Shagun Hotel

Shagun hotel is one of the worst that I've seen in my recent travels. Night time Duty manager at the reception desk is indeed quite rude and doesn't much care about guest stay comfort or feedback about the hotel. He initially literally refused to give us the room as per our booking (Executive room) which he mentioned was because the hotel was full, even though we had done an advance booking through Agoda. The assistant instead helped us to get the appropriate room. There was a lot of construction material in reception area and the hotel didn't feel welcoming at all. There are a lot of mosquitoes in the hotel reception as well as in hotel rooms and no anti-mosquito vaporizer or anything of that sort was given in the room. Most dismaying aspect is that we were given room on 7th floor and there was no landline telephone in the room to call the reception!! We checked 3 of their rooms and each room had a damp smell and walls with peeling-off paint. Water pressure on 7th floor room was very poor in basin as well as in bath shower. Also there was only a single elevator working. Although complimentary breakfast is provided, there were just 2 items - idli and bread-butter on the menu and unfortunately, neither of those had any good taste and weren't even being served hot enough. Also note that even though they have a restaurant and they served the breakfast, the night-assistant mentioned that lunch and dinner are not available in the hotel. Also, the phone numbers present on MMT, Agoda and Google are all incorrect. Only JustDial has the correct phone number for the hotel. Only good things in favour of this hotel: Its availability in relatively affordable rates -＞ we were able to book it just 1 day in advance even though it was Christmas-New Year vacation time & hot water was available for bath (thank God for this!).

Worst experience ever! I frequently travel to different cities for work and have stayed in numerous hotels, but this one is by far the worst. Words can hardly describe the state of this hotel—poor cleanliness, terrible service, and, most importantly, unacceptable staff behavior. They outright refused to clean my room, claiming they only had one staff member, and all the bedsheets were out for laundry. On top of that, I ordered food from Zomato yesterday and asked for water and plates. Not only did they charge me more than the MRP, but they also told me to go to the 9th floor to get a plate myself. I was completely shocked by their attitude. It felt like they didn’t value their customers at all—almost as if they were doing charity by accommodating me. Truly disappointing!

There were so many cockroaches in the room. The door lock needs to be repair. The property location is good. Very few choices in breakfast. Amenities are fine.

Poor cleanliness: Dirty rooms, stained bedding, dust buildup, visible dirt in the bathroom.    Unresponsive staff: Ignoring requests, slow service, lack of helpfulness when addressing issues.    Noise issues: Loud hallways, disruptive guests, poor soundproofing   Maintenance problems: Broken appliances, malfunctioning plumbing, damaged furniture    Disappointing amenities: Lack of advertised features, poor quality amenities      Unpleasant atmosphere: Unwelcoming ambiance, outdated decor

my stay at this lodge was extremely disappointing. the rooms were disturbingly unclean, with visible dirt and a foul smell that made it impossible to feel comfortable. the service was equally poor—basic requests were either ignored or took an unreasonable amount of time. the staff lacked professionalism and showed little regard for customer satisfaction. their attitude was indifferent, and it’s clear they need serious training in developing good customer relationships. this place fails on every level, from hygiene to hospitality. i wouldn’t recommend this lodge to anyone looking for even a halfway decent stay. avoid it if you can.

Hear no responsible person with the room not clean properly. The room condition is very worst. The hotel manager is a rude behaviour with customers. If i want to change the room that time the hotel manager says just like another room not [so this is an un-responsive person]
