Hotel Mediterranée

We stay at this hotel 16 days the service is fabulous Very clean room the location also is fantastic and the view also amazing There’s shuttle bus to go to the beach including the sun bed and umbrella is also free We really enjoyed the swimming pool and the terrace Honestly is the best For sure we will definitely come back next summer

This hotel is in dire need of some updates. Rooms were clean, bed was comfortable, staff was pleasant. There was an obvious problem with the plumbing, as there was a constant odor emanating from bathroom drains. The location was great and views were superb. Pool was a plus, but hotel probably hasn’t been updated since 1960’s.

Stayed for 11 days.. hotel decor is slightly dated but clean and room was good size and plenty storage for clothes. Our balcony was good size with great views of the sea and Mount Etna. Pool area was good size with plenty sunbeds with hotel offering towels for the pool and a phone at the pool to call the bar for drinks. All the staff were amazing and very friendly.

Really enjoyed our stay here. The level of customer service was amazing and the staff were extremely attentive. The views from the pool and the terrace are impeccable. The decor is old fashioned but really fits the authentic vibe of Taormina.

Knew from reading some reviews this was an older style hotel, but the impression was most felt this was an attractive quality. It’s however in dire need of some investment, the pool tiles are cracked/missing or cemented back on randomly, bedroom furniture is really old (but the sheets & towels were clean). The urgent job would be to modernise the bathroom facilities!! We noticed an awful smell (like sewage) coming from the bathroom on day 3 of our 6 night stay. Reported it at 0700 to reception on our way out for a day trip. Advised the shower didn’t drain very well & perhaps this was the cause? When we returned at 5.30 pm we asked the person then on reception if the smell had been identified, he shrugged & said he didn’t know, then added perhaps the other receptionist forgot… we reported back on our way out for supper the smell was unfortunately still present and (as others have experienced on this forum) found a large amount of air freshener had been sprayed in the room on our return later that night. We didn’t take this up with the staff again as clearly they didn’t care. On our return to the UK we logged the issue with our booking agency, who shared this with the hotel. We received one of the rudest messages we have ever had from an establishment in hospitality, I was so disappointed & quite frankly offended as we were nothing but courteous and polite, despite a substandard service. I therefore wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody!

This hotel has the most fantastic views from balcony or pool area. One way is Mount Etna other way is sea shoreline. It's position is only 5 mins walk to main street in the town with lots of shops and restaurants. The main pool is in nice garden area and is clean and warm. We had a large balcony with stunning views. Room was clean with stocked mini bar fridge. The staff were excellent couldn't do enough for you. They have a sister hotel on beach and run a shuttle down to it where deck chairs and towels are supplied free of charge. We really enjoyed our stay.

Wow…. We loved this hotel…. From the amazing views… to the attentive staff. Clean sheets , comfy bed … fresh towels everyday….. good breakfast . The pool is brilliant . Can’t beat the fact that a shuttle takes you to the sister hotel directly on the beach…. It was wonderful.

We had a wonderful stay, but the room was EXTREMELY outdated. Very old style furniture and a shower that felt centuries old and that basically dripped water instead of having a good flow. The swimming pool is wonderfully peaceful but again, could do with some ambient music or more frequent service poolside. Hotel staff were great, always helpful and friendly. Breakfast was fantastic although there's no toaster for bread. We had a balcony with sea view with our room and it was wonderful - but it isn't very private as it connects to all other balconies on the same side with out a few plants dividing. Luckily it was always quiet and we were pretty much always the only ones out there. The room had air con which is great and a fully stocked fridge. Car parking was easy but definitely quite pricey considering its kept on site.

Extremely friendly and professional staff. Very clean hotel.
