"My stay at the Golden Eagle Shangmei Hotel in Kunshan was absolutely perfect, a full five-star experience. It's truly a hidden gem among high-rise hotels I've stayed at in Kunshan, offering both excellent value for money and a touch of luxury. The overall experience far exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it! The hotel boasts an excellent location in a bustling commercial district, making it incredibly convenient for transportation, shopping, and dining. The 8th floor provides direct access to a shopping mall, so you don't need to venture far to satisfy all your dining, entertainment, and shopping needs – convenience is truly maximized. The hotel lobby, situated on the 29th floor, offers expansive and unobstructed views. The decor is light luxury and grand, incorporating elegant design details that create a wonderful ambiance. The check-in process was efficient and quick, with no tedious waiting. I stayed in a high-floor panoramic view room, and the experience was superb. The room was spacious and well-laid out, never feeling cramped. The massive panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows offered breathtaking views of Kunshan's city lights at night, which were truly healing and stress-relieving. The cleanliness of the room was impeccable; not a speck of dust could be found in any corner. The bedding was soft, skin-friendly, clean, and fluffy, ensuring an excellent night's sleep. The bathroom featured a separate wet and dry area, along with dual sinks and a bathtub, allowing for undisturbed washing and bathing. The quality of the toiletries was also top-notch, with thoughtful attention to detail. What truly impressed me most was the hotel's service. The entire staff, from Ms. Zhang to everyone else, was warm, polite, professional, and patient. Whether it was the front desk during check-in, or the housekeeping and concierge staff, their attitude was consistently gentle and attentive. Any requests were promptly addressed with meticulous care, making me feel incredibly welcomed. The hotel also boasts excellent soundproofing; despite being in a bustling area, it was remarkably quiet, completely undisturbed by external noise, ensuring a high-quality rest. The breakfast offered a rich and diverse selection, with a full range of meats, vegetables, desserts, and beverages. They even had local specialty Aozhao noodles, which were fresh, delicious, and authentic. The overall facilities were new and well-maintained, with high-speed internet and smart devices readily available. It's perfectly suited for both business trips and leisure travel. The value for money is outstanding, and the overall experience is top-notch. I will definitely prioritize staying here again on my next visit to Kunshan!"

"Pros: The lake view is excellent, and the sunset views are superb. The family-friendly facilities are comprehensive, with high chairs and baby cutlery available in the restaurants, and there's also a kids' play area. We didn't get to the pool this time, but I heard the kids' pool is also great. Cons: For a regular weekend, not during a holiday, the service response was quite slow. We called three times for something to be delivered to our room in the afternoon, and it never arrived. The dining was mediocre. The set meal for two at the Chinese restaurant, priced over 300, was small in portion. We wouldn't have been full if it weren't for a large bowl of fried rice, but the fried rice was very salty. The breakfast buffet had a good variety but lacked meat, and both the milk and soy milk were powdered. Because I needed fruit for my baby, I asked a staff member for whole, uncut fruit, only to be told it wasn't available. Yet, the very next moment, I saw another guest helping themselves to fruit from the display cabinet."

"Our high-floor room offered fantastic views of the beautiful city skyline. The hotel's location is excellent, making it easy to walk to Kunshan Grand Theater and the library, which is perfect for a family outing to see a show. It's very family-friendly; the kids loved the swimming pool and the children's play area. The front desk staff were very kind and attentive, especially to us as we were traveling with seniors and children. The breakfast spread was plentiful, and the restaurant by the river had a lovely ambiance. Even though the hotel was very busy during the May Day holiday, the staff worked hard, and we still had a wonderful experience! 👍"

"The Kunshan Lamborghini Hotel has been a landmark in the area for over a decade and remains a top-tier established hotel. Ten years ago, whenever I traveled to Kunshan for business, I almost always stayed here. During both the Qingming Festival and this recent May Day holiday, I made a last-minute booking for one night, and the front desk upgraded me to an executive room. It was still spacious and spotless. Unlike many new budget business hotels that often face limitations due to their leased locations, this hotel has consistently maintained a unique, independent charm. For example, every room has excellent natural light, and the soundproofing is outstanding (the main door is thick, and the bed isn't close to the door). This is a benefit of its well-optimized design from years ago, and it's one of the superior qualities that many budget business hotels, which arbitrarily hike up prices during holidays, simply can't match. I place a lot of importance on my accommodation when traveling, and I've stayed at many budget hotel chains. Their prices are sometimes even comparable to the Lamborghini Hotel (300-400 RMB), but I always find something lacking. This is probably the biggest difference between a professional, star-rated hotel and those. I didn't take any photos myself, so I'm using a recent set from Xiaohongshu, which are completely accurate. One thing I must add is that its location absolutely justifies the price. Downstairs, there's a full range of dining, entertainment, and shopping options, and directly across the street is an Aozhao Noodle restaurant. Thanks to the soundproof windows, even with the lively atmosphere downstairs, it doesn't disturb your rest. A Ferrari, even when old, is still a Ferrari. This is something those new, roller-coaster-priced budget hotels simply can't compare to (the last photo shows the price of a certain hotel in Suzhou on the same day, comparable to a five-star hotel in Shanghai on that day). Of course, to each their own, but that's just my opinion."

