Mont Rochelle provides such a blissful experience that is the perfect way to start your South African Adventure and wipe away the jetlag with the serene nature of this beautiful property. The property has so much to offer. You can relax by pool and enjoy your wine that is restocked in your room twice daily. The restaurants are phenomenal and have a perfectly curated meals with those immaculate views of Franschhoek. They have handled all of our allergies AMAZINGLY! Their gluten free bread and vegan options really wowed us with their flexibility and already offered dishes. We were in constant Awe and can not wait to return as well as send our TravelSmiths Travelers here in the future!

Only wish it could have been longer. Nestled up in the hills of Franschhoek, sits Sir Richard Branson's Mont Rochelle Hotel. This colonial style white building provides a quite retreat to chill and relax. The staff are welcoming and friendly, a massive thanks to Candice who helpmed me out with my Avis Car rental issue. Just up from the Hotel is Restaurant and Wine cellar which we had the good fortune to get a first hand tour around. The hotel has an outdoor pool to relax, and by all accounts an amazing restaurant in Mirko (we had to canel due to illness). The bar provides a good selection of drinks, we ate from the bar menu and their are complementary snacks and drinks provided in the rooms. Our only regret is we didn't stay longer, thanks Annette and team for making our stay a memorable one and thanks for the restaurant tip in Plettenburg!

Mont Rochelle was just totally perfect. The decor is stunning and the staff are wonderful. Wished we could have stayed much longer.

Love the trees and green grass. It’s peaceful and good for your soul. We came in on a public holiday and it was no issue to get hold of the owner. Everyone working there is friendly and helpful. Good value for money. Will definitely come back and recommend the place to friends,

I had the most wonderful time, everything was perfect and we were able to relax in luxury after a busy day of excursions. Room was amazing very spacious with complimentary treats, nice and quiet, great view of the sunset. The bar was great, dinner at Miko was excellent. We did not make it to our wine tasting so we need to come again soon. Great to know that there is a shuttle to get to the wine tram, makes it so much easier. A shout out to all staff and thanks so much to Peter for the great care and showing us around!

Everything is more than perfect. Room, staff, food, hotel, pool. This is the best hotel you will ever stay, you cannot do any better than Mont Rochelle.

I mean. Where do I even begin. WOW! The staff, are beyond helpful, beyond cheerful and just made our trip such a pleasant experience. The hotel, stunning. The grounds are beautifully maintained, the rooms are such a good size with everything you need! Lawn games available, the pool was heated and a lovely temperature and the bus which will take you to where you want to go and pick you up. We stayed in room 17, and the view out from our balcony was breathtaking. Every room has such a beautiful view. Again the staff, AMAZING. The complimentary wine tasting at the Country Kitchen was a lovely touch. Really made our honeymoon special with some extra touches. Thank you Mont Rochelle for a beautiful stay.

This is an amazing place. Staff are fantastic, facility are great and food and wine was fabulous. We felt so special and well taken care of. Loved the wine tasting at country kitchen which is part of the stay. Thank you x
