Hotel Pomorie Sun

We arrived late at night to be greeted with smiles and a warm welcome and shown to our room. We had been upgraded to one of the newly refurbished family suites which was beautiful and clean. After a lovely nights sleep we got up on our first morning we discovered the toilet flush was faulty, we reported this to reception and it was repaired immediately. Breakfast was satisfactory, I enjoyed the continental selection, fruit, yogurt and coffee machine. We then went off to the pool, thinking we would be too late for a sunbed as in previous years people put towels out the night before only to discover a sea of empty beds around the pool. People are obviously more civilised at this time of year !! Beautiful beach and sea in front of the hotel and lots of bars, restaurants and shops close by without the hustle and bustle in the Centre. The pool, pool bar and snack bar were fantastic. All staff were very friendly and Steve the rep was extremely helpful. The entertainment wasn't up to it's usual standard but I assume that this was because it was nearing the end of the season. The hotel was spotless and rooms were checked, towels replaced, etc daily. I would always return to the Pomorie Sun but on a Bed and Breakfast basis NOT All inclusive. Thank you Balkan and your amazing staff for another fabulous holiday.

Despite the reviews I have red I book my holiday there. One of my best experiences, very good location, very good value for the price I’ve paid. But mostly was the friendly staff . They did their best to meet all customers needs . This hotel need to put a bit more the prices up because the services we get there it’s for 4 star hotel not for 3 . It was to affordable and if it’s more expensive they can offer more. The management and staff are on the right track so all they need is more income and i will be happy to pay more next season and spend more time on the very sane hotel. Thank you so much to all.

Room Basic .Bedding and towels clean.Furniture very dusty .Cleaner was lovely and came daily changed towels and emptied bin .Decent enough to get your head down .Pool bar and staff who own it are amazing and make you feel very welcome .Good location .Plenty of options to eat out locally .

This hotel is very clean and tidy, rooms very clean and tidy, bedding and towels changed 4 times a week. The swimming pool is massive, best I’ve experienced and the food next to the swim up bar is excellent, cooked to order. The gentleman who cooks the food is a great bloke as is the barman at the swim up bar. Stayed here 3 years on the trot and would highly recommend.

We do basic but this hotel should not hold any stars. Supposed to have Wifi but hot spotted off next hotel so it was never available. Absolutely no good for kids/teenagers. Hotel has had a refurb (not a good one) it is dirty. Stained furniture, rugs and carpets. Rooms never cleaned (we found the previous occupants shoe in our room) proving it has not been cleaned. Tiled floors were sticky never washed. Couldn't lock the bathroom door for three days said they would repair - ended up taking the handle to reception to prove it's broken! Room so small the door to the balcony wouldn't open fully - surely this is a fire risk. Staff rude and unhelpful. Witnessed bar staff chucking rubbish out of the back of the hotel. We booked a trip and the rep wouldn't take a card payment! Come on Balkan holidays remove this hotel from your listing it's awful.

