From the moment we arrived to the moment we left was a pleasant experience . The lady on the check out was welcoming . The evening staff were great. They did everything they could to make our stay comfortable. Our room was hot. Air conditioning wasn't working. They tried their hardest to fix it but couldn't so they did up another room for us and helped us move rooms. Then a knock at door where they had bought up some treats for the children to try and ease their stay having to move rooms. Looking forward to going back in August.

You know what you're getting with Premier Inn and, for us, it was a convenient location whilst in Colchester for a family celebration. The staff were lovely. Rooms as expected and the beds are comfy. Only issue was air con not working in our room. When I queried it, I was told the window was open amd there was a fan under the desk. Correct. But a fan is quite noisy when you want it on all night. And we also had the noise from the pub's air conditioning unit with the window open! Interestingly, I had booked a second room, for my son, after I had booked our room. So having booked first, we got the 'worse' deal. Doesn't seem right.

We stayed overnight on our way to see family. Friendly staff greeted us, we had a lovely clean family room and even though it was near a main road it was very quiet.

We booked at the last minute. Amazing, friendly welcome with clear explanations. Great meal deal with good quality food.

Considering its a 'good night sleep guaranteed' hotel it couldn't have been further from that. I was kept awake all night by people walking past my room with creaky floorboards, talking outside, the TV kept making a clicking noise and then when I finally got to sleep the fire alarm went off at 4:22am, no apology for this and non of us got back to sleep after this so we were all extremely tired the next day for an important event we visited for. I recommended this hotel to my family to stay in too and we all had an awful night. Do not recommend.

Comfortable, clean with everything you need. The only problem was lack of ventilation. The windows wouldn’t open at all so we had to get out in the morning as the room became too hot and stale , especially in a family room with 4 people!!! Also smelt a bit faggy!

The hotel was what you expect with Premier Inn. It was let down by the food and service in the restaurant. The service was poor. The food was like warm. They didn't know how to make the drinks either.
