Thulhagiri Island Resort & Spa

We went for our honeymoon to Thulhagiri Island, it was a super experience. The food was really good en the staff was super friendly, at the beachbar we drink deliciouse cocktails that our friendly bartender Gihan made he was also a very kind man. We would recommand everyone to go there we really enjoyed our stay. Greets, Sander & Shobha

Stayed 2 weeks and it was even better than expected. Just a 20 minute boot ride from the airport. Really small barefoot island with 1 restaurant 2 bars and only 84 rooms - exactly what I wanted. It never felt crowded. Nice restaurant and got lucky to get a table facing the sea. I loved to have the same table (and waiter) reserved for me for all meals during the whole stay!!! Food was excellent with lots of different food to choose from. Stayed in a superior water bungalow which was amazing. Big room, bathroom, outdoor shower and deck all sparkly clean and well kept. A bit of a problem was the hard mattress for my recently operated hips. The whole staff was absolutely friendly and courteous. Will definitely come back next year

We visited Thulhagiri in a small group of 3 families with 3 couples and 3 kids during February 2023 and overall it was a very nice experience. It is a very small island with excellent beaches, turquoise water, nice house reefs and lots of colorful fishes. Very near to airport and very neat, clean and cosy place. We stayed in superior water villa as well as in beach villa and both were clean, pleasing, spacious and with excellent view. Buffet breakfast and dinner had enough options and the food was decent taste wise. Food options were very limited for a-la-carte order. Service was upto the mark and quick. Lots of water sports option available and people were nice and helpful. Overall it was very pleasant and satisfying vacation for us. Thanks Thulhagiri.

The matras was a bit too hard for me otherwise a great place to stay. Fine food nice staff beautiful beach and a house reef with lots of sharks 😀👍🏻 the water and beach bungalows are very nice. Good to try out both.

Just back from a week at Thulhagiri….. what an incredible experience!! Absolutely stunning The resort itself was beautiful 😍 we stayed in a beach bungalow, very clean and surprisingly very spacious. Two small bottles of water were left in the room every day. We went all inclusive and I would highly recommend, bottled water, soft drinks, some alcoholic drinks weee covered. The food was amazing….. so much variety and delicious 🤤 The staff were incredibly friendly and so accommodating. It was just a pleasure from the minute we got the boat at the docks outside the airport until we were returned for our departure flight. Thanks for an amazing stay!!!!

PERFECT - Could just recommended!!! Feels like home. Never come back. A place to be - very friendly and family crew. Perfect to relax and find yourself. Come and see it by yourself @ thulagirisland!!!!!

The beach bartender Gihan was excellent, and his Cocodream cocktail was one of the best tasting drinks I've ever tasted. Overall, an incredible experience, i would surely recommend this resort to anybody coming to visit the Maldives.

Just back from a fabulous trip to Thulhagiri. Went with our 2 teenage girls and we all loved it. There are 2 sets of water bungalows- we had deluxe bungalows that were amazing. Great to be able to swim from the stairs. The fridge was handy, the bathroom huge with great bath but the outdoor bathroom was superb. There are another set of water bungalows which are slightly smaller but made of wood and look great. The villas on land are also great. The island is small so they are all beachfront. The resort felt so personal- within 1-2 days, the staff all knew us. They were all very friendly and happy. They could not do enough to make your stay special. The resort was big enough to have plenty to do but felt very exclusive. The food was excellent. All buffet but a choice of about 15 hot meals with vegetables and salad and great deserts. The fresh fruit was available for all meals-delicious. The drinks were good. We were all inclusive- this included beer, wine soft drinks and plenty of cocktails. There is a dive shop on the island with 3 great instructors. The house reef is superb with reef sharks, rays, and turtles and easy to snorkel to. The diving is not included but a highlight of our trip. There are also watersports including sailing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, paddle boarding and canoeing which is reasonably priced. The island is just 20 minutes from the airport by fast speedboat. The transfer from the airport was well done. The island is very handy being relatively close to Male but not close enough to be spoilt by the city- you can just see it on the horizon. It still definitely feels secluded. There was some evening entertainment which was a bonus. We were excited about the holiday and it exceeded our expectations. Would definitely recommend the resort- quiet, well kept and definitely exclusive. The evening sunsets in front of the beach bar were spectacular.

1- Uncomfortable bed/Mattress/pillows 2-AC was not working most of the time 3-Food was pathetic 4-service was bad/ Slow 5-Behaviour of staff especially waiter was rude 6-They provided 2 small water bottle per day and charged 4$ for extra per bottles of water The stay was not worth the money they charge, there are many other resorts which provide much better rooms and services in the same price
