"Here's the takeaway: excellent facilities, but just okay service – a bit of a shame overall. The hotel's public areas, rooms, and pool are very stylish and make for great photos. They've paid attention to the details too: bath salts, disposable bath liners, foot bath basins, multi-purpose charging cables, and wireless charging are all provided, making for a very convenient stay. However, breakfast was a real disappointment. The only highlight was the fresh-squeezed juice; everything else was mediocre. We came to Taizhou specifically for the local glutinous delicacies, and yet, despite egg mochi and other items being clearly advertised on a billboard above the restaurant, none were available when we asked. If they can't provide them, why advertise them and get people's hopes up? Service-wise, the cleaning staff and the pool receptionists were all very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the front desk staff had a poker face throughout, which was a stark contrast to the warm environment and lowered our first impression. In summary: It's great for photos and relaxation, but don't come here expecting a fantastic breakfast or warm service. I'd suggest the hotel focus more on improving breakfast and staff training at the front desk; otherwise, even the best facilities won't be enough to build a good reputation."

"I booked a three-night package deal through Ctrip, and the hotel room was quite spacious and very comfortable. The hygiene and environment were excellent. I'm a bit of a clean freak, so I always wipe down the nightstand and desk with sanitizing wipes when I check into any hotel, and there wasn't a speck of dust here. Also, I drink a lot of water, and the staff were very thoughtful, bringing me several extra bottles. I also dined at the hotel restaurant during my stay; the service was attentive, the food was delicious, and they even gave me a discount. All in all, I was extremely satisfied."

After parking in the underground garage, there was no elevator to the upper floors; we had to carry our luggage up the stairs before we could use the elevator. The VIP reception was on the fifth floor, unlike typical hotels where you're greeted in the lobby. Our experience from the parking lot to the fifth floor was unpleasant, and the facilities didn't match the price. Secondly, regarding service, the overall experience was very average. Aside from one staff member at the fifth-floor reception, we barely encountered any hotel staff. We even had to walk to the adjacent reception building for breakfast. The previous night, we stayed at the DoubleTree by Hilton Shenxianju, where the staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. In comparison, our experience at the VIP hotel was a stark contrast, even though the VIP room rate was significantly higher than the DoubleTree by Hilton. A reviewer added us on WeChat the day before check-in, but it was essentially just for recording our license plate. The booking confirmation mentioned a complimentary gift, and reviews also confirmed it was included, but we didn't receive one upon check-out. Regarding the facilities, the hotel is quite old, and some are dated, but the rooms were generally decent. There was welcome fruit upon entry, and a late-night bowl of noodles was served, which tasted good. Overall, this experience was very average. I had high expectations for the hotel based on the reviews, but the actual experience was quite disappointing. For the price, I'm not satisfied with the experience."

"Located near Shili Changjie in Luqiao, I opted for a package that included a dinner buffet. The food selection was great, and there was a foreign singer performing, which really set a fantastic mood. "On a whim, my friend and I decided to head to Taizhou for seafood after failing to get train tickets from Shaoxing to Shanghai. We chose to stay at this hotel, which is an older five-star property. From the room's decor and facilities, it's clear they put a lot of thought into the details back then, with many standardized and pre-fabricated elements, which is quite impressive. The breakfast was also excellent, offering many unique dishes freshly prepared in an open kitchen. Compared to other hotels that often serve pre-cooked items, this was particularly commendable. There were even chefs circulating, directly assisting guests and catering to their requests, which was wonderful. We also had lunch at the hotel. The head waiter was very attentive, professionally introducing the dishes to us, and the food itself was superb."

"I will never stay at this hotel again. As a five-star hotel, several things left me extremely disappointed! 1. **Extremely slow check-in process at the front desk!** The first check-in took forever. After staying two nights, I decided to extend my stay in the same room. It took 15 minutes just to reactivate my room key card. On the third day, I still couldn't get the elevator to work when I went upstairs, so I had to go back to the front desk to reactivate the card again. Plus, the front desk is quite a distance from Building A. 2. **Lack of basic amenities upon arrival.** On the first day, when I entered the room, there were no slippers or amenity kits (like dental kits, etc.). This clearly shows a lack of preparedness from housekeeping. I immediately called the front desk to request them. It took three hours and two phone calls for them to finally deliver the items. The next day, after the room was serviced, essential items like tissues, slippers, and cotton pads weren't replenished. I had to call the front desk again to request them. They said they'd send them right away, but I waited another hour. It wasn't until my second call that they finally sent a robot with the supplies. 3. **Very mediocre breakfast.** For a five-star hotel, they didn't even provide knives and forks! I had to eat fruit with chopsticks. 4. **Lake view room was uncomfortably hot with non-functional AC.** Lake view rooms are inherently more expensive than non-lake view rooms, but my room was incredibly hot. The air conditioning provided no cooling whatsoever and didn't even have a ventilation function. The only way the room cooled down was when it rained."

Very nice personnel especially 小露 (Xiao Lu),who was so kind and helpful during stay arranging all services. Beautiful, long swimming pool.
