Kappadoks Cave Hotel

We arrived in Uchisar with no plan, following our spontaneous decision to drive from Istanbul, and were warmly welcomed by Özgür (we think), the son of Mustafa, owner of Professional Adventurous Activities. His recommendations led us to Kappadoks Cave Hotel and Satrap, their rooftop restaurant. We couldn’t have anticipated such knowledgeable, reliable, and friendly hospitality—it felt like meeting old friends. Our accommodation was divine. We stayed in a beautifully crafted stone room overlooking the valleys, with a “walk-in discount” provided by Erol after a tour of the hotel. The view was breathtaking, and the room was incredibly beautiful and comfortable. For a late lunch, we ventured to Satrap, where Elif attended to our every request, making us feel truly special. We then booked a hot-air balloon ride with Mustafa, who gave us all the details and insider tips, creating the most memorable and misty morning ride—an absolute highlight of our trip, at a fantastic price. Satrap’s rooftop restaurant was a dream; so much so that after a day of sightseeing, we returned for a romantically scenic dinner as the sun set. The staff even started a fire pit for us, where we could cosy up together. The bed felt like a cloud, and we slept as comfortably as if we were at home. We woke up to a delicious breakfast spread included in our stay, which was the perfect way to start the day. We can’t recommend these spots and the outstanding staff enough. If you’re visiting Cappadocia, make sure to add Uchisar, Kappadoks Cave Hotel, Satrap rooftop restaurant, and Professional Adventurous Activities to your list!

It's a good hotel. There is a restaurant on the top floor. It's delicious. You can see the hot air balloon rising in the restaurant in the morning，The staff of the hotel are very warm. I will come to Turkey next time and stay in this hotel again.thank you！

We stayed in this lovely hotel for 2 nights ina junior suite and like it a lot. The cave room is amazing and huge for the price, the hotel is beautiful and the breakfast is wonderful. The staffs here provide great service, especially Elif from the restaurant. The only minor cons are the design of the shower, which makes the outside area of the shower wet no matter how you position yourself. Overall, highly recommend the Kappadoks Cave Hotel!

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The bed was very comfortable. They arranged taxi transport to the airport. The rooftop restaurant had indoor and outdoor seating the beautiful view. The man was kind enough to help me out and navigate the town.

We were transferred to this hotel because we arrived at the hotel that our agent had recommended, several months ago, only to find that the hotel was hosting a jazz festival, complete with stage and huge speakers. The noise in our cave room - during the very few minutes that we stayed - was visceral. To their credit, they admitted that the concert had been arranged AFTER we booked and that they really should have contacted anyone with a prior booking and so they arranged to transfer us to the Kappadox. At first we were apprehensive but we need not have worried... The Kappadox is a fabulous hotel and our room was wonderful. Did I say 'room' ? Our accommodation (room 1005 on the ground floor) comprised a large bedroom, with a king-size bed, leading to a huge lounge, complete with Jacuzzi. Then a corridor, cut further into the rock, led to a wonderful marble bathroom with a vast shower and large bath. The staff in the hotel, whilst their English is not good, are extremely helpful. There is a great restaurant on the roof (SATRAP - see separate review) which serves excellent food at great prices. Two negatives only: The breakfast is VERY Turkish and whilst very tasty, we felt that they could have accommodated Western tastes a bit more, with, maybe, some jams and fruit. Like an increasing number of people, I do not drink tea and charging extra for coffee is a bit unnecessary. We could not fathom how the coffee machine in the room worked and simple set of instructions would be helpful. These do NOT detract, however, from the fact that this is FABULOUS little hotel.
