Lion Square Lodge

If I could give it 10 stars, I would! Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Excellent lodging in great location. Comfortable beds, well-appointed kitchen, hot tubs and pool are perfect. Great gym. There's even an on-site Tex Mex restaurant onsite with full bar. We normally go to Beaver Creek and Telluride to ski, but after this experience we are only coming here!

My daughter (14) and I recently returned from Lion Square Lodge at the base of Vail, CO. You cannot get any better of a location for the price during the summer months. We stayed in 570 which was a 1bed w/ loft which offered up epic head on views of the mountain and gondola and river. The pool, the grounds, the staff were incredible...especially the manager Dillon who totally helped me out in extending our trip due to a change in plans. He worked hard to secure a additional room for the extra nights we ended up being there. That room was INCREDIBLE! I'd recommend this as a place e to rest your head. Central to everything you'd need for food, music, shopping, bike/ski rentals. Lot of units with in unit laundry which is huge while on a road trip. Not far from the grocery stores, restaurants, Vail Village etc.

I’ve been coming here with my parents every year for years, and while it’s not the most modern place, the service is great and you can’t beat the ski on/ski off location. Their ski valet service is sooo convenient. If you’re a serious skier, this is the place to be. They’ve managed to stave off the snobbiness and maintain a more rustic vibe. My one advice would be to bring your own toilet paper. They toilet paper they had this year is HORRIFIC. It somehow manages to be super thin and super scratchy at the same time. Like sand paper. This tp had me on webmd researching irritated buttholes. So, I recommend this place 100%, but also recommend stopping by the general store to pick up some Cottonelle.

My husband and I traveled to ski with our two sons and his parents. After living in Vail for 10 years, location and is high on our list and you can not beat this spot for walking back and forth to gondola, pool, fishing, and village. Everything is at your fingertips and would stay on this condo again!
