Welcome to Weeping Rock Retreat in Wintergreen Resort on. This 4 bedroom, 3 full bath home is certain to fit your individual or family needs. Tucked away on a hill off a quiet street is sure to give you a peaceful retreat to enjoy your vacation. Our home is located walking distance from the Upper Shamokin Trail which features a great scenic waterfall and easy trail for family. Great for large or multiple families and a short drive to the ski slopes.The spaceOur 3 story, 4 bedroom and 3 full bath home is perched atop a hill with (winter) scenic mountain views.In the summer, the surrounding trees make the home very private and almost giving a feel of a tree house. The large expansive decking provides convenient outdoor enjoyment with an additional private deck off the 3rd level master bedroom.Our home has a protected carport for ease of parking and unpacking. There’s additional parking spaces to accommodate family and guests.There are two entrances, one from the carport that leads to the first level which includes, two bedrooms, full bathroom, laundry room, foyer and indoor staircase that leads upstairs to the main living area. An additional entry is from exterior steps that lead to the main living area of the home and large deck. The main level of the home includes an open concept living and dining area with soaring cathedral ceilings with plenty of windows and sky lights for natural lighting and open airy feel. The kitchen, full bath and 3rd bedroom are also on this level.The third floor consists of a loft which overlooks the living area with French doors that lead into the master bedroom. Guests will enjoy a large bathroom and private deck for morning coffee and offering a relaxing area to start or end to the day.The kitchen has been stocked to please any chef with plenty of seating for the largest of families, including 4 bar stools for ease of conversation and open views to the living and deck area.Bedroom 1- QueenBedroom 2 – 2 singlesBedroom 3- QueenBedroom 4 – KingGuest accessGuests have full access to the home with two locked owner's closets.Other things to noteGuests must be able to climb stairs, this home has 3 levels. Do not attempt to drive up or down the driveway in snow without 4 wheel drive.We are high enough in elevation (3,850 ft) that AC is rarely needed. We do have mini-splits for comfort. Our home has abundant windows & ceiling fans to keep cool during rare summertime highs at the top of the mountain. We are Slope-side with a full view to the North/East, Dobie Mountain Condominium, 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath, and recently installed all new windows so you can really enjoy the amazing views. Sunken sunroom with fireplace and spectacular view overlooking the slopes, express lift, and snowboard park. You don't have to leave the condo to watch Freestyles double cross races! Master bedroom over looking the slopes. Unit is in walking distance to the main lodge for shopping and dining. Reserved parking place. Although well known for ski season, Spring, Summer, and Fall are our favorite times of year to visit Wintergreen. There are way too many outdoor activities to list, but a couple of our favorites are hiking, wine tasting, antiquing, music festivals and The Dome, The Wintergreen Nature Center, and just sitting on our balcony taking in the fresh mountain air. The Out of Bounds Adventure Park has a skateboard park, paintball, and the recently added zipline. Professional guides are available for mountain biking. Our dog loves to go hiking all around Wintergreen. Lake Monocan is near by and has numerous activities available. Everything is centrally located and there is Shuttle service located right in front of our condo, which is available from 7AM until Midnight so driving is optional.Do you have young children? The Treehouse is a one minute walk and offers half and full day children's activities. The staff is amazing and keeps the children busy.All season resort. Mountain Treehouse is just a few minutes’ drive to the slopes and all the dining and entertainment at Wintergreen. Some of the best hiking trails in the state are off the Blue Ridge Parkway (15 minutes from the home), plus there are other great trails just down the street. Also nearby are two sandy-beach-entrance lakes plus a community pool for swimming, and over dozen wineries, breweries, and distilleries- all within a 30 minute drive.Additionally, after a 5 min hike to the base of our property, there is a hiking trail along a creek. In the summer time, supervised kids can play in the creek while adults breathe in the peaceful nature. After heavy rains, you can even hear the rushing waters from the mountain stream at the base of the property. Also, the deck is entirely enclosed, so unless your pup has a penchant for fence-jumping, they can be outdoors off-leash on the back deck while you enjoy the amenities!- Wintergreen offers hiking, skiing, snowboarding, tubing, swimming, dining, spa, ropes course, golfing, and much more.- The driveway is quite long, with a flat parking area near the house. That parking area can fit 3-4 vehicles without any being blocked in. Several more vehicles will fit but will block the others in. There is an EV charger in the driveway.- Wifi is fast with a strong signal throughout the house and decks.- We provide a fully stocked coffee bar with multiple coffee drip and Keurig options- Linens and towels provided- Guests can enjoy free community pool access in the summer season (though the HOA rules stipulate no more than 6 guests at a time, and the permitted hours are 2-6pm).- Pack n play and high chair provided- Please note that if you would like to send packages to the property, you do so at your own risk.
