My pre paid reservation (rewards) kept coming up not paid, and even though I requested pet friendly, i wasn’t assigned a pet friendly room. There were no advance details of pet charges, so with the price of the room, I guessed they were baked in. Not. $75 at time of check in. Time to switch rewards programs and also not venture to Skamania Lodge again. The hotel is dated, not particularly clean, and you’re paying for the gorge setting, which jn itself is gorgeous. But I can go hike to get this and it doesn’t cost $125 to stay in an average hotel after (on rewards).

This was a beautiful stay! Everything was clean and comfortable. Staff was great and there was a lot of amenities.
The only thing I would suggest to disclose on ******* is all the added fees. It ended up being almost $300 dollars for a one night stay. When the check in is 4pm and the check out is 11am..that doesn't leave much time to explore everything. The food/drinks were also extremely overpriced for the quality.

My wife and I had an amazing time here. Food was great rooms nice and clean outdoor jacuzzi was very relaxing! The only small complaint we had is when we had scheduled a last minute massage with the space. And then had to cancel the next morning we weren’t told that you will still be charged the full $200 even if you cancel. But that wasn’t to big of a deal as they were willing to work with us since it wasn’t mentioned! Overall great place and we will definitely be back!

Lovely, clean, comfortable room, quiet and all necessary amenities provided.
Dining room and bar have very friendly and efficient service and the food is excellent.
A bit too vigorous air conditioning.
Outdoor sitting area very pleasant.

This property is in a beautiful location on the Columbia River Gorge. Staff in every area were unfailingly friendly and helpful. The trails around the resort were lovely and provided a nice workout without being grueling.

The hotel is in a beautiful place, and the views are great. We booked for two nights. We stayed the first the heating system in the room was super loud and kept turning on every hour, it woke us up and my husband said the bed was the most uncomfortable. The reason for our stay was to take my son to a soccer game in Portland. As a result, we did not use any of the hotel's facilities, but they sting you for a $35 a nigh resort fee.
We decided to cut our loses and decided it was not worth staying the second night even though we had paid for it so left and drove home for a good night's sleep.
Ropes course looked great and I think going in the summer would be better. Tree houses just look like cabins on stilts, not as fun as you would think

Skamania Lodge is great place for spending time with family, couples or solo. There are several indoor hot tubs and outside hot tub, large pool (good for kids and adults), sauna for man and woman.
My wife and me had a wedding anniversary at the moment of visiting this place, and we got a complementary gift and card with signs off all staff of this hotel, that was so nice.

We always love Skamania - the beautiful views, multiple locations to sit and read or visit, roaring fireplace, fabulous art, friendly and helpful staff.
