Hotel Aktinia - All Inclusive

I am writing this review on our first day in this hotel, because we have been so happy with this hotel already. The food is delicious! The staff is helpful and kind! The hotel is quiet and very close to the beach. Anything you need is near. Our whole family has been extremely comfortable here. Thank you Aktinia staff!

Great place for a family holiday, the area and this hotel is just great for families. The hotel staff are so friendly and were very patient with our son with SEN, it was so relaxing, the best family holiday. The all inclusive had plenty of choice and there was show cooking from the friendly chef, fresh pancakes and fried eggs in the morning which the kids loved, freshly cooked meat at dinner times. I wasn’t eating meat but there was plenty of other choices pizza, chips, at snack time the ice cream was good. For drinks there was enough selection and the hot drinks coffee was good too. They have signs on the sun loungers so people can’t reserve them and in peak august we could find a sun bed anytime we wanted one which was great. So family oriented the cleaners making the room up with special details for the kids. Entertainers were available throughout the day and the absolute best thing the traditional Bulgarian show one night, We haven’t been to Bulgaria before and would go back. This hotel is so close to the beach, plenty of little shops nearby, large supermarket not too far. So much to see in the surrounding areas also. If only one small dislike is that smoking still seemed to be quite a thing here, so many people sitting around smoking outside while eating or at the pool side- but there is plenty of seating inside so we just chose to sit inside to eat with the kids. The only thing I would change if I could would be no smoking at the pool side as not necessary.

FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING WOULDNT FEED IT MU DOG!! THE STAFF BAR TWO WERE SO RUDE AND NOT HELPFUL AT ALL!! WE WAS NEXT TO A COUOLE THAT WHERE KNOCKING HELL OUT OF EACH OTHER RANG DOWN TO RECEPTION AND THEY DID NOTHING! WE WALKED OVER 33000 STEPS A DAY TO EAT DECENT FOOD! WORSE Experience of my life

This hotel and staff were amazing. As soon as I arrived I was greeted by a very beautiful blond receptionist (I think here name's Alina) anyway, check in was both smooth and helpful. I was shown to my room (404, great view) which was a neat and tidy double bedroom. As I arrived late, the hotel made me a small dinner plate (sandwiches, bottled water and an apple) left in my room. Breakfast: Ok brekky might of been a bit repetitive but they had enough to cover something different every day. Hotel: The lady who cleaned my room everyday was so helpful and always smiling. Thank you again. Lunch and dinner: food was ok, the main Chef was a delight always fixing me a Hot plate of food. (Thank-you) The beach was situated right behind the hotel (5 min walk) great beach by the way. As a person of colour I'm always skeptical about how I'm perceived in different countries but the Bulgarian people were both friendly and accommodating which this hotel reflected. Where do I start! The food! Awful. Recycled! One choice of desserts ! We ended up eating out all the time! Ice cream between 3-5 only! But it’s always empty! All inclusive drinks, sex on the beach changes colour and ingredients every time you ordered one from the mute bar staff! Fortunately Only a bus ride away to sunny beach or nessebar but thought it was closer! Staff were rude and ignorant. We sat with a group of people we met on holiday and got threatened to be evicted for being too loud! We had just sat down there!! We asked our travel agent to move us but they couldn’t. We then got told to choose our company better as they thought we had travelled with the louder people, but these people were no trouble at all compared to a certain couple who scares everyone with their fighting and arguing and swearing from 9am every day! So much trouble there. A drunk man throwing glasses everywhere because the bar was shut! Then threw glasses in the pool at 11pm! Then the next morning someone cut their foot on it in the pool so they shut the pool on our last day! We just used the hotel as a base that is it! The worst holiday I have ever been on and I go away 5-6 times a year. If you want to go sunny beach then don’t skimp on the hotel. Restaurant manager ended up being really kind to us after we complained. But it has really put us off Bulgaria . The one good thing was cleanliness,there was always clean towels, toilet roll and the hotel itself was clean .

There is nothing much to write about cleanliness and food because everything was at an appropriate level. I would like to highlight the employees who made my stay really successful. Alina, the receptionist, will definitely remain in my heart. An open, polite, cheerful girl. Her smile makes every entrance to the hotel meaningful. The bartenders are hardworking and polite, the waiters are always smiling, especially Miroslava. A very pleasant and really hard-working girl. And of course, the Animator played the main role. He entertained guests every day. He played his job so well that we didn’t want to leave the hotel. He united all people, which made me feel very comfortable among all the guests. We were all like family. I had a very good time there and I will remember this vacation for a very long time. Because staff made me very happy during my holidays.

Reception manger and team very friendly and helpul Restauramt manager friendly only 2 dining room staff pleasant. Rest of staff ignorant and never smile or spoke. Walked in front of you all the time.Bar staff at numerous times mainly the twwo young n ales did not give you drinks as ordered. Food very repetitive and limited selection but presented well. Bar closed at 11pm. However lady fryer very pleasant. Greeted you with a smile and hello. Lovely lady. One lift takes you to floor 6 when pressed 5 every time. Hotel was very clean. Only amimation lad doing games during the day very pleasant alwats having good banter with guests and makes you feel included at night for entertainment had to go to flower street sunny beach. 10 mins on bus or little train. Walking 35mins. Be aware of mosquites. Everyone was being bitten even with replent spray on. On the whole still enjoyed holiday.

Absolutely brilliant week good was lovely always a good choice staff were very friendly and always made you welcome animation was a lovely man and always tried his hardest we throughly enjoyed the whole definitely deserves more than 3 stars

I once read a review that said food looked like something a flock of seagulls had dropped. I thought that was a bit extreme at the time but is only way I can describe some of the food on display at this hotel. Didn't go hungry because shop adjoined to hotel sold crisps. Bar staff were so rude and dismissive I thought it was a joke. Shrugged their shoulders when you asked for a drink, I get the language barrier and unlike some I do not expect all Bulgarians to speak English but I even used Google translate a few time times at start of holiday, then I gave up. God knows what I was drinking half the time. Very strange aftertaste to the " vodka". Drinks served in warm, unclean, smelly glasses. Rooms were clean enough but bad smell coming from drains. Climate perhaps or plumbing but must be something they can do ? Strong smell of urine outside my bedroom door. Animation guy tried his hardest and was very friendly, well done to him. Good job company I was in have good sense of humour. Would I go back? Never, ever !