This might be a long read but i think it helps getting all the facts. So my family of 6 (3 adults, 2 kids and 1 infant) went for 1 week on the 26th August and went All Inclusive. When booking it was pretty clear the infant (17months) would require a cot, however this was not given. She was on a pull out bed. Luckily it was only a few inches off the floor. If we wanted a travel cot then it was a charge of 15 Lev a day. The breakfast was the best meal, dont expect proper sausages as they where got dog ones and the bacon was, well, not really bacon. The fresh juices are heavily watered down. Also bring your own sauces, ketchup etc and tea bags. Took me 4 days hunting in every supermarket to buy some and it cost 10 lev. No kettles in the room. Dinners and teas are weird meals, nothing for kids or infants to eat. We had to take the kids out for pizza every night. With it being between 30 and 33 degrees every day you would assume that the ice cream bar would be open throughout the day, however, this was only open 1030-12 then 3-5pm. There is only 1 all inclusive bar with limited choice. If you got the right bar staff (the young bald guy) he poured the perfect drink. If you got the grumpy one then always asked for an extra soft drink to mix your drink! The kids entertainment was shocking. The entertainment full stop was shocking. The pool was honestly the best part. Its huge with a good sized kids part. It was never full at any time of the day. The swim up bar would have been nice to be part of the all inclusive but when its BOGOF its not too bad and its all proper branded products. Its really close to the beach which is a perk. The hotel Rep Steve was lovely, nothing was too much trouble for him to sort. We did the water park in Sunny Beach one day, they provide a free shuttle buss there and back (bonus)! The wifi was absolutely shocking, managed to use it for 30 seconds every other day. Overall id rate this a 2 star hotel. It needs major tweeks to get it to where it should be. It has soo much potential. Go in with an open mind, we went in with low expectations based off the reviews we had read. Its about a 15 min walk to Flower Street so your not near all the hustle and bustle, which is good when you have a family but theres plenty of stalls all around. We would go again to Bulgaria but definitely to a different hotel and only go self catering.

Terrible no toilet flush for 3 days.no clean towels or bed changes.not very clean at all. Food was cold same thing every day pork, chiclen legs. No cups for tea at breafast ,no knoves at dinner. Asked for room near entrance low floor as possible,got 3 floor miles awway hubby in a wheel door about 6 doors to open on wayhard pushing a wheelchair .gave us a nother room but with 6 flights of stairs. So stayed where we were.staff rude not helpfull .i do not reccomend this hotel

Absolutely awful hotel. Here now since the 2nd and can’t wait to go home. Food is disgusting drinks are bad, they’ve ran out of coke and rose wine. No choice of food’s just the same crap day in day out. My view is nice of the beach 4th floor but my room stinks!! Hotel staff are rude. If I could have given zero stars I would have.

Absolutely no way ever again ! We are not fussy people we go as a break away from normal day to day things not to go somewhere to be run down or even looked at like crap or like we are not normal just because off tattoos the staff was so rude and when your greet them in the morning with good morning they look at you like and say nothing not even a smile. The only person we could talk to is Steve the rep and the British pub that is on or in the hotel there is a girl works there is absolutely lovely helpful and lovely and welcoming. This hotel only looks for your money not to make your time as a holiday!!! Also i fell and they didnt even ask if am ok or nothing yet it was pitch black.They do not give a crap they lie, they are cheeky ! You all inclusive bar as night you where not even aloud bring coke into the bar entertainment at the front (is a bit of the hotel too) they wanted you sit in a dirty dark no entertainment bit and drink a coke!! But if you where buying drink you could sit in the front.. the all inclusive only has 1 bar that does beer vodka and coffee NO COCKTAILS OR KIDS ONES .. everything you get in any other hotels free you pay for here.. your not aloud sit at pool bar unless you buy a drink.. breakfast is plain your fry up type. But if your still eating at like 1 minute past 10 they remove your food from you don't let you get drink of juice nothing what your get for lunch is like the same as your dinner and its stone cold we ended up having pizza out the front every day there is only 4 too pick what is so cold chips would be ok as everyones favourite but there where cold hard and reheated hand full of times..The pool you could cut your feet in it bits broken off we left are towels down thinking to keep the sunbeds we came back to are towel in the pool because your not aloud keep your beds and happened to others also.. the rooms are good size and the view at beach is amazing.. there is aloud off music and night life and shouting but we didn't mind. The bed was two mattresses on top off eachother. If uses have sore knees or back would not do or find it hard get off the ground as your very low. The room smelt like cats wee and we where 6th floor. The balcony not safe on it moves when walking on it wobbles. Had a fridge for free in your room and air-conditioning what is good.. my experience this hotel is good for young and drinking hotel for just a stay and go but family or couple or anything like this definitely not at all also lies when says has WiFi this hole week but everything is at your door step and everything you pay even the toilets is a fee to go to. So don't fall for the trap
