Labranda Rocca Nettuno Tropea

Beautiful all inclusive with a great pool (hot tubs would have been nice, but they don't have), although we spent all our time on the beach. Bring water shoes for the rocks, no sand. The water was as clear as a swimming pool! Things close early, there's a gate that was closed around 7pm to block access to the beach, and we couldn't use the kayaks or paddle boats between 1 and 330pm, very upsetting. The all inclusive package was nice, although didn't include ice cream at the beach bar. Easy walk into Tropea.

My friend and I had to leave the terrible hotel we’d booked after one night it was so bad (Tropea Boutique Hotel). Luckily I found this hotel-resort nearby and we came to check if they had rooms for six nights available. Receptionist Antonella was like an angel and arranged two rooms with sea view rooms for us at a price than we’d paid at the other hotel - which was so horrible and old. We loved everything about Rocca Nettuno- the layout, the food, the pool, the private beach and lift, the bars, and especially the room and the balcony views. Mostly the staff were all friendly helpful and efficient. Thank you for saving our vacation in lovely Tropea - forever grateful.

Currently by the beautiful pool on our last afternoon here. The hotel has been one of the best we have ever stayed in. The staff, each and everyone from front desk, restaurants, bar and house keeping, are wonderful! So happy, friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We have enjoyed a modern sea view premium double room which has been excellent in size, exceptionally clean each day and breathtaking sea view over Tropea. The pool is beautifully clean, a great size, sunbeds are comfortable and plentiful and the life guard is always on hand so you don’t have to lift a finger. The bar staff are friendly, courtesy and the drinks are plenty. The restaurant is fantastic!! Both the Buffett which is fresh, varied choice, beautifully served and presented. The al a carte is a really pleasurable dining experience, the pianist a wonderful touch. Every single meal has been most enjoyable. The entertainment is varied, just enough to enjoy passing the evening. Positioned overlooking Tropea it is a pleasurable 20min stroll into town and an easy incline but up, we did this most days either in the day or in the evening after dinner, we found the town of Tropea a wonderful vibe. A truly wonderful stay, a hotel and location we would highly recommend.

When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted by pleasant reception staff who checked us in and told us to go to lunch and our bags would be in our room after. That was efficient and actually happened! The hotel is very clean and although old very well kept and the gardens and grounds are beautiful. We had a land view room and it was lovely. The bed was comfortable, bathroom a bit dated but clean and did the trick! Plenty of space to unpack and when I requested more hangers they were there promptly. There is one large, clean and bright buffet restaurant. It has indoor and outdoor space a plenty. Pleasant helpful, efficient staff. A huge varied excellent food selection too(we were all inclusive) There are two al-a-carte restaurants. The beach pizzeria, which serve lovely freshly baked pizzas and fresh salads and pastas at lunch time, turns into an al-a-carte restaurant a few nights a week. This is booked the morning before it is open. Ask reception when you arrive. The same applies to the al-a-carte terrace restaurant. This was absolutely fab! And we could book as many times as it was open at no extra cost with the all inclusive package! The food here is really good you can have the house wine which is included or order from a wine list at a cost. The pool area is clean, large, well kept. There are two jacuzzies, plenty of comfortable sunbeds. never a fight for them either. The beach is reached by a lift. that works perfectly. Again plenty of sun beds and life guards to assist. activities and kayaks are free and great fun. The walk into Tropea took about 15 mins but was a pleasant one. It's a lovely town and well worth a visit. We walked to the port down a lot of steps ( not for the less mobile!) then all along the beaches, stopping on the way for refreshments, to our hotel beach. This was also worth doing. We took a trip to Stromboli , active volcano island. So different and again I would recommend. We had a taxi to and from the airport. This took an hour and cost 90EU each way. Very easy. OK so the cons..... considering this was Italy we all thought the house wine on the all inclusive was really poor. Also the entertainment was too. The animation team worked so hard and were lovely but it was all very similar and amateur every night. It would have been better to just have music playing or a DJ so we could dance. Just a suggestion. If you are not mobile this is not the place for you but if you are I would highly recommend it!

We have reserved a week in August, when we arrived in the hotel there was a misunderstanding with the room reservation concerning the view. At the reception there was Antonella that solve the problem within 1 hours , we are very thankful to her , because her help has given a huge contribution to make our holiday unforgettable . Generally all the hotel staff was vey kind and professional. The food is great . The structure is a little dated but with the planned renovation , has the potential to become one of the best structure in Italy. Pierluigi e Alexandra

Everything is excellent - the staff are very hospitable and helpful, the cleanliness is exceptional, the food is delicious and, most important, the location is breathtaking with the hotel sitting on top of the cliff. This is the perfect place if you are looking to have a relaxing holiday whilst exploring the quaint village of Tropea.

We had a great holiday here. We stayed in a premium sea-view room which was excellent - clean, spacious and comfortable. The all-inclusive food and drinks were superb, great choice of food, hand-made pizzas down on the beach, choice of fresh pastas every night. Staff were welcoming, friendly and super-helpful. Animation team were great with the kids and teenagers alike, high-energy fun. Plenty of loungers down on the beach, beautiful views and water lovely and warm. Short 15-min walk into Tropea which is a must-see, especially in the evening when it comes alive. The only 2 negatives were: - immediately on arrival we were hit with an extra €90 bill for ‘early check in’ (we were 2 and a half hours early due to flight time) even though we couldn’t actually check into to our room and just wanted to sit and have lunch (the most expensive 2 pizzas we will ever buy!). This stuck in the throat a bit especially given that due to return flight times we would be checking out at 8am on our last day so it’s not like we were trying to gain in any way - seemed a petty charge that created a bad first impression given the ‘premium’ price we had already paid for all-inclusive. - there was a noisy club next door that played loud music into the early hours of the morning. This may not have been a problem elsewhere on the site and may have just been where our room was situated. I appreciate there is probably little that the hotel can do about this and I have to say that it wouldn’t put me off booking the same room again because the room was so nice and the sea view so amazing! Could be a problem if you had young children though

Well can honestly say my stay was a little Better than average …When we arrived we were given the oldest rooms on the property and we did not book those rooms ..We had them moved but only after we went and complained ..The food was good and the location was excellent..very close to downtown Tropea which is gorgeous ..And the hotel is right on the beach ..I can honestly say that if we were given the correct rooms from the beginning I would have had a better experience

Overall, we were extremely satisfied, very nice rooms, garden, beach, pool. The food is great, there is nothing to criticize, everyone will find their own way. We were here for the second year in a row on vacation for 10 days, all inclusive. Only the evening program should be more interesting. 99% satisfaction.
