Villa Kallhagen

We love this property. We stayed last year and it was important to stay again this year. I tried without success to use the sauna. Each day the hotel was packed with events. I tried to use the sauna on a Saturday night but it wasn't working. Our TV was also uncooperative. Staff was exceeding friendly and always made us feel welcome. We'd certainly stay again.

Nice rooms with great beds, quiet area (in the Royal Djurgarden) , walking distance to Skansen, Gröna Lund, Abba Museum, Vasa Museum and City Center. Bus stop in front of the hotel.

We had a fantastic 4 night break at Villa Kallhagen. The hotel is close enough to the hub of the city centre (30 minute walk) but set in a beautiful, green waterside settling. Only 10 minutes walk to the main entrance to Djurgrden and an easy and a regular bus service to the old town. Really helpful staff and excellent restaurant. Breakfast was great - such a beautiful setting to start your day.

Excellent experience on the whole. Staff were all wonderful. Hotel is located in a very nice place. Restaurant was wonderful. Especially Moa from the reception and Jasmine from the restaurant, were excellent. Thanks for making it a memorable time in Stockholm.

Beautiful surroundings within easy walking distance of central Stockholm. Clean room with l’occitane toiletries. We had a standard double room this time and the bed was comfortable but on the small side, as was the size of the duvet. No safe in the room, or at least we couldn’t find one. Breakfast offers a good selection, but finishes a bit too early at 10am, also on weekends. A few parking spaces are available at SEK150 per 24h, or additional parking (more expensive) is available nearby. We have stayed at Villa Källhagen many times and would go back, but perhaps not to this room category, if staying more than one night.

The Villa Kalhagen is well situated along a bus line to downtown, on the water, looking at the Island that has the Vasa and Skansen. Indeed, those are both within walking distance. I would say everything went very well... though the initial check-in was slowed by a staff shortage (which was the case at other places we stayed in Scandinavia). The parking is convenient and not too expensive. Breakfast is very good. The dinner we had there was good as well.

My daughter and I are on a return and first time visit to Stockholm. I selected Villa Källhagen because of the open garden all around the facility and because of the location in Stockholm. If you wish to see the Vasa Museum, ABBA, Skansen, this is the right place, everything is close. The staff gets very high marks for their helpfulness and friendliness. The complimentary Breakfast Buffet was absolutely delicious. Our next visit to Stockholm we will most certainly stay at Villa Källhagen.

When we first read the other reviews I thought there is no way this place is that good! My Wife and I were pleasantly surprised! This place is wonderful! The Staff was top notch, A special mention to so some of the front desk service, Emma Kevin and Moa! The rooms were clean , a good size and the Air conditioning worked very well. Since it was in the high 20s when we there there it was very appreciated. The bathroom was roomy with a big skylight and a big walk in shower with a rainfall shower head along with the standard one, Also the complimentary soaps were luxurious and had a wonderful aroma, Two small downsides The blackout curtains in the room were inadequate and let a lot of light into the room . We were there during the longest days of the year. Also the faucet for the sink was a waterfall type with an open area on top, It looked nice but considering people brush their teeth there and wash there hands it seems a bit unhygienic for drinking water, The restaurant had good food and it was reasonably priced. A special mention to Pernilla the hostess who found a table for us even though it was a busy night and we did not have a reservation, A breakfast buffet with everything including breads and rolls that were delicious . Last but certainly not least is the location of the hotel. It is set in a Museum Park overlooking the Fjord with some truly stunning views. It is also within walking distance of many of the great attractions in Stockholm. And right on the bus line if you do not want to walk. A true gem. Thank you for a wonderful stay! Great location just fifteen minutes from Djurgården/Rosendal, in a quiet and pretty area by the water. Breakfast and cleanliness spot on, and the possibility to borrow bikes at no cost made the trip in to the city centre more than manageable.
