Booked city view one bedroom but on check-in was given room 0n level1 looking ‘Harvey Norman ‘- the building sign, that apparently is NOT so called a room with view. We stayed at the same accommodation 2021 but different hotel group then, when booked same room type while assigned high level overlooking the whole Te Aro area with beautiful lights at night.
The kitchen tab has hot water only, yet cold water switch is broken, so we needed get cold water in the kettle from the bathroom.
In the morning we were awaken by the weird noise from the kitchen. Attached is a photo screen from the video taken wen it happened. Can you let us attach the video?
Appreciate trip.com efficient service. It’s the hotel room disappointing.

Fantastic mid city location. No air con and the rooms get hot. Our room faced the car park which didn't bother us except opening the door to let air into the room meant the car park lights came in. Really friendly front desk. Check in/check out was easy.

This hotel is very dated & furnishings need replacing. Our room had a single seat couch in the living room. When ee complained, we received a 2 seat couch that seemed like it came out of storage.

Very good welcome on arrival and on returning from sightseeing
Only one butter plate

I thought that the property needed updating (just like they keep saying in their other reviews, seems to be a stock standard answer).
They need aircon in the rooms and some outdoor furniture for the verandahs would have been good.
The TV only had 2 channels but they replaced it with a smart tv on the second day. Their other reviews told people that all rooms had smart tvs, but was not the case.

plenty of amenities close walking distance. The apartment was clean and tidy. Great views. Pool was available

Despite the surrounding area not being ideal the staff and hotel itself were amazing and we will definitely stay here again

I’ve strayed here a lot over the years and it has never had an upgrade. No air-con which was problematic given the hot summer. A pedestal fan was provided with the shortest lead ever and actually achieved nothing. Only one comfy chair for a double room! Needs a two seater! Looked straight at a wall 8 feet away and into someones bedroom and could see no sky so couldn’t tell what the weather was doing. Expensive couple of nights for a place we didn’t want to spend any time in. Excellent location.

The lack of air conditioning was brutal. My balcony was a few metres across from a parking garage so I was conscious of having open doors/curtains and making my room a public viewing area. I had the misfortune of having what I suspect was a hens party staying on my floor. My choices were doors open and noises/smells (other guests smoking on balconies) or horrible, humid heat. I went for heat.
The hallways are tiled. Anyone walks down them in hard soled shoes and it sounds like you’ve got the wooden clog dancing championships happening outside your room.
Location is fantastic - easy walk to Cuba St, Te Papa etc. Staff were friendly. Having your own kitchen/laundry is always amazing and a money saver.
Couldn’t do the no air conditioning again though.
