It was our first time at the resort, eight of us put our hope and trust in the many comments from a Facebook group and fortunately ... we were not disappointed. At Sol Palmeras, we found the right balance of great service by the staff and stable and wide F&B offers. Therefore I would like to share my opinion this time in a different manner. Appreciative feedback: 1. The staff, majority of them were very helpful and polite (yes, despite being Cubans), every time with a smile, wishing you to enjoy the drink, the food, or the facility. Always asking how can they help or whether we are enjoying our time at the hotel, for example. Thumbs up at the buffet to Arbide, Alexis, Yisel, Aida, Gerardo and his partner, also to Dania (can't recall well her name, sorry) and Felix from the Reception, and the lady at the ice cream stall too. 2. The food at the buffet, either during breakfast, lunch, or dinner; was always very well supplied and with an appropriate variety (except for ice creams and desserts). Actually was above our expectations due to we were a bit skeptical looking at the current situation where the country is. 3. The ice cream and juices and the grill stalls on the way to the beach, we loved them although we never had lunch or tried the paella there. But we had good times under the coconut trees eating nice ice creams or sausages with bread when coming or going from/to the beach. 4. General services like Wi-Fi, hot water in the room, air-con, the cleaningless, etc. met our expectations. Constructive feedback: 1. The musty smell in the rooms (at least in the four rooms we took) at level 1, despite the mitigation putting an air purifier, the smell lasted for a while, we encourage the Management to do something on this matter, specially when there could be sensitive guests for example asthmatics and children. 2. Another thing to improve relates with the Entertainment activities, they need to improve on the advertisement of the activities to be made easy avaliable and perhaps announced through out the day. For example we missed the night party at the beach because we didn't realized that entertainment team has a poster (small) next to the towels station with the schedule of activities. 3. Lack of activities with children, we only noticed one and it was because the staff was walking around asking for some kids to participate in masterchef we think. Our final words? It worth it! We liked it and we enjoyed it! So... Definitely see you next year again! Regards and congrats to the teams!
