"We came to Weihai for a trip and initially only booked one night. After staying, we felt the hotel was quite good, and the room was very clean. The hotel is in the city center, right below Weigao Plaza, and the popular '网红足球场' (influencer football field) is also very close. The staff service was excellent. We wanted to extend our stay, and Tonia responded quickly and helped us arrange the extension. The hotel's welcome cookies were also very good, and they had creative ice cream at the front desk. It's very convenient for going out shopping or taking a stroll by the sea. Overall, the stay was comfortable and pleasant, and the service was warm and thoughtful. Next time we come to Weihai, we will definitely prioritize staying here again."

"I rarely write reviews, but my first visit to the Shandong coast left a great impression, mainly because of the sea view private hot spring and pool. The hotel as a whole is top-notch, with excellent decor and aesthetics. The front desk lady was incredibly warm and gentle, and a gentleman helped with my luggage and thoughtfully adjusted the room temperature in advance. All the other staff were also very enthusiastic and professional, showing that their internal training is very thorough. The room view is unbeatable, and the private hot spring is huge, more than enough for two people. Opening the door to the sea and falling asleep to the sound of waves at night was pure bliss. The toiletries are a full set of Bulgari, there's a Dyson hairdryer, and a smart toilet. The minibar drinks and all kinds of cups are fully stocked. The environment is first-class, and the sliding door separating the wash area from the bed provides excellent sound isolation. I want to especially praise the pool. At this time of year, very few other hotels, especially those with outdoor pools, have theirs open, but this hotel's pool is already open. I went for a swim in the afternoon when it was warm. I heard there are only about twenty rooms, so the guest experience is excellent with fewer people. I was lucky enough to have the pool all to myself, which you wouldn't experience at a regular five-star hotel. The mackerel dumplings for breakfast were very fresh and delicious, and the breakfast also had fruit, which was a huge plus. As a watermelon lover, I was very satisfied. There are shared e-scooters at the hotel entrance, which is very convenient for those without a car. It's easy to get to Xianghai, Jiming Island, and the shipwreck, and taxis are readily available. There's also a nearby restaurant that serves delicious sea cucumber with rice. Areas for improvement: Because the private hot spring is so large, the disposable bathtub liner provided was a bit small and couldn't cover the walls of the hot spring once filled with water. I hope they can change their selection in the future, though I imagine there are few liners on the market that fit such a large hot spring. I also hope they can improve the placement of the pendant lamp on the left side of the bed in the 270 sunset view room. I wish them prosperous business and hope to stay again next year."

"We arrived at the hotel at 4:30 PM, only to find no rooms available. We were told to wait at least 40 minutes. While waiting in the lobby, we noticed a group of men playing cards. Soon after, we smelled cigarette smoke. When we asked a staff member to address it, they rudely talked back to us, even being verbally abusive. I reported the situation to the lobby manager, and even had to actively seek an update from them. The final response was that they couldn't stop the men because they hadn't 'substantially witnessed' them smoking, among other unacceptable excuses. Although the hotel apologized and offered some gifts, it was an extremely poor experience for us, traveling a long distance with a child! I can only assume this is due to the hotel's usual lack of management, allowing these idle individuals to gather and play cards and smoke. I hope the hotel takes this issue seriously to prevent similar incidents from happening again! Also, we found bugs in the room and reported it to the front desk, but they couldn't provide any clear explanation... Sigh, so unprofessional!"

"Overall, this hotel offers great value for money and exceeded our expectations, especially for a quiet family vacation. However, Weihai is a very long and narrow city from north to south. I wouldn't recommend it if your main destination is Torch Eight Street, as it's very, very far. It's much more suitable if your main destination is Hanlefang. From the hotel, you can easily reach Jiulong Bay Park with a minimum fare, which is great for kids to go crabbing and many locals also come here to pick clams. **Facilities:** The bedding is very comfortable, especially for someone like me who is particular about pillows – I was very satisfied. Other facilities are standard for this price point, including a swimming pool and a gym. The shallow end of the pool is 1.2 meters deep, and the water temperature is 28-29 degrees Celsius. **Hygiene:** The room felt very new, and the cleanliness was impeccable. Those with young children can rest assured. **Environment:** The hotel's interior is excellent. On our first day, it was very windy, and our child played in the lobby on the ground floor for half the day without getting bored. The exterior is a relatively quiet residential area. **Service:** They offer pick-up and drop-off service from Weihai Station, and there were welcome fruits. If we had any issues, the butler was always reachable. Upon check-out, they thoughtfully gave us some fruits and snacks. The breakfast selection was rich and tasty, and baby utensils were available."

