I booked a family room with two double beds. I sent an email right away to them after receiving a confirmation of booking to clarify, that it can accommodate up to 4 adults. They said “Yes” but when we arrived at hotel last May 14, 2023 around 4 midnight, they were telling me that it can only accommodate up to 2 adults and I have to pay extra for other 2 pax. It was very disappointing, since we assumed and state clearly on the email that we are all fit on the room. We paid additional 12k pesos or 6K NTD. Few points: 1) trip.com should have had the disclaimer to protect consumers with this type of booking consumers 2)The hotel could have not confirmed that 4 person is included on the booking. This is against the consumer rights and we will report to DTI about this type of scam so proper action will be taken accordingly. This is an unfair charging to tourists. I hope to receive a feedback upon this asap. Thank you!