"The pool and playground are fantastic! It's perfect for families with kids – you can easily spend a whole day at the hotel, giving parents a well-deserved break. The beds are super spacious too! A special shout-out to Zhu Zhenyuan; I needed iodine late at night and it was brought to me immediately, along with several bottles of water. Much appreciated!"

"Pullman Zhouzhuang Water Town Hotel | A Family's Honest Review Booked this hotel specifically for a family-friendly getaway with my 1-year-old, but the overall experience fell far short of luxury hotel standards. The disappointment was significant. There were numerous complaints regarding the family-friendly amenities: Despite communicating our needs in advance, the baby crib provided was old, with the protective rubber strip along the edge being pitted and damaged. There were only three cot bumpers, and they were often unavailable as they were always borrowed out. The basic provisions for a family hotel were completely inadequate. The pool water was too cold, feeling only in the low twenties degrees Celsius, making it unsuitable for infants. The changing rooms had a noticeable odor, creating a very unpleasant experience. The indoor playground had many older children (around six or seven years old) making a lot of noise, which easily startled smaller babies. The outdoor area was unusable due to the high temperatures. Service efficiency was slow and disorganized. Checking in and getting room cards took an excessively long time. We had requested three rooms on the same floor in advance, but this was not honored. For the complimentary Wansan Winery craft experience, the staff couldn't even tell us the exact distance, asking guests to search for it themselves, which showed a lack of professionalism. When dining at the Chinese restaurant, drinking water and baby cutlery were not offered proactively. Attention to detail was severely lacking. For a high-end resort hotel, the bathroom was not equipped with alcohol wipes or disposable toilet seat covers, and there were no disposable liners for the bathtub, indicating poor hygiene standards. Coincidentally, a music festival was held at the hotel during the weekend. The 9.9 RMB event generated continuous noise, disturbing our rest. The lake view rooms were significantly overpriced, and in comparison, the garden view room package offered much better value for money. I do not recommend paying extra for a lake view room. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel specifically for families with infants."

"Our original booking was for a non-smoking floor, but we were upgraded to an Executive King Room on the 16th floor. The room was spacious and well-equipped with a bathtub, shower, smart toilet, and even bath salts. Despite being an older hotel, it's very well-maintained. The lobby felt a bit dim during the day, but it looked beautiful when lit up at night. The front desk staff were very professional. The young lady who checked us in spoke softly and was very kind. She personally escorted us to the guest room elevator and showed us where to swipe our card. Room service was quick to respond, delivering the latex pillows we requested (all the pillows were quite high, which wasn't ideal for me). Breakfast was just okay. There was a good variety, but most of the stir-fried and cold dishes were spicy. The bread and pastries were of average quality. Parking was available both above ground and in an underground garage, with an elevator directly connecting to the hotel lobby. The hotel is conveniently located near the highway. It's about 4 kilometers from Tinglin Garden, a 10-15 minute drive. There's also a Golden Eagle shopping center just a few hundred meters away, making dining and shopping very convenient. At less than 500 RMB including breakfast for two, the value for money is quite good right now. Staying two consecutive nights would be even cheaper. By the way, the twin lotus flowers at Tinglin Garden are currently in bloom and a sight to behold."

"I purchased a pre-sale package that included tickets to Tinglin Garden, along with breakfast and dinner. The front desk service was excellent; they meticulously explained the different room types and provided the same great service, even for a pre-sale booking. They did their best to accommodate requests like a high-floor room and late check-out. Hearing that my child had a class, Tu Xinmin from the catering department thoughtfully brought yogurt and fruit for them. We're very grateful for this kind gesture. All the ladies at the front desk provided impeccable service. The breakfast selection wasn't extensive, but they offered delicious wontons, and the lady preparing them was very warm and friendly. The dinner included in the package featured items like salmon, conch, and even a mini hotpot – more than enough to fill us up! The staff were also very prompt in clearing tables. However, the hotel clearly shows its age. You definitely won't find smart home features in the rooms, though they do come equipped with a refrigerator, a small safe, and a bathtub. Parking was also convenient. Overall, if you're not picky about modern amenities, it offers excellent value for money."

"Whenever I'm in Kunshan for work, I usually stay at the Holiday Inn or Crowne Plaza. In May, I stayed at the Holiday Inn but missed breakfast. This time, I chose the Holiday Inn again, and the front desk staff, COCO, was incredibly helpful during check-in. She made sure I got to experience their delicious East-meets-West breakfast, which I really appreciate!"

"Whenever I have nowhere else to go, I choose this hotel. I enjoy a leisurely breakfast there, just taking my time. I really like the room layout, especially the twin-bed rooms – they offer great privacy and the space is well-designed and convenient. The toiletries have a scent I particularly like. The bed is large and very comfortable, though the pillows could use some improvement as they're a bit too flat. The front desk staff is pretty and very helpful, though I always forget her name – probably because I'm just admiring her looks! Oh, and one thing: for a five-star hotel, the fridge being empty isn't very reasonable."
