaned at 5 pm, even though we put the „please clean“ sign at 9:30. In addition, the service during dinner and breakfast was not very pleasant. The staff was not very attentive and our order for drinks was forgotten at 3 different occasions. There was not even a word of excuse when we kindly asked were our order was. Maybe it was because the main restaurant was closed for renovations and food was always served either at the beach or the pizza restaurant. After the first night, we asked whether it was possible to reserve a table for the next two nights, which was kindly promised to be arranged. Unfortunately, on both nights they forgot about it. On the plus side, there were 2 shows during our stay during dinner, which was pretty cool and there is always life music. The Oyster bar at the beach is great and the staff there was amazing. Also, the gym is good and there are 3 pools at the resort, one with a slide, which tb kids really enjoyed. The resort itself is very nice designed work small huts and a lot of green. Also, upon request, they extended the offer to a complementary airport transfer as this would have been included in a booking via Their website (and not via trip.com). One last thing, which I found quite strange was that - even though we had a full board offer via Trip.com - they tried to charge all buffet food (apart from breakfast) to us. I don’t know whether this was on purpose or just bad management, but it kinda added to the overall not too great experience. Once they adapted then the bill, they tried to charge the airport transfer - overall I felt quite uncomfortable during the check-out. To summarise: It was okay to stay there, the resort is nice. The service did not really live up to the promise. You should be aware that it is quite a large resort.

YYe Jin JangFantastic stay and real island getaway!  View and waters are amazing, food was included in our stay (breakfast and dinner) and there are many free activities to take part. The view are spectacular! The rooms were clean and spacious for 2 pax- can fit up to 4 pax.  Favorite activity was to fish from the lagoon and watch the baby shark (white shark) feeding at 1130am and chilling at the hammock infront of the rooms.  Massages are quality if you want some wave asmr as they are done in the outdoor huts but only can do 1 hour blocks and require quick booking/advance booking as the masseuses are limited.  wifi connections are good islandwise but it’s more of chillax resort. The rooms have netflix and youtube.  do bring some night snacks or simple lunch as their restaurants close early at 9pm and ferry out are only during the lunch time

GGabby TMy family and I only stayed for a night but it was a fun experience. There are a lot of pools and activity areas. All the pools were about knee to a bit above the waist high which was okay, I'm assuming it's for the safety of the kids since there are a lot of families with children in the resort. We also enjoyed the food(room service and breakfast buffet), but we were a bit disappointed with the dessert since the pastries were a little dry and bland. The drinks however, were good and enjoyable. Service was really nice, everyone always greeted us with a smile and was attentive to our needs. Wifi is free and so far we have had no problem with the speed. The beds are comfortable and the rooms were clean. Though I felt our experience was a bit lacking since there were a few toiletries that were not provided, like room slippers, cotton buds and cotton, a comb, etc. Also the cable was not good so staying in the room to relax would feel a little boring. Also, you only get 1 free request for ice and the next has a payment. But they do provide free water which is refillable and they also offer free instant coffee and tea. Overall, it was a fun experience and I would still love to come back next time.

The seat was damaged/old and needed replacing. I requested this two days in a row, and it wasn’t changed. Other than the toilet seat issue, my stay was perfect.

You need to bring your own kettle, or go to the front desk to get a cup and pour water. Hygiene: The room is cleaned every day, but the swimming pool is open 24 hours a day. I don’t know how to maintain it, so I didn’t dare to go to the swimming pool. Fortunately, it’s close to the sea, so you can just swim in the sea. Environment: Both entering and exiting require a long and rugged road. Close to the sea, you can go snorkeling. It's just a hotel, without any star-level services provided, and there is a service fee charged at the end. It is incorrect to list it as a top-ranked local four-star hotel on Ctrip. There should be more options. Service: Unlike the diving shops in Bohol, there is no safety officer here. We took part in the snorkeling activity, because we went with divers, the guide was not very enthusiastic. There is no introduction leaflet for the event to refer to. However, it is indeed convenient to go to see the sardines. You can just take a boat and join the activity to get there. No need to go around town. Special reminder: this fee is not deducted by Ctrip, you need to pay in cash at the store. There is a reminder in the order, please be sure to bring enough cash.

GGuest UserI have been using Costabella for nearly 20 years and have always considered it a pleasant, well maintained hotel. In fact I even got married here! However, during my most recent stay, the experience fell noticeably short of expectations. We booked a poolside room and, after check in, I was genuinely surprised to find that the room was on the third floor. Based on my many previous stays, I had always understood poolside rooms to be those adjacent to the pool at ground level. If you are booking a poolside room, be aware that this may not be the case and expectations should be managed accordingly. The room itself was a little dated in style, but it was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. Housekeeping was consistent throughout the stay, which helped offset the older décor. The pool area is relatively small but generally well maintained. Unfortunately, it was extremely crowded throughout the day due to the large number of day pass visitors. As a result, there were no chairs or loungers available for hotel guests for most of the day, which was disappointing. On a positive note, the beach area was clean and pleasant. The food was the main let down. The buffet breakfast would rate no more than 4 out of 10. Much of the food had not been replenished, including empty juice and coffee stations, and what remained was cold and unappetising. However, it was better on the second day. Dinner was equally disappointing. Several main courses were served cold and had to be sent back to the kitchen twice. In the end, we cancelled two seafood dishes altogether, as reheating raised concerns about food quality and safety. The steak, which was once a highlight of Costabella for me, was extremely tough and far below the standard I have previously enjoyed. Overall, Costabella still has many positive qualities, but this stay did not reflect the standards I have previously associated with the resort and this will be my last visit. Unless the quality of the food and the management of guest capacity improve, I would find it difficult to recommend Costabella based on this recent experience.

AArt F.The rooms are excellent, spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom is huge. On the second day we could not get the staff to clean up the room, for some reason everyone else was a priority. But the rest of the services were great and the staff overall are as welcoming and friendly as Filipinos can be. The location was the major let down for us as there is no beach in reality, which is what we booked for. There is a tiny area of beach access completely covered with algae and littered with boats. You can only hope on an island tour if you want to spend time in an actual White Sand beach. Also you have to chance walking with no sidewalk dodging cars if you want to go eat anywhere else.