"Upon arrival, the first thing I told the front desk was that the Ctrip booking was under my father's name, 'XX'. Even after explicitly stating our father-daughter relationship and sharing the same surname, the male front desk agent repeatedly asked, 'Is this room booked by your husband?' and 'Is your husband staying here himself?' This line of questioning was rude and highly unprofessional. Addressing guests as 'Mr./Ms. XX' is a basic standard. If there were concerns about the booking, they could have simply verified the information or identification. Both my mother's and my IDs were presented, clearly indicating who was checking in, so there was no need for such an offensive tone. I checked in around 3:55 PM, which is within the normal check-in window. However, when I inquired about upgrading to a sea-view room and the additional cost, the front desk refused, citing 'fully booked' and 'not yet cleaned.' It was 4:00 PM, and for a hotel this size to have no rooms available in numerous categories, yet the staff's attitude was unapologetic, was surprising. The room type I booked stated floors 6-26. I was assigned the 25th floor, which is within a reasonable range. However, the front desk agent mentioned it as if assigning the 25th floor was a special favor, which made me uncomfortable. Checking my Ctrip booking remarks, I had initially noted, 'If room availability permits, I would like to upgrade to a sea-view room,' and the hotel system showed 'Hotel agreed to arrange.' When I showed this to the front desk, the agent retorted, 'You can see it says 'if room availability permits,' and it's not available now!' The tone was harsh and sharp. That remark was my request, not something you wrote, so a normal explanation would suffice. Why be so aggressive? Honestly, none of these issues are major, and they could all be resolved with proper communication. However, this front desk agent acted as if he were the 'IHG Crown Prince,' exuding an 'take it or leave it' arrogance that was unacceptable. Consequently, I promptly contacted Ctrip to assist in canceling the second night, staying for only one night. Objectively, the room was spacious, but the minibar was completely empty. The welcome fruit wasn't delivered when I left around 6 PM, and since my luggage was already open and the 'Do Not Disturb' sign was on, I declined the hotel's call around 7 PM while I was still out dining. The hotel's location is quite far from the city center, with most dining and attractions concentrated around Xianghai. There are almost no amenities nearby, making it inconvenient for travel. I initially booked a Ctrip three-day, two-night package. Due to the extremely poor check-in experience, Ctrip coordinated to adjust my stay to one night at the day's actual price. Credit goes to the lady from the reservations department who helped me with my booking and the male front desk agent who assisted with my second check-in; their attitude was gentle, and their communication was smooth and professional. Without them, I would have rated the service at only one point. I hope that 'glasses man' at the front desk can learn proper five-star hotel customer service etiquette and professionalism from these two colleagues."

"Choosing this hotel was such a great decision! We booked a sea-view room, and the hotel even upgraded us to an even better one with an absolutely unbeatable view. What's more, the staff were incredibly thoughtful and warm. Today, as we were leaving, there was a small hiccup – I left something in the parking lot. Zhang Haonan and Li Wei from the concierge team immediately went out in the scorching sun to help me search for it, and then arranged for it to be couriered home. I was so touched by their actions. They truly represent the quality of the people of Weihai and all the hotel staff. Shandong people are indeed hospitable! I'm already planning another trip to Weihai just to stay at Chengtou Hotel again."

"This hotel is right on the beach, just a few steps away, making it easy to enjoy the sand and then head back to the room for a shower. The hotel is a bit older, so the facilities are dated and the decor is from an earlier era; the water pressure in the bathroom is also a bit low. However, the hygiene management is excellent, and the rooms are very clean. The service lives up to its reputation as an established hotel – it's well-managed and the staff are attentive."

"If you're coming to Weihai, you absolutely *must* choose this hotel! Spending two days just relaxing here was heavenly. Everything, from the service to the hotel's design and ambiance, is absolutely perfect – it feels like staying in a castle. The rooms have a South French design style, and every corner is picture-perfect; it totally exceeded my expectations! All the concierges, both the ladies and gentlemen, have amazing attitudes. When there were plenty of rooms available, they proactively upgraded us for free. On our second day, we got an incredible sea-view room, and I could just lie in bed and enjoy the beautiful ocean views. I've already enthusiastically recommended it to all my friends! The daily welcome fruit and desserts are also super delicious! The food at their in-house Western restaurant is also great – I highly recommend the Zhajiangmian, it's so fragrant!"

"The views of Yuan Lake are fantastic, and you can even spot the high-speed train. My partner and I were very impressed with the Chinese restaurant's dishes. The 'Old Chef Cabbage' brought back childhood memories of home-cooked meals, and the 'Guo Bao Rou' (sweet and sour pork) was quite authentic, though the batter was a bit thick. The sour radish and tripe dish was a great appetizer. The only minor drawback was that during the May Day holiday, there were a lot of families with children. The hotel's soundproofing isn't great, and the kids upstairs were running and jumping until past 10 PM. Plus, there was a persistent metallic noise coming from the ceiling."

The facilities were comprehensive and practical, very well-maintained, and the soundproofing was excellent, making for an exceptionally quiet night.
