X Rector Finest

X Rector is an amazing spot for a family vacation. The host, Mr. Wee, was not only welcoming but also served as our snorkeling coach. He taught us advanced snorkeling techniques, and thanks to his patience, our boys, aged 9 and 7, were able to master them! The island itself is breathtakingly beautiful. One of the highlights was Mr. Wee’s 75-year-old mother, who joined us for snorkeling – it was both amusing and inspiring! After the trip, she even cooked us a delicious dinner and, on our last day, kindly took us to the jetty to say goodbye. The kids absolutely adored her and are already eager to return for our next holiday.

Wonderful and memorable few days at X-Rector. The rooms are comfortable, well equiped and very clean. Wee is a fantastic host. X- Rector is located in an authentic village (no big resort). From the shared terrasse you can enjoy beautiful sunsets, take your meals (Wee’s mum is a very good cook), relax, read a book…We very much recommend the advanced snorkeling activity: in the morning you’ll go through a 2 hours training with Wee and in the afternoon discover amazing spots. I will never forget!

How to describe X Rector? Very clean and incredibly detailed placing of all amenities. For example: you don’t want to get sand into your room? No problem, a hose for washing your feet is waiting for you just around. You have wet feet and don’t want to enter your room like this? There is a towel just in front of the door (bathroom and main door). Washing machine and dryer are also available. Wee himself is incredibly friendly and willing to give you awesome tips on what to do, where to eat, where to snorkel and dive at what time of the day. Just follow his tips and you will see turtles, jellyfish, and all other types of corals and fish. I definitely recommend you to take the advanced snorkeling training with a guided trip with him. He will let you see sea turtles, sharks etc… The beach in front of X Rector is very nice once you are able to get to the corals after walking over or around the rocks during low tide. But it’s easier to get to the corals when you walk a couple meters to the so called natural swimming pool and walk/swim to the corals from there. Wee will show you.

This is a true hidden gem on the lovely island in Tioman. We came here following the excellent reviews we read on this place. I confirm they were true. I stayed with my family for 4 nights and days and I loved this place. Wee and his family, especially his mum who is adorable, make you feel at home and render your stay magical. The place is cute, colourful, well kept and super clean. It shows that wee and his family have put a lot of thought in this place. I recommend the advanced snorkeling training and tour that wee offers. He took us to places where we could snorkel and see incredibly coloured coral, fish, tortoises, small sharks and other marine life. We also enjoyed his mum's cooking. The place has its own play area with board games, instruments, karaoke, tv, computer and dvds. I would definitely and highly recommend this place.

One of the best snorkeling adventure ever. Wer is an excellent guide who explained a lot about snorkeling techniques but also guided us to all the great spots to see turtles, riff sharks and a lot more. His mother was also part of the trip and supporting him. Next to his very nice guesthouse we had a fantastic, very authentic lunch. Hebron’s is a very beautiful village!

Our stay at X Rector was exactly what we needed. A welcome respite as we travelled throuhout Malaysia. I felt like Alice in Wonderland when she fell down the rabbit hole. The accomodation was perfect yet quirky. Wee and family are superb hosts. Wee's mother spoilt us with a delightful home cooked meal. Tony and I highly recommend X Rector.

An unforgettable snorkeling adventure with Xrector We headed to Coral Island to explore magical underwater realms teeming with healthy coral reefs, an abundance of fish, turtles, and even sharks. It felt like we had stepped into a living aquarium. Unlike many snorkeling tours that simply provide transportation and leave clients to fend for themselves, Xrector guides divers in small groups of no more than four to showcase the underwater wonders. All you have to do is follow the guide and soak in the breathtaking views. Our group of seven, including three children, greatly appreciated the morning training session that equipped us with the skills to navigate even challenging underwater areas. And to top it off, our host captured our underwater escapade on his GoPro, leaving us with cherished memories to treasure. Thank you.

We had a really amazing stay at X Rector. Our family of five went with Mr. Wee’s advanced snorkeling. A really good idea if you are new to snorkeling. Mr. Wee is an excellent teacher and guide - we were totally safe letting him take our 6-year-old to see the many many fish in the waters. We would love to come again.
