Holiday Capri Motel

Stayed here in January 2022 on a cross-country business trip. Wasn't planning on stopping so early, but the classic swooping motel sign alongside old US 80 persuaded me to take a look. Out of curiosity, I looked up online rates through booking sites prior to talking to the manager. I asked how much for a 1-bed room, and the price was much higher than that on the sites (even factoring in hidden fees). She then said it was that price or leave, so I decided to be nice and just take it (it wasn't too horribly expensive anyway). The room was clean but very basic - bed, TV, dresser, nightstand, bathroom. No desk or chair, which was a problem, in that I had a lot of computer work to do that evening - I improvised by sitting on an ice chest and using the bed as a desk. The ensuing sore back recovered overnight in the reasonably comfortable bed, and train noise wasn't a huge problem.
