Our stay at the Taj Aravali was a mixed bag of experiences. Upon arrival, we were met with an empty entrance and had to request a welcome, which was hurriedly provided ***** with drinks. The room itself was lovely, positioned away from the wedding area, and had special decorations and a cake to celebrate our occasion, which we highly appreciated. However, the Wi-Fi in our room was atrocious; even YouTube struggled to load, let alone Netflix. Breakfast was good, but the staff was generally inattentive. Almost every day, the host was not at the desk, and we had to wait for a minute or so to get a table allocated. We often had to catch the staff's attention to receive service. In the evenings, when we returned, the reception staff mostly ignored guests and didn't offer a golf cart. On the last day, we waited 20 minutes for a golf cart and ended up carrying our heavy luggage to the restaurant ourselves, without any offer of help from the staff. When we raised these issues at checkout, we received a hollow apology with no explanation or compensation. Overall, my impression of Taj is that it's highly overrated. My experiences with Marriott and Hyatt properties have been significantly better, and it's unlikely that I would visit Taj again.
